  • This study investigates the fatigue lift estimation of butt weld specimen for the railway vehicle by examining butt weld bead profiles. The butt weld beads, which are welded by semi-robot method, have non-uniform bead profiles described by $\theta$, p and h. The stress concentration factors, K$\_$t/, are changed by different $\theta$, p and h from 1.395 to 2.863. Hence, the sensitivity of K$\_$k/ is changed by each $\theta$, p and h. As $\theta$ becomes lower and p and h become higher, K$\_$t/ increases. The fatigue life can be estimated very closely for the AAY specimens without residual stress using only butt weld bead profiles. But, for the AAN specimens with residual stress, the fatigue life must be estimated by considering both the weld bead profiles and the residual stress data.

  • Since the modular curve $X(4)=\Gamma(4)/{\mathfrak{}}^*$ has genus 0, we have a field isomorphism K(X(4)){\approx}\mathcal{C}(j_{4})$ where $j_{4}(z)={\theta}_{3}(\frac{z}{2})/{\theta}_{4}(\frac{z}{2})$ is a quotient of Jacobi theta series ([9]). We derive recursion formulas for the Fourier coefficients of $j_4$ and $N(j_{4})$ (=the normalized generator), respectively. And we apply these modular functions to Thompson series and the construction of class fields.

  • Hahn difference operator $D_{q,{\omega}}$ which is defined by $$D_{q,{\omega}}g(t)=\{{\frac{g(gt+{\omega})-g(t)}{t(g-1)+{\omega}}},{\hfill{20}}\text{if }t{\neq}{\theta}:={\frac{\omega}{1-q}},\\g^{\prime}({\theta}),{\hfill{83}}\text{if }t={\theta}$$ received a lot of interest from many researchers due to its applications in constructing families of orthogonal polynomials and in some approximation problems. In this paper, we investigate sufficient conditions for stability of the abstract linear Hahn difference equations of the form $$D_{q,{\omega}}x(t)=A(t)x(t)+f(t),\;t{\in}I$$, and $$D^2{q,{\omega}}x(t)+A(t)D_{q,{\omega}}x(t)+R(t)x(t)=f(t),\;t{\in}I$$, where $A,R:I{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{X}}$, and $f:I{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{X}}$. Here ${\mathbb{X}}$ is a Banach algebra with a unit element e and I is an interval of ${\mathbb{R}}$ containing ${\theta}$.

  • We present efficient algorithms for transforming between binary images and quadtrees on the LABOR. For a binary image of size n ${\times}$ n, both algorithms run in $\theta$(1) time using n2 processors. These algorithms are optimal in the sense that the product of time and number of processors is asymptotically the same as the optimal sequential time which is $\theta$(n2).

  • This paper presents a design of the reticle stage for lithography using VCM(Voice Coil Motor) and kinematic analysis. The stage has three axes for X,Y,${\theta}_z$, those actuated by three VCM's individually. The reticle stage has cross coupled relations between X,Y,${\theta}_z$ axes, and the closed solution of the forward/inverse kinematics were solved to get an accurate reference position. The reticle stage for lithography was designed for reaching both high accuracy and long stroke, which was $0.1{\mu}m$ (X,Y)/ $1{\mu}rad({\theta}_z)$ accuracies and relatively long strokes about 2mm (X,Y) and 2 degrees(${\theta}_z$). Also this research presents a rotational compensation algorithm for the precision gap sensor for the stage. Simulation results show the overall performance of the whole algorithm and the improvement quantity of the rotational compensation algorithm.

  • The isotherms of CO adsorption on the Cu/ZnO sample treated with with hydrogen and methanol are investigated. The heats of adsorption of CO on the Cu/ZnO treated with hydrogen at 723K for 3 h are in the range from 25.7 kJ/mol at $\theta=0.8$ to 59.8 at $\theta=0.1$, while those on the Cu/ZnO sample treated with methanol at 523 K for 3 h are in the range 30.3 kJ/mol at $\theta=0.8$ to 99.8kJ/mol at $\theta=0.1.$ The Cu/ZnO samples treated with hydrogen do. The heats of adsorption at q=0.1 increase with the methanol treatment time within 30 min and leveled off afterwards.

  • The objectives of this paper are to measure the heat transfer and pressure drop of the plate heat exchangers for absorption system applications. Three types of plate heat exchangers with different chevron angles are tested in the present experiment. Heat transfer and pressure drop performance of plate heat exchangers are measured in various operating conditions, and compared each other. The results show that the heat transfer rate of high theta ($120^{\circ}$) and mixed theta plate heat exchanger increases about 118% and 98% at the solution flow rate 350 kg/h compared to that of low theta ($60^{\circ}$), respectively. The effectiveness of high theta was evaluated about $0.70{\sim}0.83$ in this experimental range.

  • In this paper, we consider the problem of testing for a change of the parameter function ${\theta}(t)$ that may have a discontinuity at some unknown point ${\tau}$. We introduce a varying-h moving estimate to test the null hypothesis that ${\theta}(t)$ is continuous against the alternative that ${\theta}({\tau}-){\neq}{\theta}({\tau}+)$. Simulation results are provided for illustration.

  • The global consumption of aspheric surfaces will expand rapidly on the Electronics and Optical Components, Information and Communications, Aerospace and Defense, and Medical optics markets etc. We must research on market, technology forecast and analysis of aspheric surfaces that is a principle step of ultra precision machine technology with a base one of optical elements. Especially, F-theta lens is one of the important parts in LSU(Laser scanning unit) because it affects on the optical performance of LSU dominantly. The core is most of important to produce plastic F-theta lens by plastic injection molding method, which is necessary to get the ultra-precision aspheric and non-axisymmetric machine processing technology.
