For $1{\leq}p{\leq}{\infty}$, let $H^p$ be the usual Hardy space on the unit circle. When ${\alpha}$ and ${\beta}$ are bounded functions, a singular integral operator $S_{{\alpha},{\beta}}$ is defined as the following: $S_{{\alpha},{\beta}}(f+{\bar{g}})={\alpha}f+{\beta}{\bar{g}}(f{\in}H^p,\;g{\in}zH^p)$. When p = 2, we study the hyponormality of $S_{{\alpha},{\beta}}$ when ${\alpha}$ and ${\beta}$ are some special functions.

The main object of this paper is to present generalization of extended beta function, extended hypergeometric and confluent hypergeometric function introduced by Chaudhry et al. and obtained various integral representations, properties of beta function, Mellin transform, beta distribution, differentiation formulas transform formulas, recurrence relations, summation formula for these new generalization.

We can obtain the concise description of two dimensional Finsler space from the viewpoint of their geodesic curves. In this paper we obtain the geodesic equations in a two-dimensional Finsler space with some special (${\alpha},\;{\beta}$)-metrics by using the Weierstrass form. We shall be referred to an isothermal coodinate system and an orthonormal one with respect to an associated Riemannian space.

Two compounds were isolated from the methanolyzate of the butanol-soluble fraction obtained from the whole plants of Melandrium firmum (Caryophyllaceae) and identified as $3-{\beta}-D-glucuronopyranosylmelandrigenin$ methyl ester and $2{\beta},\;21{\beta}-dihydroxy-16,\;23-dioxo-28-norolean-13(18)-ene$.

The caffeic acid, 4-O-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl caffeic acid, 4-O-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl-$\rho$-coumaric acid and 7-O-$\beta$-D-glucuronide of ($\pm$)-eriodictyol have been isolated from the root of Vitis thunbergii var. sinuata. The structures of compounds were determined by chemical and spectroscopic methods.

A new triterpene lactose named patrinolide A (7) has been isolated from the roots of Patrinia scabiosaefolia (Valerianaceae). Its structure was determined to be 11$\beta$,21$\beta$-dihydroxy-3-oxooleanan-28,13$\beta$-olide on the basis of spectral analysis, including 2D-NMR techniques.

$\beta$-glucan은 단순한 영양 공급원 혹은 식이 섬유로서 뿐 만 아니라 면역 활성증강 등의 생리적 활성이 우수하여 기능성 식품 소재로 활용가능함이 보고되고 있다. $\beta$-glucan은 $\beta$-1,3 glucan의 구조를 기본으로 하여 $\beta$-1,4 혹은 $\beta$-1,6 등의 가지를 함유하고 있어 그 구조에 따라 생리 활성이 달라지는 것으로 알려져 있다. 현재 식품 소재로 이용하고 있는 $\beta$-glucan은 보리, 귀리, 효모 등에서 생산되고 있으나 대량 생산 및 분리, 정제 등의 어려움이 있다. The object of the present paper is to discuss some interesting properties of analytic functions f(z) associated with the subclasses $\mathcal{D}({\beta}_1,{\beta}_2,{\beta}_3;{\lambda})$, $\mathcal{G}({\theta},{\alpha})$ and $\mathcal{Q}({\theta},{\alpha})$. Also, radius problems of $\frac{1}{\delta}f({\delta}z)$ for f(z) in the class $\mathcal{D}({\beta}_1,{\beta}_2,{\beta}_3;{\lambda})$, $\mathcal{G}({\theta},{\alpha})$ and $\mathcal{Q}({\theta},{\alpha})$ are considered.

We introduce and investigate the concepts of ($T_i,T_j$)-fuzzy $\beta$-(r, s)-open sets, ($T_i,T_j$)-fuzzy $\beta$-(r, s)-closed sets and fuzzy pairwise $\beta$-(r, s)-continuous mappings in smooth bitopological spaces.

Data are present for the interaction of beta-cyclodextrin with 7 pharmaceuticals in aqueous solution. By means of the solubility method of analysis, definite interaction were found to occur with all the compounds tested. The amount of these pharmaceuticals in equilibrium with their respective solid phase increased progressively with beta-cyclodextrin. A concentration of 1.5 g of beta-cyclodextrin per 100 ml of water increased the solubility of most compounds tested (except one) by 15-120%. Hydrolysis in alkali solution of chrolothiazide was retarded in the presence of beta-cyclodextrin.
