Material Characteristics and Clay Source Interpretation of Crucibles in Baekje Kingdom Excavated from the Ssangbukri Site in Buyeo, Korea (부여 쌍북리 유적 출토 백제 도가니의 재료학적 특성과 원료의 산지해석)

  • The crucibles of Baekje Kingdom from the Ssangbukri Site which were used for glass and metal melting had light brown, grayish blue and grayish brown colored bodies. In thin section, the crucibles contained numerous quartz grains and pottery fragments. The surface was covered with fine grained quartz for thermal resistance. Based on decomposition of mica group minerals and formation of mullite detected by X-ray diffraction analysis, it was inferred that all crucibles have been fired over $1,000^{\circ}C$. It was also found that firing temperature has exceeded $1,100^{\circ}C$ in some crucibles because feldspar was not detected. The maximum temperature was assumed at $1,200^{\circ}C$. The magnetic susceptibility values and geochemical characteristics sorted out the crucibles into two groups that differed from the characteristics of the local soils. This reflected geological setting of the site where the alluvium was formed from two kinds of surrounding rock masses, granite gneiss and biotite granite. However, the local soils had similarities with the crucibles in weathering degree and geochemical behavior of major elements. In consequence, it was considered that the raw clay of the crucibles was supplied from the local area of the site.

  • A numerical analysis was performed on magnetic field effects of silicon melt motion in Czochralski crystal puller. The turbulent modeling was used to simulate the transport phenomena in 18' single crystal growing process. For small crucible angular velocity, the natural convection is dominant. As the crucible angular velocity is increased, the forced convection is increased and the distribution of temperature profiles is broadened. The cusp magnetic field reduces effectively the natural and forced convection near the crucible and the temperature profiles of the silicon fluids is similar in the case of conduction.

  • 본 연구는 취업주부의 객관적 및 주관적 자원 가정관리 능력 가정생활만족간의 관 계를 체계론적 관점에 따라 분석하고 각 변인들간의 인관관계를 알아보고자 하는데 그 목적 이 있다 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다 1) 자원적정인지도 생활정보활용도 및 의사소통도는 비교적 높고 스트레스인지도는 비교적 낮은 편이었다 가정관리능력과 가정생활만족은 비교 적 높은 편이었다 2) 취업주부의 연령과 생활정보활용도 의사소통도가 높을 때 가정관리능 력이 높았다 3) 취업주부의 연령이 낮고 자원적정인지도와 의사소통도가 높고 스트레스인지 도가 낮을 때 가정생활만족도가 높았다 4) 취업주부의 가정관리능력이 높을 때 가정생활만족 도가 높았다. 5) 각 변인들 사이에 인과관계가 성립되었다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 문-스펜서 색채조화영역별로 피부색과 복장색의 배색이미지를 분석하여 피부색을 기준으로 한 복장색의 의복이미지를 파악하는 것이다. 연구결과 첫째, 피부색과 복장색의 배색은 3가지 차원의 인상으로 구성되었다(평가, 활동, 조화). 둘째, 문-스펜서의 색채조화론을 적용하여 시각적 평가의 차이를 분석한 결과 조화영역들은 비슷하게 지각됨을 알 수 있었다. 부조화영역간에는 평가차원과 활동차원이 달리 지각됨을 알 수 있다. 셋째, 샛체조화론의 적용으로 분류되는 조화영역별 배색이미지를 분석한 결과, 동일색상들의 배색은 대체로 미도가 높은 편이었다. 제2부조화색상들의 배색은 미도가 낮았다. 유사색상중 빨강색 계열의 배색은 미도가 높았으며 노랑색 계역의 배색은 미도가 낮았다. 제2부조화색 계열, 청녹색 계열의 배색은 미도가 높은 편이며 남색 계열, 보라색 계열의 배색은 대체로 미도가 높았다. 무채색 계열의 배색은 세련된, 아름다운, 사고싶은, 보기좋은, 마음에 드는, 조화된, 멋있는 피부색과 어울리는, 매력있는, 인물이 돋보이는 이미지를 가지고 있다.

The Appearance Management Behaviors and Clothing Benefits Sought according to Body Cathexis and Appearance Interest of High School Students (남녀 고등학생의 신체만족도와 외모관심도에 따른 외모관리행동 및 의복추구혜택)

