Let $\gamma$ be a $C_2$ curve in the open unit disk $\mathbb{D}. Flinn and Osgood proved that $K_{\mathbb{D}}(z,\gamma){\geq}1$ for all $z{\in}{\gamma}$ if and only if the curve ${\Large f}o{\gamma}$ is convex for every convex conformal mapping $\Large f$ of $\mathbb{D}, where $K_{\mathbb{D}}(z,\;\gamma)$ denotes the hyperbolic curvature of $\gamma$ at the point z. In this paper we establish a generalization of the Flinn-Osgood characterization for a curve with the hyperbolic curvature at least 1.

For the purpose of improving hygienic quality of dried-Angelica Keiskei Koidz powder, the effect of ozone treatment and gamma irradiation on the microbial decontamination and physicochemical properties were investigated. Gamma irradiation at 5 to 7.5 kGy resulted in sterilizing total aerobic bacteria, molds and coliforms below detective levels, while ozone treatment for 8 hours up to 18 ppm did not sufficiently eliminate the total aerobic bacteria of the sample. The physicochemical properties of the sample were not changed by gamma irradiation up to 7.5 kGy, whereas, ozone treatment caused remarkable changes in pH, TBA value, chlorophyll, carotenoid and fatty acid compositions. Therefore, this investigation demonstrated conclusively that gamma irradiation was more effective than ozone treatment for decontaminating and sterilizing the dried-Angelica Keiskei Koidz powder, with minimal effect on the physicochemical properties analyzed.

본 연구에서는 우리나라 강우자료에 대한 분리효과를 검토하였다. 2변수 대수정규분포, 3변수 대수정규분포등, TYPE-극치분포, 2변수 Gamma 분포, 3변수 Gamma 분포, Log-Pearson Type-분포, GEV분포 등 7개 분포함수를 선정하고, Monte C미개 실험을 이용하여 과거 강우기록 자료로부터 얻은 왜곡도의 평균과 표준편차와 각 분포형들로부터 모의된 왜곡도의 평균과 표준편차와 차이를 분석하였다. 그 결과 우리나라 강우자료는 3변수 Gamma 분포를 제외한 나머지 6개 분포형에서 분리현상을 보였다.

Two amino acid residues ($Ala^{494}$ and $Ser^{495}$ of E. coli .gamma.-glutamylcysteine synthetase have been investigated whether they are the site of feedback inhibition by site specific mutagenesis. Single substitution of $serine^{495}$ (S495F), and double substitutions of alanine$^{494}$ and $serine^{495}$ (A494G-S495F) resulted in the inactivation of the .gamma.-glutamylcysteine synthetase activity. Substitution of $alanine^{494}$ with $glycine^{494}$ resulted in a higher level of feedback inhibition. These results suggest that $serine^{495}$ in .gamma.-glutamylcysteine synthetase is required for its catalytic acitvity and $alanine^{494}$ is presumably related to the feeback inhibition site.

국내에서 채광한 자연방사능광물의 분석의뢰를 계기로 이에 관심을 갖고 Uranium와Thorium 의 함유량을 원광으로부터 비파괴적이고 간단한 ${\gamma}$-선 분광법으로 측정 분석하여 보았다. Ge(Li) 측정기를 ${\gamma}$-선 분광에 이용한 결과는 재래식방법에 비하여 분석정도를 훨씬 높일 수 있었으며, 자연방사능측정법과 원자로중성자로 조사시킨 activation법으로 Uranium와 Thorium의 함유량을 분석하였던바 하나의 시료(인천에서 채광)에서는 약 0.5%의 Uranium, 또 다른 시료에서는 2%의 Th와 0.1%의 U이 포함되어 있음이 확인되었다. 우리가 처음 시도한 이 분석법은 경제적이고 간편.신속하게 분석할수 있어 핵연료물질조사에 널러 이용할 수 있음을 입증한다.

A bacterial strain PH-4, which produces an enzyme catalyzing the degradation of crosslinked poly(${\gamma}$-glutamic acid) hydrogels, was isolated and identified as a Flavobacterium sp. The enzyme was obtained by the sonication of the bacterial cells preincubated in a Bouillon medium with shaking, without adding of poly(${\gamma}$-glutamic acid) as an inducer. The products of the hydrogel degraded by the crude enzyme agreed closely with the depolymerized materials in SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis using methylene blue staining, and with a glutamic acid monomer on thin-layer chromatography, thereby suggesting that strain PH-4 produced a kind of exohydrolase.

Let ${\gamma}$ : Ilongrightarrow R2 be a sufficiently smooth curve and $\sigma$${\gamma}$ be the affine arclength measure supported on ${\gamma}$. In this paper, we study the Lp - improving properties of the convolution operators T$\sigma$${\gamma}$ associated with $\sigma$${\gamma}$ for various curves ${\gamma}$. Optimal results are obtained for all finite type plane curves and homogeneous curves (possibly blowing up at the origin). As an attempt to extend this result to infinitely flat curves we give and example of a family of flat curves whose affine arclength measure has same Lp-improvement property. All of these results will be based on uniform estimates of damping oscillatory integrals.

In this article, the logarithmically complete monotonicity of some functions such as $\frac{1}{[\Gamma(x+1)]^{1/x}$, $\frac{[\Gamma(x+1)]^{1/x}}{x^\alpha}$, $\frac{[\Gamma(x+1)]^{1/x}}{(x+1)^\alpha}$ and $\frac{[\Gamma(x+\alpha+1)]^{1/(x+\alpha})}{[\Gamma(x+1)^{1/x}}$ for $\alpha{\in}\mathbb{R}$ on ($-1,\infty$) or ($0,\infty$) are obtained, some known results are recovered, extended and generalized. Moreover, some basic properties of the logarithmically completely monotonic functions are established.

Tracking filter plays a key role in accurate estimation and prediction of maneuvering vessel's dynamics. The third-order ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ filter is one of the special cases of the general solution provided by the Kalman filter. Fading memory algorithm performs a better performance in numerous of ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ filter algorithms. This study aims to optimize the fourth-order fading memory algorithm ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}-{\eta}$ filter, which is extended form ${\alpha}-{\beta}-{\gamma}$ filter, to get much more accurate position of high dynamic target on the condition that the own ship is also high dynamic.

본 연구는 HHP,PDA,PMP,CNS 등등에 사용되는 중소형 A-Si:H TFT LCD 에서의 Automatic Gamma Correction 적용으로 화질 최적화 구현에 좀 더 쉽고 빠르게 접근하게 되었다. Analog Gamma String 대신 1chip Drive IC에 집적된 Gamma resister Ladder를 A-Si:H TFT-LCD Panel 특성에 보다 정확하게 적용시키기 위해 새로운 알고리즘을 개발 했으며 이를 적용시킨 회로를 Test Board로 실제 구현해서 최종결과를 도출하였다. Kick-Rack 전압을 고려한 Asymmetry-Gamma Correction 구현까지 Automatic으로 1chip Drive IC의 Register를 산출 할 수 있도록 알고리즘을 구성했다.
