  • Our aim is to establish certain image formulas of the (p, q)-extended modified Bessel function of the second kind Mν,p,q(z) by employing the Marichev-Saigo-Maeda fractional calculus (integral and differential) operators including their composition formulas and using certain integral transforms involving (p, q)-extended modified Bessel function of the second kind Mν,p,q(z). Corresponding assertions for the Saigo's, Riemann-Liouville (R-L) and Erdélyi-Kober (E-K) fractional integral and differential operators are deduced. All the results are represented in terms of the Hadamard product of the (p, q)-extended modified Bessel function of the second kind Mν,p,q(z) and Fox-Wright function rΨs(z).

  • To inspect the changing of the forest soil and plants community structrure by air plooutand & acid rain during from September to November in 1990, the smapling sites were selected in the Piwon, Namsan and Kwangnung forest. In sites, plots were set up in Q. aliena forest at Piwon, Quercus mongolica and Pinus densiflora forest at Namsan and Q. mongolica and Pinus densiflora forest at Kwangnung. To obtain the individual number of trees, number of species, importance values and species diversity, using the Curtis & McIntosh methods. The results are following that; 1) In Pinus densiflora community, it was almost dominated by Q. spp. in the canopy layer and P. densiflora and Carpinus laxiflora through the subtree to shrub layer at Kwangnung. It wassaid that C. laxiflora is the climax species in moddle temperature zone. On the contrary, in Namsan forest, there is no appearance thesamplings of P. densiflora & C. laxiflora, but Styrax japonica and Stephanandra incisa that are acid-tolerance species are dominant ones. On the other hand, in Q. spp. community, Q. spp. and C. laxiflora are dominant ones. On the other hand, in Q. spp. community, Q. spp. and C. laxiflora are dominant species through all layer, and in addition C. cordata somewhat appear at Kwangnung. But at Namsan and Piwon forest, Q. mongolica & Q. aliena that were dominant species in canopy layer disappeared in the subtreeand shrub layer, and C. laxiflora and Corunus cordata absolutely disappeared. It were similarly dominated by Robinia pseudo-acacia, Styrax japonica, Sorbus alnifolia, Acer pseudo-sieboldianum, Rhododendrn mucronulatum and so on at Namsn and Piwon forest. In the light of these facts, it found out that disclimax was similar between Namsan and Piwon forest. 2) Species diversity and maximum species diversity were decreased in Kwangnumg, Namsan, Piwon in order. It was xpected that vegetational community was affected by environmental pollutant. 3) As the vegetational community structure analyses, using DCA technique among the ordination, ecological successional series are stopped to Q. spp. from P. densiflora at Namsan and Piwon, but that of Kwangnung is on the way that P. densiflora, Q. alena, C. laxiflora. It was obvi ously different from Namsan and Piwon. 4) In Q. spp. & P. densiflora community, the number of woody plants inNamsan & Piwon is much less than that of Kwangnung through all Layer. Especially, Piwon shown very severe difference. Through all community, the number of individuals of Piwon and Namsan are less than that of Kwangnung. Specially, that of the shrub layer is obvious. 5) In the growth rate of trees, it found out that all sites showed the growth decline phenomena. Especially, since in 1975, there have been the micro disclimax phenomena in Q. community of Kwangnung. 6) In the Q. community, soil acidity of Namsan & Piwon measured 4.57, 4.40 respectively. It was very strong acidity and far lower than that of Kwangnung. Also the content amount of Mg++ in Namsan & Piwon forest were still lower than Kwangnung.

  • This paper deals with the statistical properties of parameters B and q in the creep crack growth rate (CCGR) law, da/dt=B$(C^*)^q$, in Mod. 9Cr-1Mo (ASME Gr.91) steel which is considered a candidate materials for fabricating next generation nuclear reactors. The CCGR data were obtained by creep crack growth (CCG) tests performed on 1/2-inch compact tension (CT) specimens under an applied load of 5000N at a temperature of $600^{\circ}C$. The CCG behavior was analyzed statistically using the empirical equation between CCGR, da/dt and the creep fracture mechanics parameter, $C^*$. The B and q values were determined for each specimen by the least-squares fitting method. The probability distribution functions for B and q were investigated using normal, log-normal, and Weibull distributions. As far as this study is considered, it can be appeared that B and q followed the log-normal and Weibull distributions. Moreover, a strong positive linear correlation was found between B and q.

