The management environment in Korea today is undergoing rapid changes; in particular, domestic corporations and businesses are confronting formidable adversity with IMF crisis and WTO. Though cost cutback, higher quality, rapid production, and diversification of products were accepted as important requirements for competitiveness in the past, they have been replaced by brand power. Consumption patterns have changed their focus from function to image orientation. This is why managers in corporations have invested enormous amounts of resources into producing powerful brands, which can attract consumers' attention greatly enough to improve the image of their products. Brands are regarded as a vital vehicle for marketing strategies and thus as a legal asset. Brands with remarkable and favorable image can secure a loyal consumer groups stable revenues. M & A, currently active between corporations, makes brand equity all the more important. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of internal marketing and increased brand diversification on brand equity by combining them as influential factors with marketing mix factor. For this purpose, literature review was make on previous fragmented studies of influential factors on brand equity build-up. Based on the findings of this study, some operational implications were suggested for marketing managers. The findings and implications of the present study are as follows; First, efficient communication among organization members was found to have a significant effect on product quality. Second, job satisfaction and efficient communication among members was shown to significantly influence price policies. Thirdly, efficient communication among organization workers proved to have a significant effect on distribution strategies. Forth, efficient communication among members was demonstrated to significantly influence advertisement and other public-relations activities. Fifth, opacity of market environment appeared to have a significant effect on product quality, prior market entrance as perceived by organization members turned to be of negative influence on product quality. Sixth, opacity of market environment was found to have a significant effect on price policies. Seventh, opacity of market environment was shown to be of significant effect on distribution strategies. Eighth, grater opacity of market environment proved to improve advertisement and other public-relations activities. Ninth, price policies, distribution strategies, advertisement and public-relations activities were found to have a significant effect on brand equity value. To sum up these findings, in order for corporations and businesses to cope with consumers' needs that are increasingly segmented, internal marketing strategies and brand diversification should be implemented so as to generate greater synergy effect. It is also important to stress that differentiated, higher competitiveness should be secured for Korean corporations and businesses to survive in the drastically changing, globalized market environment. In this regard, continuous and long-term management strategies for brand equity build-up should be ensured and is essential in the present unlimited competition. The last but not least important point to notice is that to increase brand equity value, intensive investment and constant emphasis should be made on internal marketing management on intra-organizational members before strengthening external marketing.

This study began with the fact that the relationship between eductional environments and housing price needs to be understood in the context of the structuring of socio-spatial disparity. In other words, this paper focuses on the fact that the eduction with public features and functions plays a role of housing price determination and the rising price is privatized only to cause socio-spatial inequality. The study first examines how the education factors determine the housing price and cause increasing social inequality in Seoul at the macro level. It also carried out more detailed quantitative analysis on the relationship between educational environment factors and housing price with the case study of Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. This study found out that the close relationship between educational environment, housing price and social disparity at various spatial scales. It also figured out the the educational environment factors play an important role of housing price determination as much as material features per se. This means that the relationship between education, housing price and inequality needs to be dealt with not just socially but also in spatial perspective. In addition, the housing price determination is not just technical research but an social science issue in the context of rising socio-spatial disparity. This study is of only significance as a starting point of promising related researches in the future and much more efforts will be needed.

This study aimed to arrive at reasonable and realistic prices for professional tooth cleaning (PTC) in order to expand its clinical utilization. The study involved 214 dental implant patients who received PTC. Cross-tabulation, one-way ANOVA, t-test, and stepwise multiple regression were performed for analysis. The mean satisfaction score was 4.60 points, and 92.5% of all subjects were willing to receive PTC consistently. The most common reason to receive PTC was a feeling of refreshment in 84.7%, and 84.1% were willing to pay for PTC. The mean willingness-to-pay price was 28,100 won, and the mode was 10,000 won. Willingness-to-pay price increased as average monthly income and satisfaction level for PTC were higher. The price also increased with age and was higher in women than men. Suggesting and settling reasonable and realistic prices for PTC are expected to be useful in maintaining the long-term health of the dental implant and reducing socio-economic costs.

This study was conducted with the aim of confirming the relevance and effect of the characteristics of the cities and cities in the neighborhood area, focusing on the sale price per square meter of apartment. Specifically, it was intended to determine whether cities in the relevant city and neighborhood area have differential characteristics between the metropolitan area and the non-metropolitan area, whether industrial characteristics, urban planning and development project characteristics, and location characteristics. Comparing the research results of the city and metropolitan area, it was found that there was a correlation in all areas of population characteristics. Industrial and urban planning projects and development project characteristics sectors are not significant in the city, but they appear significant when analyzed in the urban area of the year. When classifying and analyzing the metropolitan area and the non-metropolitan area, both the metropolitan area and the non-metropolitan area were significant in the population sector, and only the distance from Gangnam-gu was significant in the local sector. Since the population is concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area now, the sale price per square meter of apartments is also concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area, which is believed to result in such a result. This is judged to be an analysis that appears because the characteristics of the developable status of the metropolitan area and the non-metropolitan area are different. Accordingly, this study shows that the characteristics of neighboring areas as well as the city should be analyzed when analyzing the factors affecting the sale price per square meter of apartment, and suggests that housing market monitoring needs to be carried out together.

