EVA-OH의 공간전하 거동 및 전기전도 특성 (Space Charge Behaviors and Electrical Conduction Characteristics of EVA-OH)

  • EVA-OH (Ethylene-vinyl acetate-vinyl alchol terpolymers) were prepared by using the transesterification reaction between ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer and alchol. Structural and thermal analyses were accomplished with FTIR and DSC. Space charge behaviors of EVA-OH were investigated using PEA method. Electrical conduction currents were also measured. As the increase of conversion rate, melting point increased and we could observe changes in space charge distributions and the increase of electrical conduction currents of EVA-OH.

  • The MeOH extract of the the leaves of Salix hallaisanensis (Salicaceae) was partitioned successively with $CHCl_3$, 20% MeOH, 40% MeOH and 60% MeOH solution. From the fractions obtained, 9 compounds were isolated, $diosmetin-7-O-{\beta}-d-glucoside$ (I), $diosmetin-7-O-{\beta}-D-glucosyl-(1{\rightarrow)6)-{\beta}-d-glucoside$ (II), $diosmetin-7-O-{\beta}-d-xylosyl-(1{\rightarrow}6)-{\beta}-D-glucoside$ (III), $quercetin-3-O-{\beta}-d-galactoside$ (hyperoside) (IV), $quercetin-3-O-{\alpha}-l-rhamnosyl-(1{\rightarrow}6)-{\beta}-D-glucoside(rutin)$ (V), luteolin (VI), $luteolin-7-O-{\beta}-d-glucoside$ (VII), $kaempferol-3-O-{\alpha}-l-rhamnosyl-(1{\rightarrow}6)-{\beta}-D-glucoside$ (VIII), and (+)-catechin (IX).

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of water extract from Artemisiae Argi Folium Fermented with Lactobacillus pentosus (AFL) on viability of human hepatocyte HepG2 cells treated with hepatotoxicants such as EtOH, gallic acid, nicotine, acetaminophen, acetaldehyde, and lipopolysaccharide. AFL (0~400 ug/mL) was treated with EtOH, gallic acid, nicotine, acetaminophen, acetaldehyde, and lipopolysaccharide. And the viability of HepG2 cells was measured by MTT assay. AFL at the high concentration such as 400 ug/mL showed to increase significantly viabilities of HepG2 cells compared with hepatotoxicants (EtOH, gallic acid, nicotine, acetaminophen, and lipopolysaccharide) only (p<0.05). AFL could be supposed to have the hepatoprotective effect against hepatotoxicants such as gallic acid, EtOH, nicotine, acetaminophen, and lipopolysaccharide at the high concentration.

  • Aluminum hydroxides were synthesized by a simple electrolytic reaction of aluminum plates. The aluminum hydroxide, boehmite (AlO(OH)), was predominantly formed in the application of electrical potential at and above 30V, while the mixture of bayerite ($Al(OH)_3$) and boehmite (AlO(OH)) phases were formed below 20V. The boehmite has a clear fibrous structure controlled on nanometer scale. On the contrary, the bayerite consists of the typical hourglass or semi-hourglass shaped coarse crystals as a result of aggregation of various crystals stacked together. The specific surface area of the boehmite nanofiber was markedly high, approaching at about $302\;m^2/g$.

  • 플라즈마 전해 산화(Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation)는 일반 애노다이징 보다 더 높은 전류 혹은 전압을 금속(Al, Ti, Mg) 표면에 인가하여 산화피막을 전기화학적으로 형성시키는 금속표면처리 방법 중의 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 phosphate 수용액에서 정전류를 인가하여 NaOH의 농도에 따라 PEO(Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation) 피막 형성을 전압-시간 그래프 및 형성된 표면피막의 구조를 관찰하여 연구하였다. 실험에는 8 g/L의 sodium phosphate이 사용되었으며, 5 g/L ~ 9 g/L의 NaOH를 사용하였다. NaOH의 농도 상관없이 일부 영역에서만 반복적으로 아크가 발생하는 로컬 버닝 현상 없이 미세한 아크가 시표 표면 전체에 발생하였고, NaOH의 농도가 증가할수록 형성된 PEO 피막의 두께는 감소하고, 평균 표면 거칠기는 증가하는 경향을 보인다. 형성된 피막의 구조를 HR-SEM, EDX 등을 이용하여 관찰하였다.

Gallium(III) Ion Hydrolysis under Physiological Conditions

  • The hydrolysis of gallium(III) has been studied using potentiometric techniques under physiological conditions of temperature 37 C and ionic strength 0.15 moldm-3 NaCl and at different metal ion concentrations. Changes in pH were monitored with a glass electrode calibrated daily in hydrogen ions concentrations. The titration data within the pH range of 2.5-9.99 were analyzed to determine stability constants of hydroxide species using the SUPERQUAD program. Several different species were considered during the calculation procedure and the following hydroxides have been characterized: Ga(OH)3, Ga(OH)4- Ga3(OH)112-, Ga4(OH)11+ and Ga6(OH)153+. Speciation calculations based on the determined constants were then used to simulate the species distribution.

  • 대기 중에서 HOx(OH, H $O_2$) 라디칼은 가장 중요한 산화제로서 광화학 반응의 핵심적 역할을 한다. 이러한 OH 라디칼의 정확한 농도를 측정하기 위한 여러 가지 시도가 있었으나, 그 존재량이 적고 수명이 짧기 때문에 측정에 많은 어려움이 있다. 간접적인 측정에 근거한 모델링과 계산적인 이론 값에 의하면 대류권에서의 전 지구적 평균 OH 라디칼의 농도는 대략 $10^{6}$molecules $cm^{-3}$이고, H $O_2$ 라디칼의 농도는 $10^{8}$molecules $cm^{-3}$정도로 추정된다.   • The effects of alternating voltage, $Cl^-$ ion and pH on the corrosion of Zn and Zn-Fe alloys have been investigated by using electrochemical techniques in $Ca(OH)_2$ solutions. The passive film $Zn(OH)_2$ was initially formed on the Zn surface and gradually transformed to $Ca(Zn(OH)_3)_2{\cdot}2H_2O$, which was identified with the X-ray diffraction method, SEM micrograph and EPMA. The passivity current increased with increasing alternating voltage and decrease AC frequency. ${\xi}$ phase in Zn-Fe alloys reduced the effects of AC. The effect of $Cl^-$ ion on the passivity current of Zn was similar to the AC effect, resulting in pits on Zn. It was also found that the passive region of Zn decreased rapidly below pH 10.3 of the solution.
