  • 이 논문에서는 CS-Semistratifiable 공간보다 더 일반화된 공간 Cn-Semistratifiable을 정의 하며 그에 따른 여러가지 성질들을 조사하였다. 위상 공간(X, $\tau$)에 대하여 $\alpha$$\times$$\tau$에서 X의 폐집합족으로의 함수 S가 존재하여 다음 조건들을 만족할 때 공간X는 Cn-Semistratifiable over $\alpha$라 정의한다. a) 임의의 개집합 U에 대하여 U=U{S($\beta$, U) : $\beta$<$\alpha$} b) U, V가 X의 개집합이고 U⊂CV이면 모든 $\beta$<$\alpha$에 대하여 S($\beta$, V)⊂S($\beta$, V)이다. c) 만약 ${\gamma}$<$\beta$<$\alpha$ 이라면 임의의 개집합 U에 대하여 S(${\gamma}$, U)⊂S($\beta$, U)이다. d) X의 수렴하는 net $X_{\beta}$$\longrightarrow$X와 X를 품는 임의의 개집합 U에 대하여 적당한 $\beta$<$\alpha$가 존재하여 X$\in$S($\beta$. U)이고 { $X_{\beta}$}는 S($\beta$, U)안에 eventual하게 들어간다. 위의 정의에 의하여 다음과 같은 성질들이 증명되었다. 1 . Strstifiable over $\alpha$$\longrightarrow$cn-semistratifiable over$\longrightarrow$semistratifiable over $\alpha$ 2, 어떤 공간이 cn-Semistratifiable over $\alpha$이기 위한 필요충분 조건은 그것이 linearly cushioned cn-pairnet를 갖는 것이다. 3. cn-semistratifiable over $\alpha$의 부분공간 역시 cn-semistratifiabie over $\alpha$ 하다. 4. on-semistratifiable over $\alpha$의 유한개의 적공간 역시 cn-semistratifiabie over $\alpha$한다. 5. 폐 cn-semistratifiable over $\alpha$ 부분공간들의 합공간 역시 on-semistrbtifiable over $\alpha$ 하다. 6. 폐연속 net-cevering 함수에 의하여 cn-semistratifiable over $\alpha$ 성질이 보존된다.

Kinetics and Mechanism for [Ni(CN)$_4]^{2-}$ Formation from [Ni(H$_2O)_6]^{2+}$ and [CN]$^-$ in Gelatin Solution (Gelatin 水溶液에서의 [Ni(H$_2O)_6]^{2+}$ 와 [CN]$^-$로 부터 [Ni(CN)$_4]^{2-}$生成에 관한 速度論的 硏究)

  • Kinetics studies on the reaction system of $[Ni(H_2O)_6]^{2+}+4CN^-{\rightleftharpoons}[Ni(CN)_4]^{2-}$ have been carried out in 0.005% gelatin solution at $25^{\circ}C$ by means of conductometry. The fifth-order kinetics were observed in the formation rate of $[Ni(CN)_4]^{2-}$ from the reaction of [Ni(H$_2O)_6]^{2+}$ and [CN]$^-$. The reaction was found first order in $[Ni(H_2O)_6]^{2+}$ and fourth order in [CN]$^-$. ${\Delta}H^{\neq}$ and ${\Delta}S^{\neq}$ were obtained the values of 5.15kcal/mole and -35.07 e.u., respectively. We have proposed the possible mechanism from the data obtained.

Estimating Runoff Curve Numbers for Paddy Fields (논의 유출곡선번호 추정)

  • This study involves field monitoring of hydrlolgic characteristics of paddy fields under common irrigation practice, statistical analysis of maximum retention storage, determination of CNs for antecedent moisture conditions. Curve numbers were estimated from observed rainfall-runoff relationship of two years data. The estimated CN for AMC-II was 78, and the CNs for AMC-I and II were 63 and 88, respectively. A water balance model was used to find the effect of ridge height changes and initial ponding depth in paddy fields on runoff. The probability distribution of initial ponding depth was also investigated. The initial ponding depth follows normal probability distribution. Initial ponding depth corresponding 10%, 50%, and 90% probability were considered to be equivalent to AMC-I, AMC-II, and AMC-III, respectively. Long-term runoff data from paddy fields were simulated by a water balance model using recorded climate data, ridge height and estimated initial ponding depth derived from probability distribution. The estimated CNs using simulated runoff were 70, 79, and 89 for CN-I, CN-II, and CN-III, respectively.