  • This study was conducted to develop a japonica-type rice cultivar with brown planthopper (BPH) resistance using DNA markers. A doubled haploid (DH) population consisting of 120 pure-lines was established by anther culture of $F_1$ hybrids between 'Samgang', a Tongil type BPH resistance cultivar, and 'Nagdong', a japonica cultivar. To determine the map position of genes responsible for BPH resistance in rice, a genetic map was constructed based on 120 DH lines. A total of 162 molecular markers were classified into 12 linkage groups, covering 1,884 Kosami centimorgan (cM) with an average of 11.6 cM. Five QTLs (qBPR3, qBPR6, qBPR7, qBPR8, and qBPR12) associated with BPH resistance were identified and mapped on chromosomes 3, 6, 7, 8, and 12, respectively, using the genetic map constructed in this study. To analyze the relationship between BPH resistance and agronomic traits, a total of eight QTLs related to the agronomic traits were detected on 12 rice chromosomes. In an analysis of relationships, three QTLs (qBPR3, qBPR7, and qBPR8) showed a linkage with tested agronomic traits. A QTL (qBPR3) located on chromosome 3 (RM282-3023) was closely linked to culm length (qCL3). The QTL (qBPR8) for BPH resistance on the short arm of chromosome 8 also overlapped the region detected in culm length (qCL8).

  • A right R-module P is $c$-separative provided that $$P{\oplus}P{{c}\atop{\simeq_-}}P{\oplus}Q{\Longrightarrow}P{\simeq_-}Q$$ for any right R-module Q. We get, in this paper, two sufficient conditions under which a right module is $c$-separative. A ring R is a hereditary ring provided that every ideal of R is projective. As an application, we prove that every projective right R-module over a hereditary ring is $c$-separative.

  • Let q be a power of 16. Every polynomial $P\in\mathbb{F}_q$[t] is a strict sum $P=A^2+A+B^3+C^3+D^3+E^3$. The values of A,B,C,D,E are effectively obtained from the coefficients of P. The proof uses the new result that every polynomial $Q\in\mathbb{F}_q$[t], satisfying the necessary condition that the constant term Q(0) has zero trace, has a strict and effective representation as: $Q=F^2+F+tG^2$. This improves for such q's and such Q's a result of Gallardo, Rahavandrainy, and Vaserstein that requires three polynomials F,G,H for the strict representation $Q=F^2$+F+GH. Observe that the latter representation may be considered as an analogue in characteristic 2 of the strict representation of a polynomial Q by three squares in odd characteristic.

  • Let V={(x,y,z):f=z$^{n}$ -npz+(n-1)q=0 for n .geq. 3} be a compled analytic subvariety of a polydisc in $C^{3}$ where p=p(x,y) and q=q(x,y) are holomorphic near (x,y)=(0,0) and f is an irreducible Weierstrass polynomial in z of multiplicity n. Suppose that V has an isolated singular point at the origin. Recall that the z-discriminant of f is D(f)=c(p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$) for some number c. Suppose that D(f) is square-free. then we prove that by Theorem 2.1 .mu.(p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$)=.mu.(f)-(n-1)+n(n-2)I(p,q)+1 where .mu.(f), .mu. p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$are the corresponding Milnor numbers of f, p$^{n}$ -q$^{n-1}$, respectively and I(p,q) is the intersection number of p and q at the origin. By one of applications suppose that W$_{t}$ ={(x,y,z):g$_{t}$ =z$^{n}$ -np$_{t}$ $^{n-1}$z+(n-1)q$_{t}$ $^{n-1}$=0} is a smooth family of complex analytic varieties near t=0 each of which has an isolated singularity at the origin, satisfying that the z-discriminant of g$_{t}$ , that is, D(g$_{t}$ ) is square-free. If .mu.(g$_{t}$ ) are constant near t=0, then we prove that the family of plane curves, D(g$_{t}$ ) are equisingular and also D(f$_{t}$ ) are equisingular near t=0 where f$_{t}$ =z$^{n}$ -np$_{t}$ z+(n-1)q$_{t}$ =0.}$ =0.

  • We report a female proband carrying a de novo 5q34-q35.2 deletion breakpoint, and review the unique skeletal phenotype and possible genotype related to this mutation. The patient presented with a persistent head tilt and limited head rotation. Non-contrast-enhanced three-dimensional computed tomography of the cervical spine revealed several malformations including a bone cleft in the right pars interarticularis, a bone defect in both C5 lamina and the transverse foramen at C2-C3, agenesis of the right articular process of C5, bony fusion of C4-C5, and subluxation of the craniocervical joints. Several deformities of the cervical spine seen in this patient have not been associated with the 5q deletion. A review of 5q-related mutations suggests that abnormalities associated with MSX2 gene might cause cervical spine abnormalities.