  • The purposes of this study were to classify high school male and female students according to body cathexis and appearance interest, and understand their appearance management behaviors and clothing benefits sought. The results were as follows : First, the body cathexis of high school students were low, and female students had lower body cathexis than male students especially in the lower halves of bodies. The appearance interests of students were high, but female students had higher appearance interests than male students. Second, male students were classified by body cathexis and appearance interest into three groups with high, middle, and low body cathexis and appearance interest, and most of them belonged to the middle group. Female students were classified into four groups(with high body cathexis and appearance interest, with high body cathexis but low appearance interest, with low body cathexis but high appearance interest, and with low body cathexis and appearance interest) and most of them belonged to the group with low body cathexis but high appearance interest. Third, male students in groups with high and middle body cathexis and appearance interest showed more appearance management behaviors than those in the group with low body cathexis and appearance, while management behavior, followed by the group with low body cathexis but high appearance interest, that with high body cathexis but low appearance interest, and that with low body cathexis and appearance interest. Fourth, female students sought more aesthetics, fashionability, brand, and price in clothing coml)wed to male students. Male students in high and middle groups tended to seek more aesthetics, fashionability, and brand than those in the low group, but all three groups didn't consider price benefit sought. Female students with high body cathexis and appearance interest tended to seek more aesthetics and fashionability than those in other three groups. And only the group with low body cathexis and appearance interest didn't consider brand benefit sought. All four groups were found to consider price benefit sought. I hope that results of this study help teachers to guide students' clothing life more positively by understanding their appearance management behaviors and clothing benefits sought than to control negatively.

Quantitative Analysis and Archaeometric Interpretation for Molten Glass and Bronze Materials within Baekje Crucibles from the Ssangbukri Site in Buyeo, Korea (부여 쌍북리유적 출토 백제 도가니 내부 유리 및 청동 용융물질의 정량분석과 고고과학적 해석)

  • This study focused on the material characteristics and archaeometric relationship between the molten glass and bronze materials within the crucibles and gilt-bronze Bodhisattva statue excavated from the Ssangbukri site in Buyeo, Korea. Yellowish green to red brown vitreous material in the crucibles was identified as lead glass which contained scarce amount of BaO, and low $Al_2O_3$ and CaO. Metallic molten material was identified as bronze of copper-tin-lead alloy with low amount of impurities that indicated well-refined materials. Also, cassiterite was used for raw metal ore of tin. The Bodhisattva statue consisted of major copper with trace impurities in the core metal, and gold amalgam in the gilded layer. Though lead isotopic analysis showed contradictory results in each lead glass, bronze and Bodhisattva statue that required further examination, it could be stated that the statue was made in the Ssangbukri site based on the high-level technical skills of bronze production.

Studies on the Manufacturing of Carbon Bond Graphite Crucible (카아본 본드형 흑연 도가니 제조에 관한 연구)

  • This study was focused on the improvement of production techniques of small crucibles in relation with the appropriate selection of raw materials, various batch compositions and physical and chemical characteristics of the crucibles. Various tests gave the optimum batch composition for the carbon bond graphite cructble as follows: Pyontaek graphite flake (refractory aggregate) : 40Part Silicon carbide: 15Part Tar pitch (binder) : 11Part Inorganic additives (to improve the oxidation resistance) : 15 Part Cryolite : 3 Part Ferro manganese : 2 Part Ferrosilicon : 25 Part Crucibles pressed with 400kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 12$0^{\circ}C$. and fired in reducing atmosphere at 120$0^{\circ}C$ brought the most favorable results as follows: Bulk density : 2.31 Apparent density : 2.58 Porosity : 15.2% Oxidation loss at 1, 50$0^{\circ}C$. for 3 hrs : below 3.77% Water absorption : 6.01% Compressive strength : 438kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ Tensile strength : 256kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

  • A brown ring (hereinafter referred to as BR) on the inner surface of a quartz glass crucible used in the manufacturing process of a silicon ingot for semiconductor wafers was studied. BR is 20~30 ㎛ in size and has an asymmetric brown ring shape. The size and distribution of BR were different depending on the crucible location, and the size and distribution of BR were the largest and most abundant in the round part with the highest crucible temperature during Si ingot growth. BR contains cristobalite, which has a higher coefficient of thermal expansion than quartz glass, so it is considered that surface cracks appear. The color development of BR and pin holes are presumed to be due to oxygen vacancies.

  • This study attempted to verify the influence of appearance satisfaction on interest in eye makeup and makeup care behavior in female consumers and provide basic data which are needed to plan marketing strategies and develop cosmetics in the cosmetics market. For this, a questionnaire survey was performed against adult women in their 20-50s from the capital region. A total of 399 copies were used for final analysis, and the results found the followings: First, differences were found in appearance satisfaction, interest in eye makeup and makeup care behavior by general characteristics. In other words, interest in eye makeup started with 'self-care', showing interest in chasing a trend. Second, concerning the effects of appearance satisfaction on interest in eye makeup, as the respondents were more satisfied with their facial contour, they were more interested in eye makeup. Third, in terms of the influence of appearance satisfaction on eye makeup care behavior, as they were more satisfied with their skin conditions, trend-setting makeup care behavior increased. Consequently, increase in appearance satisfaction enhanced interest in eye makeup, having an influence on makeup care behavior.