  • Generally brittle eta phase produced during TiC deposition has a effect on the TRS (transverse rupture strength ; thoughness). Therefore it is necessary to reduce eta(η), phase for the improvement of tool life. At this experiment some properties (TRS, bonding strength, tool life, eta phase)have been investigated by inserting TiN or TiCN underlayer between TiC layer and substrate. The results obtained were as follows; 1. by inserting underlayer eta phase were decreased and TRS was increased, but the bonding strength was decreased. 2. the diffusion of W, Co from the substrate was hindered by the underlayer. 3. TiC layer with TiCN underlayer had the finsest grain size. 4. by inserting underlayer (TiCN or TiN) the tool life was improved and especially notch and crater wear resistance was greatly improved.

Extended H$\ddot{u}$ckel Calculations on the Oxidative Addition Reaction of $(TBA)_2Pt(CN)_4$ with Halogen

  • The mechanism on the oxidative addition reaction of $(TBA)_2\;Pt(CN)_4$ with $Cl_2$ has been studied by means of extended Huckel calculations. Among two possible mechanisms, computational calculations demonstrated that the linear approach of $Cl_2$ to a $Pt(CN)_4$ moiety is more favourable than three-centered transition state. From our calculations, the most stable process is that a $Pt(CN)_4$ moiety interacts with $Cl_2$ in the linear transition state and the cleavage of Cl-Cl bond in a coordinated halogen occurred spontaneously, giving rise to a trans product by back-attacking a $Pt(CN)_4Cl$ moiety by Cl. The process consists of the comparison in the stability of each intermediate with use of bonding and potential energy.

Determination of Total Phenols in Environmental Waters by Capillary-HPLC with U.S.E.P.A. Classified Eleven Priority Pollutant Phenols after Nitrosation and Their Visible Spectrophotometric Detection

  • The determination of total phenols was accomplished by capillary-high performance liquid chromatography (capillary-HPLC) after nitrosation of the U.S.E.P.A. classified 11 priority pollutant phenols, using the nitrosated parent phenol (POHNO) as a reference for calibration. The optimum mobile phase composition for this analysis was found by examining the effect of changing the percentage of acetonitrile (MeCN) in the mobile phase on retention factors (k values) and peak intensities. As MeCN percentage was increased, k values were reduced and peak intensities were generally increased. From the results obtained, it was found that the optimum mobile phase was 90%(v/v) MeCN solution at pH 8.0, the detection wavelength of 400 nm, and a detection limit (D.L., concentration at signal to noise ratio (S/N) of 3.0) of 4.5 ${\times}$ $10^{-7}$ M. In addition, 10 of the 11 phenols present in mineral or waste water were separated after the nitrosation by capillary-HPLC. The optimum mobile phase for separation was a 40%(v/v) MeCN solution at pH 5.0.

Redetermining the curve number of Korean forest according to hydrologic condition class (수문학적 조건 등급에 따른 우리나라 산림의 유출곡선지수 재산정)

  • The SCS-CN (Soil Conservation Service-Curve Number) method has been practically applied for estimating the effective precipitation. The CN is used to be determined according to the land use condition based on the US standard. However, there are two distinctive differences between U.S. and Korean land use conditions: mountainous (forest) and rice paddy area that cover more than 70% of the Korean territory. The previous work proposed to use 79 for rice paddy area, regardless of the soil type. Because US SCS's goal was originally to increase crops, the SCS classification standard provides only for woods and there are no criteria to distinguish the wood and forest. To determine the CN for forest, alternatively the U.S. Forest Service criteria have been employed in practice considering hydrologic condition class. In this study, we investigated the change of the forest CN using the observed rainfall - runoff data within the target area. The results indicated that the CN for forest was suitable for HC=1, and the corresponding CNs were redetermined between 54 and 55.
