  • This study examined the conception types of high school students, chemistry teachers, and pre-service teachers about the salt bridge in Daniel cell by a questionnaire and follow-up interviews. High school chemistry II textbooks were analyzed for finding the cause of the understanding difficulties of the teachers and students. Pre-service teachers' thoughts examined for the problems of pre-service teacher programs. From the analysis, it was found that teachers only thought that the role of salt bridge is for ion movement of two solutions involving electrodes. But they didn't have the conception that salt bridge has a roll of connection a circuit. This result was similar to students' and pre-service teachers' results. It was possible that insufficient and different explanations of the textbooks were attributed the teachers' and students' conceptual difficulties.

  • This study comprised descriptive research the life stress and user satisfaction of female students who use University health clinic. From October 29 to November 11 2014, the 203 data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe with SPSS 21.0. The highest score were in 'study', the lowest were in 'friend'. There were significant different in 'Future' and 'study' by major departments, 'friend' different by grade. 'Lover' was higher in drinking group, in total and 'value' were higher by meal habit, in 'friend' was higher in group binge. The motivations of use were high in medical treatment and InBody. Most satisfaction item were free administration and emergency medical treatment. Thus it is necessary to different design to reduce life stress in female university students and to operate effectively in university health clinic.

  • The purpose of the study was to identify the factors on Gatekeeper behavior of adolescents for suicide prevention. The participants were five high school students from D metropolitan city. The collected data were analysed using t-test, ANOVA, Multiple regression with SPSS 21.0 program. In the results of the study, Gatekeeper behavior showed significant difference by gender(t=2.85, p=.005), type of school(t=-2.81, p=.006), experience of significant others' suicide(t=-2.09, p=.038). Gatekeeper behavior had a positive relationship with the perception toward suicide prevention(r=.23, p=.006) and the knowledge about suicide prevention(r=.42, p<.001). In regression analysis, significant influencing factors on Gatekeeper behavior were the perception toward suicide prevention (${\beta}=.20$, p=.006) and the knowledge about suicide prevention(${\beta}=.35$, p<.001), and these variables showed 24.3% of variance. Therefore, it need to develop the intervention for improving positive perception and active knowledge about suicide prevention in adolescents. In addition, future study to identify various predictable variables is needed.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine levels of awareness, attitude and practice of wearing seatbelt of university students using a long distance commute. Methods: A cross-sectional survey design was used to investigate a convenience sample of 118 university students in Chungbuk province. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe'test using SPSS version 22. Results: A significant positive correlation was found among awareness, attitude and practice. There were statistically significant differences in awareness, attitude and practice according to some of general characteristics(gender, age, commuting time, the last point of no seatbelt, socioeconomic status). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it can be used to develop an accident prevention and health education program.

  • This study is a descriptive study to identify nutritional knowledge, diet self‐efficacy and dietary habits of nursing college students and to investigate the factors affecting their dietary behavior. Data collection was conveniently sampled from June 18 to June 20, 2018, for 123 second‐year students at two University located in G City. The data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t‐test, ANOVA, Scheff, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression using the SPSS 20 program. In the results of the study, factors affecting the dietary behavior of the subjects were found to be school life satisfaction, overeating and snacks frequency, and diet self‐efficacy (adjusted R2=0.48, F=10.28, p<.001). The results of this study have implications that based on factors affecting dietary behavior of nursing students, nursing intervention programs should be developed to promote diet self‐efficacy and to be able to develop healthy dietary habits.

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate the impact of resilience and social support on adjustment to college life of freshman and sophomore year college students. 166 college students from two universities in J city were instructed to answer structured questionnaires, and the data was analyzed by T-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, and Regression analysis using SPSS 24.0 software. The results show that resilience and social support have statistically significant positive correlation to adjustment to college life. Variables that affect adjustment to college life are college major satisfaction, grades in the preceding semester, drinking, smoking, positivity(a sub-variate of resilience), and material support(a sub-variate of social support) with explanatory power of 39.6%. The results of this study suggest the need to develop programs that consider resilience, social support, and college major satisfaction in order to support freshmen and sophomores with their adjustment to college life.

  • This study was aimed to investigate the factors influencing particulate matter behavior of particulate matter knowledge, particulate matter attitude among adolescents. A descriptive study design was used. Participants were 218 high school students in D city. The data were collected from May 13 to 24 2019. Collected data were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression using SPSS WIN 18.0 program. Results: The influential factor for particulate matter behavior was particulate matter attitude (β=0.52, p<.001). It was found that particulate matter education experience (β=0.08, p=.157), academic background of father (β=0.08, p=.288), academic background of mother (β=0.05, p=.463), particulate matter knowledge (β=-0.05, p=.415), residence with (β=-0.09, p=.126), school record (β=-0.02, p=.710) had no significant effect on teacher efficacy. In order to develop a program to increase the particulate matter behavior for youth, it is necessary to prepare a plan to improve the attitude of particulate matter.

  • This study aimed to identify gender differences in sexual harassment awareness, sexual attitude, and correlation between them among college students. Data were collected in a 4-year university in Jeollanam-do and a total of 127 female and 93 male college students participated in this study in April, 2018. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient were used for data analysis. Male students' level of sexual harassment awareness were lower than femal's (p<.001). Male's sexual attitude was more conservative, but difference of sexual attitude between male and female was not statistically significant (p=.073). This study presented that the more conservative sexual attitude was related to the higher level of sexual harassment awareness in male group. On the contrary, the more conservative sexual attitude was related to the lower level of sexual harassment awareness in female group. It is necessary to develop a gender-specific sexual harassment prevention education program.

  • In this paper, a new EMG pattern classification method based on soft computing techniques is proposed to help the disabled and the elderly handle rehabilitation robotic arm systems. First, it is shown that EMG is more useful than existing input devices such as voice, a laser pointer and a keypad in view of naturality, extensibility, and applicability. Then, a new procedure is proposed to select the minimal feature set. As methods of classifying the pre-defined motions, a fuzzy pattern classification and fuzzy min-max neural networks (FMMNN) are designed using the selected features. As results, the motions are recognized with success rates of 83 percent and 90 Percent using fuzzy pattern classification and FMMNN, respectively.

  • Chin is located on most prominent portion of the face, so make more important esthetic value in impression. So historicaly, many authors had made efforts on correction of deformed chin, termed genioplasty. But those technique have been performed on limited cases, which have normal shape or width of chin. In the cases with more narrow or short chin, location of mental foramen or root of incisors restrict the use of such technique. But modified genioplasty technique we used can be performed without any restriction and change of frontal profile of chin. So we report a case that was performed with modified horizontal step osteotomy for advancement genioplasty, which had been reported by Hinds and Kent, with some complications.
