The coset diagrams are composed of fragments, and the fragments are further composed of circuits at a certain common point. A condition for the existence of a certain fragment ${\gamma}$ of a coset diagram in a coset diagram is a polynomial f in ${\mathbb{Z}}$[z]. In this paper, we answer the question: how many polynomials are obtained from the fragments, evolved by joining the circuits (n, n) and (m, m), where n < m, at all points.

We study free actions of finite groups on 3-dimensional nil-manifolds with the first homology ${\mathbb{Z}}^2{\oplus}{\mathbb{Z}}_p$. By the works of Bieberbach and Waldhausen, this classification problem is reduced to classifying all normal nilpotent subgroups of almost Bieberbach groups of finite index, up to affine conjugacy.

In this note, we study a generalization of a certain polynomial $z^n-{\sum\limits_{k=0}^{n-1}}a_kz^k$, where $\sum\limits_{k=0}^{n-1}a_k=1$, $a_k{\geq}0$ for each k, whose all zeros except for z=1 lie on the circle of radius 1/2 with center at the origin.

This paper proposes a new two-stage Z-source converter (TSZC). The purpose of the proposed system is to obtain the ac voltage with a maximum boost voltage for fuel cell applications as a renewable energy source. In order to provide a continuous current path, a switching strategy for the dc-ac ZSI and ac-ac ZSC of the proposed system was used. The operation principle, analysis and simulation results of 1.2 kW fuel cell stack were also presented.

DNA is a flexible molecule that adopts a variety of conformations. Left-handed helices have been demonstrated in synthetic DNA polymers (reviewed in Ref.1-2) and in segments of DNA restriction fragments (3) and recombinant plasmids (4-8). Other DNA conformations such as cruci forms and bent structures have also been demonstrated. Thus DNA micro heterogeneity has been demonstrated in a variety of systems (9-11). The role of the static and dynamic structures and properties of DNA in gene expression has been reviewed(1,12).

In this paper we prove that tile property of product irreducible characters is, if $\Phi$$\in$$\textit{Irr(H)}$ and $\Theta$$\in$$\textit{Irr(K)}$ are faithful, then $\Phi$$\times\theta$ is faithful if and only if │$\textit{Z(H)}$│ and │$\textit{Z(K)}$│ are relative primes where G=$\textit{H}\times\textit{K}$.

We show that if the Stone-Cech compactification of $\textit{AX}$ and the minimal basically disconnected cove. of $\beta$Χ we homeomorphic and every real $\sigma$$Z(X)^#$-ultrafilter on X has the countable intersection property, then there is a covering map from $\nu$(ΛΧ) to $\nu$Χ and every real $\sigma$$Z(X)^#$-ultrafilter on Χ has the countable intersection property if and only if there is a homeomorphism from the Hewitt realcompactification of ΛΧ to the minimal basically disconnected space of $\nu$Χ.

Direct photoisomerizations of benzalpyrrolinones yield the corresponding E-isomers via a singlet state, since no effect of oxygen on the reaction rates was observed. The Z-oxodipyrromethene was photoisomerized to the E-isomer in a degassed system. In an aerobic system the oxodipyrromethene 3 was photoisomerized at the early stage of the reaction and photooxygenated slowly at latter stage of the reaction. For bilirubin, other (possibly Z ${\to}$ E) than self-sensitizing $^1O_2$ reaction should have occurred because of the lack of a solvent effect on the self-sensitized photooxidation reaction rate at the early stage.

Optically active (R,Z)-(-)-5-tetradecen-4-olide, the pheromone of Popillia japonica Newman was synthesized from (R)-2,3-O-isopropylideneglyceraldehyde as starting material. The biological activity test of the synthetic pheromone as attractant for the male Japanese beetle was tested in Korea.