  • To elucidate ecophysiological factors affecting nutural distribution of evergreen broad-leabed trees in Danohad National Marine Park, water potential, relative water content and photosynthetic activities of 4 species, Cammellia japonica, Machilus thunbergii, Castanopsis cuspidata var.sieboldii and Quercus acuta, were potential began to decrease from 07:00h to its minimum value at 13:00h for C. cuspidata var. sieboldii (-14.3bar) and Q. acuta (-19.4bar) at 16:00 h for M. thunbergii(-17.0bar) and at 19:00 h for C. japonica (-14.5bar), and these showed similar trends to relative water content. Photosynthetic activities of 4 species began to increase from 7:00 h and reached maximum values before their minimum values of water potential occureed. Optimum temperature renges of photosynthetic activities was $18~20^{\circ}C$ for C. japonica - M. thunbergii and $14~16^{\circ}C$ for C. cuspidata var. sieboldii Quercus acuta.Q.acuta had the highest light saturation point of $0.4mM/m^2/s$ and C. japonica the lowest of $0.15mM/m^2/s$. Water potential of 4 species subjected to water stress, began to decrease after 1st day of drought and after 21th day of drought, those of C. japonica, M. thunbergii, C. cuspidata var. sieboldii and Q. acuta decreased to species began to decrease after 7th day of drought and after 21th day, those of M. thunbergii, C. cuspidata var. sieboldii and Q. acuta were dropped to about 50% and C. japonica 83.5%. Photosynthetic activity of 4 specie began to decline in the order of C. cuspidata var. sieboldii, Q.acuta, C. japonica and M. thunbergii after 10th day of drought. These results suggest that the segregated disributions of C. japonica - M. thunbergii on vally positions and C. cuspidata var. sieboldii - Q. acuta on slopes were associated with different responses of water status and photosyntheties to their environment.

  • This study compared forest vegetation in Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Park (Deogsan, Chilgabsan, and Daedunsan) from 2006 to 2016. The results of the analysis on the vegetation of the research sites by the phytosociological method showed that the Deogsan Provincial Park had Quercus mongolica community, Pinus densiflora community, Q. variabilis community, and Zelkova serrata community. Chilgabsan Provincial Park had Q. variabilis community, Q. mongolica community, P. densiflora community, and Carpinus laxiflora community. Daedunsan Provincial Park had Q. mongolica community, Q. variabilis community, Q. serrata community, C. tschonoskii community, C. laxiflora community, P. densiflora community, and Q. acutissima community. The importance value in each Provincial Parks was analyzed as follows. The importance value of Q. mongolica(72.35) was the highest in Deogsan Provincial Park, and followed by P. densiflora(70.25), Q. variabilis(53.11), Styrax japonicus(11.44), Prunus sargentii(11.17), and Fraxinus rhynchophylla(10.41). Q. variabilis(73.34) was the highest in Chilgabsan Provincial Park and followed by, P. densiflora(58.71), Q. mongolica(57.02), C. laxiflora(18.84), Q. serrata(13.48), and Prunus sargentii(13.31). The importance value of Q. mongolica(57.03) was the highest in Daedunsan Provincial Park and followed by Q. variabilis(31.98), Q. serrata(31.53), P. densiflora(16.80), C. tschonoskii(16.50), C. laxiflora(16.07), S. obassia(15.76), and Acer pseudosieboldianum(10.09). The results of DBH analysis of the major species having the high importance value showed the normal density distirbution of Q. mongolica, and Q. variabilis in Deogsan Provincial Park, so the dominance status of these species is likely to continue. Q. variabilis, Q. mongolica, and P. densiflora in Chilgabsan Provincial Park showed the normal density distribution showed the density of normal distribution, so the dominance status of these species is likely to continue. However, the dominance status of C. laxiflora, and Q. serrata is likely to be expanded in the future due to the high density of young individuals. Q. mongolica, and Q. variabilis in Daedunsan Provincial Park showed the density of reverse J-shaped curve, so the dominance status of these species is likely to continue, and C. tschonoskii, and P. densiflora had a formality distribution, suggesting continuous domination of these species over the other species for the time being. Additionally the dominance status of C. laxiflora, and Q. serrata is considered to be expanded in the future due to the high density level of young individuals.
