The purpose of this study was to investigate the appearance satisfaction and self-efficacy of college students. The relation between appearance satisfaction and self-efficacy was also examined. The study adopted a descriptive survey design. The convenience sample consisted of 395 undergraduate college students from three universities in D city. The data were collected from May to July, 2011 using the Body Cathexis Scale and the Self Efficacy Scale. Data analysis was performed with SPSS WIN 21.0 Program. The scores on both scales showed a significant difference between male and female students, and the male students had higher scores. Male and female students had similar rank order of body part by satisfaction scores. There were significant correlations between appearance satisfaction scores and self-efficacy scores but there were no significant differences between the correlation coefficients in male and female students. This result indicates that the effect of appearance satisfaction on self-efficacy was similar in both male and female students. The findings of this study suggest that an intervention program to enhance appearance satisfaction is effective in increasing self-efficacy of college students.
The purposes of this study were to investigate knowledge, attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavior control, behavioral intention, and compliance of standard precautions (SPs) in healthcare-associated infection (HAI) control among nursing students and to identify influencing factors for SPs compliance in HAI control. A descriptive correlation study was conducted. Participants were 223 nursing students recruited from three universities in a metropolitan city. Data were collected by self-administered questionnaires. On average, 87.0% of the knowledge questions were answered correctly. The mean SPs compliance score was 4.30 out of 5. There was no significant correlation between SPs knowledge and compliance. There were statistically significant correlation between SPs compliance and attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavior control and behavior intention. Perceived behavior control and behavior intention were significant predictors for SPs compliance among nursing students and these two variables explained 21.9% variance of SPs compliance among nursing students. Although, nursing students' SPs knowledge and compliance were acceptable level, their perceived behavior control was relatively low. SPs compliance among nursing students can be enhanced by increasing their behavior intention and perceived behavioral control. Education program for SPs in HAI control for nursing students which is designed with appropriated educational strategies is need to be developed and evaluated to enhance their capacity to deal effective and safe clinical practice.
The narratives of the digital age have attempted interactions, and the interactive storytelling represented by the Branch Narratives has a problem of the expensive production cost of many optional implementations and poor narrative compared to linear story. As an alternative to this, this study proposes a user-oriented storytelling using user's personality traits. Using the Enneagram, a model of human psyche, and the Actantial model of the semiotician Greimas, when stories and characters are the same, the story could be reconstructed by deriving different topics from the same story according to the user's Enneagram personality type. The theme is determined by defining the axis of the desire of the Actantial model by respectively setting the character with the user's Enneagram type as the subject and the core value in the type as the object. The axis of Power could be defined by the stress and security points in Enneagram. In this way, we can derive the themes of 9 Enneagram types and the corresponding Actantial model and make plots. The users will appreciate one of these reconstructed plots in different perspectives and themes, depending on their personality type. In this study, we applied the above methodology to the story of the pansori novel "Tokkijeon". User-centered storytelling is a new attempt to predict user's choice and reconstruct the story based on the user's personality and perspective.
This study figured out the influence of parenting attitudes and parenting efficacy on parents educational needs. Accordingly, it is for the purpose of being tried to establish a basic data for educational programs and intervention strategy to promote parenting attitudes and parenting efficacy for marriage immigration women. This is a study on descriptive correlation among 130 marriage immigration women with adolescent children. As the results of this study, parenting attitudes and parenting efficacy showed to be affected on the parents educational needs and had positive correlation(r=.248, p<.01). Receptive parenting attitudes and autonomous ones in the parenting attitudes had also positive correlation(r=.192, p<.05). It showed that the higher the excessive expectant parenting attitudes are, the higher the educational needs of social instruction are, and the higher the receptive parenting attitudes are, the higher the educational needs to understand growth development are. Also it showed that the lower the parenting efficacy is, the higher the social instruction and the educational need on growth for parents themselves are. The parents educational needs were high in the educational needs on learning, career instruction and education of effective communication. Based on the results above, this study hoped to develop structured education program develop for marriage immigration women and have more education opportunities for enhancing receptive parenting attitudes, autonomous ones and parenting efficacy.

