  • the vector, pGUR19, for Rhizobium gene manipulation, was constructed by combining the replication and mobilization function of indigenous multicopy plasmid from Acacia(Robinia pseudoacacia L.) Rhizobia sp86 with E. coli cloning vehicle, pBR322. The vector could be efficiently mobilized by RP4 tra function incorporated into chromosome of E. coli named SM10 and efficiently transferred to various gram negative hosts including Rhizobium and Afrobacterium by transformation. Mobilization frequency of the constructed vector was ranged from $1.2\times 10^{-2}$ (E.coli HB 101) to $4.6\times 10^{-4}$ (A. tumefaciens 15955) and transformation frequency was ranged from $5.4\times 10^{-7}$(E. coli HB101) to $1.2\times 10^{-10}$ (A. tumefaciens 15955). The vector, pGUR19, was stably replicated and maintained in a variety of Rhizobium and Agrobacterium.

  • Vehicle occupant exposure to volatile organic compounds (VOCs) has been a subject of concern In recent years because of higher levels of VOCs Inside vehicles as compared to the surrounding ambient atmosphere and because of the toxicity of VOCs. The effectiveness of two commercial ACDs for the removal of selected VOCs in the interior of automobiles was evaluated on 115 commutes throegh urban (Taegu) commutes by two cars and 9 idles. The idling and commuting studios conducted under four different driving conditions showed that the ho commercial ACDs were not effective for the removal of VOCs in the interior of vehicles. The concentrations of all target VOCs except benzene were significantly higher (p<0.05) in the interior of older car than of newer cu. The mean levels of benzene and toluene measured in thins study were well excess of earlier other studios In the United States, besides Los Angeles with which was comparable. It was reported that the in-vehicle exposure to benzene and corresponding upper-bound cancel risk were about 8 times higher than those for outdoor environment, while they were about half of those from Indoor environment.

  • This study aims at the structural analysis with fatigue according to the configuration of railway vehicle wheel. Maximum equivalent stress or deformation is shown at the lower face in contact with wheel and rail. As model B has the maximum stress or deformation which becomes lower than model A, model B is shown to have more durability than model A. Among the cases of nonuniform fatigue loads, 'SAE bracket history' with the severest change of load becomes most unstable but 'Sample history' becomes most stable. In case of 'Sample history' with the average stress of 0 to $-10^{11}$ Pa and the amplitude stress of 0 to $10^{10}$ Pa, the possibility of maximum damage becomes 3%. This stress state can be shown with 6 times more than the damage possibility of 'SAE Bracket history' or 'SAE transmission'. The structural result of this study can be effectively utilized with the design of railway vehicle wheel by prevention and durability against its damage.

This increase or decrease of the harmful exhaust gas discharged from automobile substantially inconvenience a significant impact on the active side of the car engine temperature and exhaust gas reducing device receives a large impact on the atmospheric temperature is regulation to be different. However, domestic vehicle emissions test temperature of $20{\sim}30^{\circ}C$ is it does not reflect this situation the actual test temperature to accurately measure the exhaust gas volume of the vehicle is difficult. In this study, domestic automobile exhaust gas test conditions of a test temperature $20{\sim}30^{\circ}C$ various temperatures, including (35, 25, 0, -7, -15, $-25^{\circ}C$) under the two vehicles (2.0L MPI, 2.4 L GDI) as was discussed with respect to the exhaust gas characteristics of the vehicle according to the ambient temperature gas. As a result, domestic emissions test temperature of $25^{\circ}C$ than average conditions were temperature decreases greenhouse gas emissions and increase overall increased by up to 15 times higher. Air temperature and the engine exhaust gas inconvenience a direct effect on the activation temperature required in the reduction unit is determined to be an increase of emissions and greenhouse gases, and also an increase in the variety of lubricants based lubricating and viscosity reduction, such as the engine oil due to the low temperature of these result It is considered that shows the.

