Development of a teaching-learning model for effective algorithm education (효과적인 알고리즘 교육을 위한 교수-학습 모형 개발)

  • The importance of algorithm education has been emphasized for creative problem-solving capability. Especially, algorithm teaching materials related with mathematics and science are under development to enhance logical thinking. However, there are not enough teaching-learning models applicable in the field of education. Therefore, this paper proposed a teaching-learning model for effective algorithm education. The teaching-learning model reflects two characteristics : an algorithm learning process is spiral, and algorithm education is based on logical thinking. Furthermore, a survey was conducted for students' satisfaction, and the result was a mixed teaching-learning model with PBL, SDL, and peer tutoring. Based on the proposed model, examples of classes for mathematics and science are suggested to show the feasibility of effective algorithm education.

  • The study shows the typical 7 models of gifted students teaching-learning developed at home and abroad so far and suggests on integrated teaching-learning model that we can commonly apply to mathematics-information gifted students. This teaching-learning model is developed, based on Renzulli Enrichment Triad Model.

  • 고등학교 수학과 교육과정에서의 ‘확률과 통계'단원은 실제로 자료의 수집과 요약을 통하여 자료 분석방법을 배우고 사회와 자연현상을 인식하고 추론하는 능력을 기르는데 목표를 두고 있다. 추상적인 수학내용을 직접 시도하거나 학생들이 실제적인 자료를 수집하고 직접 자료를 해석하고 추론해 보는 경험과정은 수학실험과 시뮬레이션이라는 컴퓨터 학습을 통해 가능하고 개념학습의 전 단계에서 보다 구성적이고 탐구적인 활동을 강화할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 ‘확률과 통계'의 교수-학습과정에서 수학적 시뮬레이션을 활용한 웹 기반 학습모형을 제시하여 학습자들에게 수학적 내용과 관련된 구체적 매체를 조작하는 컴퓨터 실험 활동을 통하여 수학에서의 원리발견과 통계적 추론을 경험하고 유도할 수 있는 탐구적 학습 환경을 조성해 보고자 한다.

  • There is an increasing concern about computer education with the age of knowledge-based society. The learning programming language is taking an important role of computer education. However, the special emphasis in learning programming language has been attached to memorizing the programming language by rote and learning computer programs. Therefore, those were not much useful tools to develope a logical intelligence of the meanings of programming language and the methods of realization. It is positively necessary to improve the programming education efficiently because of the objects of knowledge of computing and raising an efficiency of problem solving. Under the circumstances, this research is aimed at representing an useful education model through developing a mathmatical program into each part of the C programming language, which would be a new supplier of an basic insight into the programming language and techniques. Accordingly it is thought that the research material will be an useful model to increase interests and concerns as well as to raise an efficiency of problem solving or a logical intelligence going through the process of studying programming language.

  • 제4차 산업혁명 시대를 살아갈 학생들에게 필요한 핵심 역량으로서 컴퓨팅 사고력의 중요성이 강조되고 있으며, 이와 관련하여 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 연구가 교수 학습 방법을 개발하고 효과성을 검증하는데 치중하는 반면, 학습자의 컴퓨팅 사고력을 어떻게 평가하고 피드백을 줄 것인지에 대한 연구는 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 컴퓨팅 사고력 평가에 관한 연구 중에서 KCI에 등재된 9편의 연구를 분석하고, 시사점을 도출하였다. 이는 컴퓨팅 사고력 평가에 관한 향후 연구의 방향을 제시해줄 것이라 기대한다.

  • In this paper, we tried to identify implications of selecting gifted of information science & followed educational system via analyzing each of student's characteristics in each subjects they study within Science Education Institute for the Gifted. A study of the existing institutions do not have experience of the gifted students based on assessment through observation of the 1-year science, mathematics and information science education in the List of attribute analysis. Learners of Information Science became with analysis that Attitude Category was superior in mathematics to the subject of science and Problem Solving Category regardless of the subjects showed similar. As to, Attitude Category, Problem Solving Category and Mathematics Cognition Category was analyzed to be closed and we could confirm through the qualitative observation record. On this, the researcher concluded that the mathematics could know the effect fitness by a learner rather than the subject of science as to an attitude and problem resolution area.

  • In this paper, we tried to examine the didactical transpositions of the mathematical knowledges in the computer-based environment for mathematics learning and teaching, and also analyse the extreme didactical problems Computer has been regarded as an alterative that could overcome the difficulties in the teaching and learning of mathematics and many broad studies have been made to use computers in mathematics teaching and learning. But Any systematic analysis on the didactical problems of the computer-based environment for mathematics education has not been tried up to this time. In this paper, first of all, we analysed the didactical problems in the computer-based environment, and then, the mode of using computer for mathematics teaching and learning.

매스매티카를 활용한 나비곡선의 작도 및 기하학적 성질 분석

  • 자연의 세계에서 나뭇잎, 돌기물, 구름, 해안선, 곤충의 모습 등에 내재하고 있는 아름다움은 흔히 균형성, 대칭성, 다양성 등으로부터 비롯된다. 자연 현상은 복소수를 활용하여 극좌표 표현으로 묘사되는 경우가 많다. 본 논문에서는 1989년 Temple H. Fay가 Amer. Math. Monthly 96(5)호에서 발표한 나비곡선 r= e$^{cos{\theta}}$-2cos4${\theta}$+sin$^5$($\frac{\theta}{12}$)의 기하학적 성질을 대칭 이동, 회전 이동, 수치적분, 미분, 극좌표계, 삼각함수, 지수함수 및 매개함수의 표현 등 고등학교 및 대학의 미적분학 관점에서 살펴 보고 극좌표 도형에 관한 흥미 유발과 더불어 컴퓨터 활용 방법을 제시하기로 한다. 수학전문 소프트웨어인 매스매티카를 활용하여 나비곡선의 작도 및 기하학적 성질을 분석하고자 한다.

  • This study focused on the developing a system of computer adaptive diagnosis and instruction(CADI). This system is a conceptual model that connected learning with assesment by using new media such as computers, multimedia, and new technologies. In this conceptual model, adaptive diagnosis means tailored or customized diagnostic evaluation, and adaptive instruction implies tailored or customized instruction. The connection between learning and assesment suggests that they are closely related to determine following learning contents and learning methods. CADI's expected effect are 1) it can contribute to real learning of core concept, 2) it can enlarge the educational opportunities, 3) it can help students study by student himself and learn media literacy, 4) information for evaluation functions more essential roles, 5) it is possible to work cooperatively with any other school subject.

Exploration of the application possibility of curriculum with mathematical modeling through coding activities

  • In this paper, we propose a direction of teaching method for future generations. In order to suggest such the direction, teaching and learning materials that integrate coding activities and mathematical modeling were developed through top-down and bottom-up processes. Coding and engineering experts and mathematics education experts developed teaching and learning materials through councils (top-down courses) and applied them to 24 high school first graders based on student responses (bottom-up courses). Additionally, the developed curriculum helped students increase interest and motivation and realize conceptual understanding, problem posing, and problem solving in mathematics. On the basis of these results, it provided an idea about how to develop curriculum combining mathematical modeling with coding activities, needed for the fourth industrial revolution.