This study investigated the relationship among emotional regulation, coping strategies and satisfaction in clinical practice, and examined factors influencing satisfaction with clinical practice in nursing students. Data were collected through structured questionnaires from May 1 to June 30, 2016. The study participants were 201 third and fourth year nursing students at four departments of nursing located in B and K metropolitan city. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and stepwise multiple regression with SPSS WIN v 20.0. The mean emotional regulation score was $3.73{\pm}0.48$, active coping was $2.79{\pm}0.33$, passive coping was $2.53{\pm}0.36$, and practice satisfaction was $3.58{\pm}0.46$. Statistically significant relationships were noted between emotional regulation and satisfaction with clinical practice (r=.391, p<.001), between active coping and satisfaction with clinical practice (r=.361, p<.001), between passive coping and satisfaction with clinical practice (r=.276, p<.001). Factors influencing satisfaction with clinical practice were satisfaction with the nursing major (${\beta}=-.322$, p<.001) and emotional regulation (${\beta}=.232$, p<.001). These factors explained 28.1% of variance in participant's satisfaction with clinical practice. In conclusion, effective nursing educational programs need to be developed to enhance satisfaction with clinical practice and to foster positive emotional regulation in nursing students.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among smartphone addiction, communication ability, loneliness, and interpersonal relationships in university students in Korea. Between 15 and 31 May 2016, 263 subjects completed a questionnaire consisting of questions on smartphone addiction, communication ability, loneliness, and health of interpersonal relationships. Among smartphone addiction questions there were significant differences between genders (t = 2.350, p = 0.019) and educational grade (F = 3.313, p = 0.021). With regard to human relationship health, the scores for males were significantly higher than those for females (t = 2.337, p = 0.020). The smartphone addiction and human relationship health results were negatively correlated (r = -0.157, p = 0.011). In contrast, communication ability and human relationship health results were positively correlated (r = 0.581, p < 0.001). However, loneliness and human relationship health were not significantly correlated. The final multiple regression model explaining human relationship health included smartphone addiction (t = 2.753, p = 0.006), communication ability (t = 11.714, p < 0.001), and motivation for smartphone purchase (t = 2.125, p = 0.035) as independent factors. The final model explained 36.6% of the total variance. In order to improve university students' human relationship health, solutions for smartphone addiction and low communication skills are required. This results of this study can be used as a basis on which to develop a human relationship health intervention program.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of turnover intention of nursing according to the nurses' practice environments and job embeddedness in medium-to-small sized hospitals. A total of 131 nurses working in a hospital with less than 200 beds, and 145 nurses in a hospital with 200 to 400 beds were included in this study. Data were collected from 10th to 24th of August, 2015 and analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. The results were as follows: (a) Nurses' practice environment and job embeddedness showed no significant differences between the two groups, but there were significant differences of turnover intention between the two groups; (b) turnover intention was negatively correlated with nurses' practice environment and job embeddedness in each group; and (c) in hospital of less than 200beds, the factors of influencing turnover intention were job embeddedness, age and nurses' practice environment. Conversely, in a hospital with 200 to 400 beds, the factors of influencing turnover intention were job embeddedness, pay, and nurses' practice environment. This study suggests that to reduce turnover intention, we have to improve the practice environment of nurses and to enhance job embeddedness for nurses in medium-to-small sized hospitals.

This study examined emotional labor, fatigue, and musculoskeletal pain in hospital nurses. The study sample included 235 hospital nurses. The data were collected by questionnaire and analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression. The average emotional labor score was 3.27, and of fatigue was 2.04. The musculoskeletal pain score was 4.43. Emotional labor and fatigue are significantly positively associated with musculoskeletal pain(r=.180, p=.006; r=.278, p<.001). Emotional labor was positively associated with the degree of fatigue(r=.353, p<.001). The significant predictors of musculoskeletal pain for nurses were physical fatigue(${\beta}=.324$, p<.001) and gender(female)(${\beta}=.171$, p=.009), explaining 13.7% of the variance in musculoskeletal pain(F=16.271, p<.001). The results suggest that engaging in emotional labor related to nursing tasks increases the risks of fatigue and musculoskeletal pain. Therefore, it is important to develop a management program to relieve the emotional labor, fatigue, and prevent musculoskeletal pain for clinical nurses.