A Study on the Source Profile Development for Diesel and Gasoline-Powered Vehicles (디젤 및 가솔린자동차 배출원의 구성물질 성분비 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the $PM_{2.5}$ source profiles for diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles, which contained mass abundances in terms of mass fraction of $PM_{2.5}$ of chemical species. Seven diesel-powered vehicles and nine gasoline-powered vehicles were sampled from a chassis dynamometer exhaust dilution system. The species measured were water-soluble ions, elements, elemental carbon (EC), and organic carbon (OC). From this study, the large abundances of EC (54.5%), OC (26.0%), ${SO_4}^{2-}$ (1.5%), ${NO_3}^-$ (0.8%), and S (0.6%) were observed from the diesel-powered vehicle exhaust showing that carbons were dominant species. The gasoline-powered vehicle exhaust emitted large abundances of OC (38.3%), EC (4.2%), ${SO_4}^{2-}$ (3.6%), ${NH_4}^+$ (3.5%), and ${NO_3}^-$ (3.0%). The abundances of ${SO_4}^{2-}$, ${NH_4}^+$, and ${NO_3}^-$ from gasoline vehicle were greater than those of diesel vehicle. The emissions of P, S, Ca, Fe, and Zn among trace elements for the gasoline vehicle were greater than 1% of the $PM_{2.5}$ mass unlike those for the diesel vehicle. Particularly, the fraction of Zn was five times higher from the gasoline vehicle than that from the diesel vehicle. The source profiles developed in this work were intensively examined by applying chemical mass balance model.

Improvement of Communication Reliability of Small UAV by a Tapered Stacked Antenna

  • This letter proposes a tapered stacked microstrip antenna for application in small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which has advantages in mountainous terrains. With its tapered structure and increased bandwidth designed to operate at the resonance frequency of 2.4 GHz, the proposed antenna improves directivity, accuracy, and precision of small UAVs. The test flight results show the proposed tapered antenna has a three times higher impedance capability of 350 MHz based on VSWR<2. The transmission pattern is also more reliable than that of previous antenna designs.

  • A technology of full time four wheel drive(4WD) vehicle has been improved greatly, and the market share of full time 4WD has been extended steadily in recent days. The transfer case is an essential element in the 4WD automobile. In this paper, the details of electronically controlled transfer case is described. In order to achieve easy shifting, the shifting, the developed system automate the conversion of "$4\times2\longleftrightarrow4\times4(H)\longleftrightarrow4\times4(L)$". Furthmore, this system employs an chain drive type instead of gear drive type for drive type and synchromesh type instead of constant-mesh type for gear mesh type. Therefore, the developed transfer case is accomplished light-weight, low noise, and compact.d compact.

  • Particulate matters (PM) that is generated by most diesel engine is regulated by the mass concentration measured by the conventional method it had been. Recently, Europe PMP (Particle Measurement Program) decided to start the regulation of vehicle's nano-sized particle number (PN) from the year of 2011 because of nano-particle's higher degree of harm to the human body. So firstly, the standard level of PN emission is introduced in the Euro 5/6 emissions regulation with a limit of $6{\times}10^{11}$ per km for light duty vehicle. Also KPMP(Korea Particle Measurement Program) was organized to copy quickly international technical trend. In this paper, it was investigated the nano-sized PN measurement characteristics for different particle generators between spray type and soot type. And the difference ratio between particle generators, the characteristic of PN concentration, counting efficiency and linearity was analyzed. Then, we make conclusions as followed. When particle diameter is increased, counting efficiency of two generators is decreased. Also Secondary calibration method is more higher 3% than Primary calibration method. Finally, SOF which is included in soot particles is not totally removed so it have great influence on test result of counting efficiency and linearity.

  • Recently, usage of UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) has increased in agricultural part. This study was conducted to classify onion and garlic using supervised classification of a fixed-wing UAV (Model : Ebee) images for evaluation of possibility about estimation of onion and garlic cultivation area using UAV images. Aerial images were obtained 11~12 times from study sites in Changryeng-gun and Hapcheon-gun during farming season from 2015 to 2016. The result for accuracy in onion and garlic image classification by R-G-B and R-G-NIR images showed highest Kappa coefficients for the maximum likelihood method. The result for accuracy in onion and garlic classification showed high Kappa coefficients of 0.75~0.97 from DOY 105 to DOY 141, implying that UAV images could be used to estimate onion and garlic cultivation area.

  • Since 2009 The Korean National Police Agency has been pushed "permissive left-turn" forward in order to making progress in Korean traffic operations system. Preceding researches manuals and guidelines present 6 standards(# of accidents # of lanes, pedestrian volume sight # of permissive left-turn lanes vehicle volume) as installation permissive left-turn. But in practical affairs it is most important that secure enough Gap-time between permissive left-turn vehicle and opposite through lane vehicle to make permissive left-turn vehicle move safer and more efficiently. This study suggests applying gap acceptance theory in microscopic model to permissive left-turn installation standards. Analysis methods of this study are field data survey statistical analysis and microscopic simulation analysis. This study collected field data by using AVI recording and measured permissive left-turn vehicle intersection passing time(T1) and against the opposite through lane vehicle Gap-time(T2). And statistical analysis performed about two values that measured before to predict the functionality between T1 and T2. These studies to overcome the limit of sample size carried out a microscopic simulation(VISSIM) plan and collect more samples to input statistical analysis.
