We empirically investigated how differentials in gasoline prices influenced consumers' shopping behaviors at the gas pump. Among dimensions of many gas shopping behaviors, we focused on consumer decisions of purchase quantity and locations and found that price differentials across regions had statistically significant and negative effects on two consumers' decisions. Our findings provide important implications for the future research on gasoline demand and make a substantial contribution to empirical knowledge about how consumers make purchases in the gasoline retail industry.

Internet service providers regulate the maximum data transmission rate of each user as a means to provide a tiered Internet access service or to avoid the monopoly of a few greedy users. In this paper, we aim to analyze the impact of this access rate regulation on the revenue of Internet service provider and the pricing strategy. We first propose a service quality model taking into account the access rate regulation, and analyze how the regulation affects the service subscription decision of users. In addition, we derive a sufficient condition that guarantees the stability of the revenue, and formulate an optimization problem that finds the optimal price to maximize the revenue.

정부는 군의 전력증강을 위하여 매년 국방예산중 상당한 액수를 국내 방산업체에서 생산하고 있는 방산물자의 구매에 사용하고 있다. 이와 같은 막대한 예산을 효과적으로 집행하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 중요한 것이 계약행위이고 계약행위중 가격의 결정이다. 이때 계약가격의 결정방법은 여러가지 방법이 있으나 통상 사용되고 있는 것은 실제 생산활동에서 발생한 원가정보를 획득하여 이것을 근거로 가격을 결정하는 것이다. 따라서 진정한 원가정보를 획득하기 위해서는 방산업체의 체계적인 원가자료의 수집과정과 원가관리시스템의 정착이 무엇보다도 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 MRP개념을 활용하여 원천적으로 민수와 방산물자의 원가를 구분하여 적정원가를 산정할 수 있는 효율적인 원가시스템의 설계방안을 사례를 중심으로 하여 제시하고자 한다. 특히 본 연구에서 제시할 시스템은 계약가격 산정을 위하여 사용되는 것 이외에도 방산업체와 정부가 각자의 계획 및 통제, 정책수립 등에 유용하게 사용될 수 있도록 설계한다.

최근에 인터넷을 통한 전자경매가 보편화되면서 경매 물품의 가격 결정에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 또한, 경매물품의 낙찰가를 판매자가 결정하거나 정보 검색이론의 사례 유사도에 기초하여 생성하는 에이전트가 연구되고 있다. 그러나, 이것은 경매 물품에 대한 최근의 변화 요인을 반영하지 못하고, 상품 추천에서 사용하는 사례 유사도를 가격 결정에 적용하여 잘못된 가격이 생성되는 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 시계열 예측에서 사용하는 지수평활법을 이용하여 최근의 경매자료로부터 경매 등륵 물품의 낙찰 예정가를 자동으로 생성하는 시스템을 제안한다. 성능 실험 결과, 본 시스템을 사용할 경우에 경매 물품의 실제 낙찰가와 차이를 줄여 낙찰률을 높이고, 경매 물품의 객관적인 가격형성이 가능함을 보인다. 또한 기존의 사례 유사도를 이용한 낙찰 예정가 생성 방식과의 성능 비교를 통하여 새로운 방법의 효율성을 나타낸다.

Option pricing models using L$\acute{e}$evy processes are suggested as an alternative to the Black-Scholes model since empirical studies showed that the Black-Sholes model could not reflect the movement of underlying assets. In this paper, we investigate whether the Variance Gamma model can reflect the movement of underlying assets in the Korean stock market better than the Black-Scholes model. For this purpose, we estimate parameters and perform likelihood ratio tests using KOSPI 200 data based on the density for the log return and the option pricing formula proposed in Madan et al. (1998). We also calculate some statistics to compare the models and examine if the volatility smile is corrected through regression analysis. The results show that the option price estimated under the Variance Gamma process is closer to the market price than the Black-Scholes price; however, the Variance Gamma model still cannot solve the volatility smile phenomenon.

Warrants are often described as call potions written tv firms on their own stock. However, a call option is a pure side bet; i.e., none of the cash flows associated with the call's sale or exercise involves the firm. Issuing warrants on the other hand, can affect the firm's aggregate level of investment, composition of its capital structure. and the price of the stock on which warrant can be exercised. The problem of the warrant pricing can be solved by using of multivariate data analysis techniques, such as regression analysis or discriminant analysis, instead of OPM. The value of this approach is that we can evlauate the relative importance of each independent variable which affect a price of a warrant. This study empirically examines the Japanese warrant pricing by multiple regression analysis using a sample or 300 observations traded on Tokyo Stock Exchange during the periods between 1995 and 1996.

웹 상에서 인터넷을 이용한 전자상거래와 관련된 다양한 서비스가 창출되고 있다. 온라인 쇼핑몰에서 발전된 개념인 온라인 경매시스템은 쇼핑몰과는 달리 물품등록, 입찰 및 낙찰, 물품거래의 과정을 거친다 그러나, 대부분의 경매시스템은 입찰 및 낙찰과정에서 거래 당사자간에 신뢰성 있는 가격을 결정짓지 못하고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 가격 결정 방식에 따른 인터넷 경매의 종류와 유형을 분석한 후 경매 시스템 사용자들에게 사례 유사도와 웹 마이닝을 이용한 가격 정보를 제시하여 객관적인 기준으로 경매 물품의 가치를 평가할 수 있도록 하고, 표준화된 데이터 표현 방법인 XML을 이용한 인터넷 경매 시스템을 설계하고 프로토타입을 구현하고자 한다.
