  • We propose an integer-valued MA(q) process with Poisson disturbance. Its various properties are discussed such as the joint distribution, time reversibility and regression. We derive the asymptotic distribution of autocovariance function and estimators of the parameters in the suggested model. We also consider the relationship between INMA(q) and M/D/.infty. processes.

  • With growing applications of wireless video streaming, an efficient video traffic model featuring modern high-compression techniques is more desirable than ever, because the wireless channel bandwidths are ever limited and time-varying. We propose a modeling and analysis method for video traffic by a class of stochastic processes, which we call '$GEO^Y/G/{\infty}$ input processes'. We model video traffic by $GEO^Y/G/{\infty}$ input process with gamma-distributed batch sizes Y and Weibull-like autocorrelation function. Using four real-encoded, full-length video traces including action movies, a drama, and an animation, we evaluate our modeling performance against existing model, transformed-M/G/${\infty}$ input process, which is one of most recently proposed video modeling methods in the literature. Our proposed $GEO^Y/G/{\infty}$ model is observed to consistently provide conservative performance predictions, in terms of packet loss ratio, within acceptable error at various traffic loads of interest in practical multimedia streaming systems, while the existing transformed-M/G/${\infty}$ fails. For real-time implementation of our model, we analyze G/D/1/K queueing systems with $GEO^Y/G/{\infty}$ input process to upper estimate the packet loss probabilities.

  • Let $S(R^d)$ be the Schwartz space of infinitely differentiable functions on $R^d$ which vanish at $\infty$ and $S'(R^d)$ be its dual space. The theory of stochastic differential equations(SDEs) governing processes that takes values in the dual of countably Hilbertian nuclear space such as $S'(R^d)$ studied by many authors(e.g [M],[KM]). Let M be a martingale measure defined by Walsh[W], then M can be considered as a $S'(R^d)$-valued process in a certain condition i.e. M has a version of $S'(R^d)$-valued martingale process. • Nitrogen implantation process has been applied for improvement of wear resistance of Z Zircaloy-4 fuel cladding materials. Nitrogen was implanted at 120 ke V to a total do range of 1xHP ions/cm2 to 8xlO17 ions/cm2 at various temperatures of 298"C to 676"C. The m microstructure changes by nitrogen implantation were analyzed by using TEM, XRD 뻐d A AES, cmd then wear behavior was evaluated by ball-on-disc wear testings at various loads a and sliding velocity under unlubricated condition. Nitrogen implantation produced ZrNx nitride above 4.37x1017 ions!cm2 as well as heavy d dislocations, which enhanced microhardness of the implanted surface of up to 900 Hk from 2 200 Hk of unimplanted substrate. Hardness was also found to be increased with increasing i implantation temperature and enhanced up to OOOHk at 620 "C. the wear resistance was g greatly improved with increasing total ion do않 as well as implantation temperature. The effective enhancement of wear resistance at high dose and tem야ratures is believed d due to significant hardening associated with high degree of precipitation of Zr nitrides and g generation of prismatic dislocation I$\infty$ps.infty$ps.

  • Adsorption of an oil-proof agent (OPA)onto cellulose fibers during the papermaking process was investigated using UV-Vis spectrophotometry by measuring the OPA concentration decrease in the solution. From the calibration curve, the spectrum were converted to chemical concentrations in solution, from which the amount adsorbed onto the fiber surface could be determined. Thus, it was possible to determine the total amount adsorbed onto the fibers and in solution. Using this approach, we studied the adsorption behavior of the OPA onto the fiber surface and derived its, ${\Gamma}^s_t={\Gamma}^s_{\infty}(1-e^{-k_{\alpha}t})$. The values of the parameters kaand ${\Gamma}^s_{\infty}$ were determined using a mathematic model based on a mass transfer equation. Ultimately, a complete was derived: $Q={\alpha}{\cdot}\sum\limits_{i-1}^m{\pi}d_il_i{\cdot}M_A{\cdot}(1-e^{-k_{\alpha}t})/A_N$.
