저방사화 철강재 (JLF-1)의 파괴인성에 미치는 시험편 크기의 영향 (Effect of specimen size on fracture toughness of reduced activation ferritic steel (JLF-l))

  • Reduced activation ferritic (JLF-1) steel is leading candidates for blanket/first-wall structures of the D-T fusion reactor. In fusion application, structural materials will suffer effects of repeated changes of temperature. Therefore, the data base of tensile strength and fracture toughness at operated temperature $400^{\circ}C$ are very important. Fracture toughness ($J_{IC}$) and tensile tests were carried out at room temperature and elevated temperature ($400^{\circ}C$). Fracture toughness tests were performed with two type size to investigate the relationship between the constraint effect of a size and the fracture toughness resistance curve. As the results, the tensile strength and the fracture toughness values of the JLF-1 steel are slightly decreased with increasing temperature. The fracture resistance curve increased with increasing plane size and decreased with increasing thickness. The fracture toughness values of JLF-1 steel at room temperature and at $400^{\circ}C$ shows an excellent fracture toughness ($J_{IC}$) of about $530kJ/m^2\;and\;340kJ/m^2$, respectively.

저분자량 키토산 올리고당의 항종양성 (Antineoplastic Effect of Low Molecular Weight Chitooligosaccharide on Various Tumor Cell Lines)

  • 저분자량 키토산 올리고당의 세포 독성을 실험하였다. 저분자량 키토산 올리고당은 정상세포주인 Vero E6(Africa green monkey kidney cell)에 대한 세포 독성을 거의 나타내지 않았다. 정상세포주에 대한 저분자량 키토산 올리고당의 $IC_{50}$값은 $1,060.28{\mu}g/m{\ell}$이었다. 저분자량 키토산 올리고당은 폐암 세포주인 A549, 방광암 세포주인 J82, 대장암 세포주인 SNU-C4, 위암 세포주인 SNU-1, 유방암 세포주인 ZR75-1 등과 같은 사람의 종양세포주에 대한 in vitro 항종양성을 나타내었다. 종양세포주에 대한 저분자량 키토산 올리고당의 $IC_{50}$값은 A549, J82, SNU-C4, SNU-1, ZR75-1 세포주의 경우에 각각 $477.42{\mu}/m{\ell}$, $480.40{\mu}g/m{\ell}$, $436.84{\mu}g/m{\ell}$, $373.55{\mu}g/m{\ell}$, and $539.95{\mu}/m{\ell}$이었다.

  • 키토산 가수분해물의 세포 독성 및 항종양성 실험에서 키토산 가수분해물은 정상세포주인 Vero E6(Africa green monkey kidney cell)에 대한 세포 독성을 거의 나타내지 않았다. 정상세포주에 대한 키토산 가수분해물의 $IC_{50}$값은 1,107.95 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$이었다. 키토산 가수분해물은 폐암 세포주인 A549, 방광암 세포주인 J82, 대장암 세포주인 SNU-C4, 위암 세포주인 SNU-1, 유방암 세포주인 ZR75-1 등과 같은 사람의 종양세포주에 대한 in vitro 항종양성을 나타내었다. 종양세포주에 대한 키토산 가수분해물의 $IC_{50}$값은 A549, J82, SNU-C4, SNU-1, ZR75-1 세포주의 경우에 각각 421.06 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$, 417.99 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$, 445.54 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$, 380.65 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$, and 460.49 ${\mu}g/m{\ell}$이었다.

  • We present a power-efficient driving scheme that consists of piezoelectric actuator and driver IC for AF (Auto-Focus) on ISM (Image Sensor Module). The piezoelectric actuator is more power-efficient than conventional voice coil motor actuator. And high power-efficiency driver IC is designed. So the proposed driving scheme using designed piezoelectric actuator and driver IC is more close to recent trend of green IT. The diver IC should guarantee fast and accurate performance. So, the optimum driving method and high accurate frequency synthesizer are proposed. The die area of designed driver IC is $2.0{\times}1.6mm^2$ and power consumption is 2.8mW.

  • In this paper, new inspection method is proposed for the surfaces of lead frame and IC's. Optimal optical system and the accurate algorithm for the surface inspection are needed in machine vision area. The proposed optical system is composed of rectangular oblique light illumination and coaxial light illumination for the higher contrast and the results shows the better performances through experiments. The markings of IC surface are inspected using the accurate proposed method using the partitioned correlation coefficient, and the result shows reduction of under kill ratio compared to the previous method.

  • We present JHK-band near-infrared photometry of the star clusters in the dwarf irregular galaxy IC 5152. After excluding possible foreground stars, a number of candidate star clusters are identified in the near-infrared images of IC 5152, which include young populations. Especially, five young star clusters are identified in the(J-H, H-K) two color diagram and the total extinction values toward these clusters are estimated to be $A_v=2-6$ from the comparison with the theoretical values given by the Leitherer et al.(1999)'s theoretical star cluster model.