The aim of this study was to investigate the associations among the food choice motives, attitude to the traditional fermented food, and traditional fermented food consumption behavior in adolescents. Using a web-based self-completion questionnaire, food choice motives, attitude to the traditional fermented food, and frequency of traditional fermented food consumption were examined in 319 high school students in Seoul. As follows are the results of this study; first, food choice motives were emerged by seven factors, and labeled as good food, healing, convenience, weight control, familiarity, price, and health. Attitude to the traditional fermented food and consumption behavior of traditional fermented food were emerged as independent factor, respectively. Second, food choice motives had the significant effect on the attitude to the traditional fermented food(p<.05). Among them, price had the strongest effect(${\beta}$=.235), followed by healing(${\beta}$=.190), health(${\beta}$=.175), and convenience(${\beta}$=.126). Third, the consumption behavior of traditional fermented food was strongly influenced by the attitude to the traditional fermented food(${\beta}$=.549). Finally, weight control was the only direct driver for traditional fermented food consumption. Price, healing, health, and convenience acted as indirect drivers for traditional fermented food through the positive attitude to the traditional fermented food. In conclusion, since the formation of the positive attitude to the traditional fermented food is important for the increase of traditional fermented food consumption, the analysis of underlying food choice motives and attitude to the traditional fermented would be essential.
Buyers' Trust in suppliers is critical in all commerce, but particularly in the relationship between foreign provider and local consumer due to the liability of foreignness. This study examines (1)how local consumers trust in the product of MNCs is affected by their perceptions of the product attributes, (2)does the product trust affects customers loyalty, and (3)whether Global Corporate Citizenship moderates the relationship between the product attributes and trust. Based on previous researches, hypotheses are formulated and the statistical method used to test them was a moderated regression analysis using SPSS 20. 330 respondents from the university student group in Korea were used for this analysis. The results of this study are follows: Service communication and product perceptions such as quality, technological newness, design, and brand value have a significant effect on the product trust. The Effectiveness of product-related service communication had greater than that of the physical characteristics of product. But, price fairness is not significantly. The trust then has a positive relation to customers loyalty. When global corporate citizenship as the moderating role is introduced into the model, the interaction terms with 'price fairness' are verified to be significant. Therefore, global corporate citizenship moderates the relationship between price fairness and product trust. The results of the empirical study provide important implications for Korean firms operating in foreign markets. But, the findings are limited to the University students and to manufacturing sectors. Thus, the generalization of the results of this research remains limited.
Customer's trust is one of major competitiveness sources along with price in Internet Web-based B2C e-commerce business. In general, trust is defined as the attitude that is established by a trustor when trustworthiness exists in a trustee and is perceived by a trustor. Designing e-commerce websites is important in that e-commerce website is understood as a means of constructing perceived trustworthiness and delivering it to customers. In this study 50 participants were interviewed and total of 831 participants responded to the survey questionnaire to investigate design factors influencing the perceived trustworthiness in e-commerce websites. Nine design factors were derived as the perceived trustworthiness-related design factors, and only six out of nine design factors were found as having significant effects on the perceived trustworthiness of e-commerce websites. In addition, the significant design factors were different according to gender and ages of e-commerce customers.
The improvement of energy intensity is drawing attention as a way to achieve sustainable development. Energy price and technology level are the main factors affecting energy intensity, and empirical studies on the relationship between the variables have been conducted mainly in overseas countries. However, analyzing the relation between energy intensity, energy price and technology has not been studied in Korea. Therefore, this study analyzed the dynamic relationship between energy intensity, energy price, and total factor productivity (TFP) in Korea. As a result of the analysis, the three variables form a long-term equilibrium relationship. The increase in TFP reduces energy intensity in both short and long term, and the long-term effect is greater than short-term effect. On the other hand, energy price do not have a significant impact on energy intensity. Granger causality test results show that energy intensity and TFP granger cause each other, but energy price is weak-exogenous.
Social enterprises are entities to pursue solving societal problems with maintaining commercial viability. In order for a social enterprise to achieve commercial viability, it must be able to provide products that consumers can satisfy, to make social enterprise trustable, and to establish a lasting relationship with customers. This study suggests that perception of value congruence, price fairness and service quality will affect customer performance such as trust, satisfaction and customer loyalty. And this structural relationship was confirmed through structural equation modelling. The empirical results show that customer trust and satisfaction can be improved when the value congruence is high and service quality is high. Meanwhile, the perception of price fairness has a negative effect on customer trust. However, considering the influence of price fairness on customer satisfaction, the total effect of price fairness on trust is not significant. This result implies that customers are less sensitive to social enterprise product prices than general companies. And customer satisfaction for the social enterprise is positively affecting trust and loyalty, and customer trust is also positively affecting customer loyalty. After the empirical analysis, this study suggests implications for social enterprises to improve customer performance and secure commercial viability.
This study aims to analyze key antecedents of customer loyalty based on dedication-based and constraint-based mechanisms. Our framework provides a theoretical lens of how two distinctive mechanisms influence customer loyalty in a coffee chain context. In this regard, this study examines the effects of customer satisfaction and switching costs on customer loyalty in a coffee shop market. In order to test the proposed model, data collected from 263 university students were empirically tested by using partial least squares regression. The analysis results reveal that customer loyalty is jointly influenced by both a dedication-based and a constraint-based mechanisms. Coffee quality service quality, price and value, and service atmosphere significantly affect user satisfaction. Habit and brand image were found to be the key factors of forming perceived switching costs.
