Objectives: The US ranks ninth in obesity in the world, and approximately 7% of US adults experience major depressive disorder. Social isolation due to the stigma attached to obesity might trigger depression. Methods: This paper examined the impact of obesity on depression. To overcome the endogeneity problem, we constructed pseudopanel data using the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System from 1997 to 2008. Results: The results were robust, and body mass index (BMI) was found to have a positive effect on depression days and the percentage of depressed individuals in the population. Conclusions: We attempted to overcome the endogeneity problem by using a pseudo-panel approach and found that increases in the BMI increased depression days (or being depressed) to a statistically significant extent, with a large effect size.

An analytical scheme for predicting the crack aspect pattern of materials which contain twin surface cracks was developed. Fatigue tests were performed on twin surface cracked PMMA plate specimens to obtain the interaction factor accounting for the interference effect of adjacent cracks. Here, the interaction factor is defined as the ratio of the stress intensity factor for twin surface cracks to that for a single surface crack. From the analysis of the fatigue test result, the interaction factor was presented as the ninth-order polynomial expression having a function of dimensionless crack spacing ratio. Then the polynomial expression was incorporated into the prediction program of the crack aspect pattern for twin surface cracked materials. And, the interaction effect and the coalescence condition of adjacent cracks were simplified in the newly developed prediction scheme of the crack aspect pattern. The predicted crack growth pattern using the prediction scheme was compared with test data from PMMA specimen. The predicted pattern agreed well with the test data.

This study compares economic impact between Software and Medical industry through Input Output Table by Bank of Korea. We classify Software and Medical industry by The ninth Korea Standard Industry Classification and use linkage effects, value added inducement coefficient, and labor inducement coefficient to analyze economic impact. First, software and medical industry have different linkage effects between backward and forward. Second, They have higher value added inducement coefficient than average of all industry. Third, They not only have higher labor inducement coefficient than average of all industry but also simillar effect on labor induction. According to the result of this study, software and medical industry have high economic impact on Korea economy, and therefore are intensively fostered by policy support.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of economic hardship. parents'intro-eatrovert personality, and depression on parenting. The subjects were 487 seventh to ninth grade children and their parents. Data were collected through questionnaires. Children from which family experienced severe income loss perceived fathers'child-rearing attitudes as more warm/nurturant when fathers had extrovert personality. On the other hand, children under the worse paternal working condition perceived mothers'child-rearing attitudes as more warm/nurturant when mothers had introvert personality. The impacts of family income loss on mothers'rejecting/inconsistant child-rearing attitudes were exacerbated by its indirect effect through maternal depression.

However, if it utilizes wet carbonation system carbon using carbon dioxide and waste concrete as raw material it can expect effect of environmental protection and resource recycling. Furthermore, it can exploit another industry production.

China and South Korea have effectively reached a free trade agreement. The deal now faces legal and parliament reviews in the two countries. We need to discuss the recommendations on XML conversion with UN / CEFACT electronic documents. To solve this problem of interworking between these standards, Two kinds of translation rules is proposed for exchanging to UN / CEFACT Tag smoothly. For development and distribution of electronic documents to be conformed to international standards, it is enough to have the role of international activities continue to supply part of the domestic industry and the trends in participation and international standard. Our principal focus is on facilitating national and international transactions, through the simplification and harmonization of processes, procedures and information flows, and so contributing to the growth of global commerce. The agreement with South Korea will be China's ninth bilateral FTA.

The purpose of this study was to examine: (1) the relationships among internalization of sociocultural attitudes toward appearance, body comparison, and body dissatisfaction in adolescent girls; and (2) whether or not body comparison mediates the relationship between internalization of sociocultural attitudes toward appearance and body dissatisfaction. The participants consisted of 291 girls from fifth through ninth grades. The data were collected by means of questionnaires given in classroom settings. The findings are as follows: there are significant bivariate correlations among internalization of sociocultural attitudes toward appearance, body comparison, and body dissatisfaction. Furthermore, body comparison partially mediates the relationship between internalization of sociocultural attitude towards appearance and body dissatisfaction. These results seem to indicate that the idea that there are multiple standards of beauty and individuality for every person should be promoted, and this in turn could lower the risk of body dissatisfaction among adolescent girls.

The aim of the research is to develop a PC based courseware which is programed to drafts clothing patterns. The pattern making are numerically formulized. The of the program were as follows；1. Menu and instructions are displayed in Korean Language. 2. Easy step-by-step instructions explaining how to draw basic pattern and design pattern. 3. Low cost personal computer and general purpose printer are used. The source program was written in C-language and compiled using Turbop C. The Bezier spline is used to draw curves of pattern and to display Korean characters and pattern on same screen simultaneoulsy, Korean characters are drawn graphically. The low cost IBM Personal Computer or compatibles with Hercules Graphic Card is required to run this grogram.

This research is to study the frequency of internet use in domestic trading companies and to analyze how to appear the effect of internet use in accordance with the frequency of internet use. The results of positive analysis are summarized as follows; First, the higher the frequency of internet use, the more likely buyer intimacy appears to be effective. Second, the higher the frequency of internet use, the more likely related companies or buyers are satisfied. Third, it is proved that an acquisition of marketing information is close relationship with internet use. That is, the higher the frequency of internet use, the more likely an acquisition on of marketing information is high. Ninth, the higher the frequency of internet use, the more likely the competitive predominance of companies is slightly enhanced.

This paper is the ninth contribution towards taxonomic studies on Cercospora and allied genera, and contains ten species of Korean cercosporoid fungi; viz., Cercospora citrullina, C. gomphrenae, C. mirabilis, C. plantaginis, C. tabacina, Mycovellosiella ariae, Pseudocercospora contraria, P. lythracearum, P. rubi var. subhyalina, and Ramularia wisconsina. Morphological characteristics of taxonomic value are described and illustrated for these species to contribute towards a mycological monograph of Korean cercosporoid fungi.