균열재(龜裂材)의 불안정연성파괴(不安定延性破壞)에 대한 J 적분(J積分) 평가(評價)를 위한 탄소성해석(彈塑性解析) (Elasto-Plastic Analysis for J-integral Evaluation of Unstable Fracture in Cracked Ductile Materials)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 소규모강복범위(小規模降伏範圍)를 벗어나는 대규모강복조건하(大規模降伏條件下)에서 구조안정성(構造安定性)에 관(關)한 중요(重要)한 문제(問題)인 불안정연성파괴(不安定延性破壞)를 평가(評價)할 수 있는 파괴역학인자(破壞力學因子)로서의 J 적분(積分)을 수치해(數値解)로서 구하는데 그 목적(目的)을 두었다. 이를 위해 균열재(龜裂材)의 균열선단요소(龜裂先端要素)로 8절점등방특이요소(節點等方特異要素)를 사용(使用)하고, 균열발생(發生)은 파괴인성(破壞靭性) $J_{IC}$를 초과할 때 일어나도록 하였으며, 그리고 균열성장(成長)의 취급(取級)은 균열개구각(龜裂開口角)을 이용(利用)했다. 본(本) 연구(硏究)에 의해 해석(解析)된 J 적분치(積分値)를 사용(使用)하여 균열재의 균열발생 과 안정성장(安定成長), 불안정(不安定) 발생점(發生點)을 찾은 결과(結果) 다른 연구결과(硏究結果)와 잘 일치(一致)하고 있어 탄소성(彈塑性)을 고려(考慮)한 J 적분치(積分値)가 균열의 안정성장(安定成長) 및 불안정연성파괴(不安定延性破壞) 문제(問題)를 다루는 파괴역학인자(破壞力學因子)로서 직접(直接) 이용(利用)될 수 있음을 보였다.

Neuroprotective effects of antioxidant constituents isolated from Opuntia ficus-indica var. saboten Makino

  • Opuntia ficus-indicavar. saboten Makino (Cactaceae) is a tropical or subtropical plant that has been widely used as folk medicine for the treatment of diabetes, asthma, burn, edema and gastritis. The purposes of the present study were to identify antioxidant constituents from fruits and stems of the plant cultivated in Cheju island, Korea, and examine their in vitro neuroprotective activities. Using a chromatographic fractionation method, ten chemical constituents were isolated from ethyl acetate extracts. By means of chemical and spectroscopic methods, those were identified as eight flavonoids such as kaempherol (a), quercetin (b), kaempferol 3-methyl ether (c), quercetin 3-methyl ether (d), narcissin (e), dihydrokaernpferol (f), dihydroquercetin (g) and erioclictyol (h), and two terpenoids such as 3-oxo-${\alpha}$-ionol-${\beta}$-d-glucopyranoside (i) and roseoside (j). Among the isolated compounds, comrounds c~e and h~j were those reported for the first titre from the plant. Compounds b, d and g showed DPPH free radical scavenging activities with IC$\sub$50/ values of 28, 19 and 31, ${\mu}$M respectively. Compounds d and g also inhibited iron-dependent lipid peroxidation with IC$\sub$50/ values of 2.4 and 3.5 ${\mu}$M. In a primary rat cortical neuronal cell culture system, compounds b, d and g inhibited xanthine/xanthine oxidase-induced (IC$\sub$50/ values of 18.2, 2.1 and 54.6 ${\mu}$M) and H$_2$O$_2$-induced (IC$\sub$50/ values of 13.6, 1.9 and 25.7 ${\mu}$M) cytotoxicities. In addition, compounds d and g inhibited NMDA-induced excitotoxicity by 21 and 33%, and only compound d inhibited growth factor withdrawal-induced apoptosis by 31% at a tested concentration of 3 ${\mu}$M. The results suggest that the antioxidant constituents with in vitroneuroprotective activities may serve as lead chemicals for the development of neuroprotective agent.

3차원 소자 적층을 위한 BOE 습식 식각에 따른 Cu-Cu 패턴 접합 특성 평가 (Effect of BOE Wet Etching on Interfacial Characteristics of Cu-Cu Pattern Direct Bonds for 3D-IC Integrations)

  • Three-dimensional integrated circuit (3D IC) technology has become increasingly important due to the demand for high system performance and functionality. We have evaluated the effect of Buffered oxide etch (BOE) on the interfacial bonding strength of Cu-Cu pattern direct bonding. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis of Cu surface revealed that Cu surface oxide layer was partially removed by BOE 2min. Two 8-inch Cu pattern wafers were bonded at $400^{\circ}C$ via the thermo-compression method. The interfacial adhesion energy of Cu-Cu bonding was quantitatively measured by the four-point bending method. After BOE 2min wet etching, the measured interfacial adhesion energies of pattern density for 0.06, 0.09, and 0.23 were $4.52J/m^2$, $5.06J/m^2$ and $3.42J/m^2$, respectively, which were lower than $5J/m^2$. Therefore, the effective removal of Cu surface oxide is critical to have reliable bonding quality of Cu pattern direct bonds.
