  • 1. Background and Purpose ${\ulcorner}$DongyiSooseBowon${\lrcorner}$ is the book that was mixed ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$KyungjaBon${\lrcorner}$ which was written by DongMu. But hardly any clause or text of the GaboBon excepting ${\ulcorner}$DongyiSooseBowon${\lrcorner}$ has been described. At the year of 2000, the society of sasang constitutional medicine acqired ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSooseBowon GaboGubon${\lrcorner}$ which is seen as a written copy of ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$. According to Lee Sung-Su who is the great-grandson of DongMu's older brother, ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSooseBowon GaboGubon${\lrcorner}$ was worked by Lee Jin-Yoon who is the grandson of DongMu's older brother, and it was copied by Han Min-Gab and now is owned by Lee Sung-Su who is son of Lee Jin- Yoon. 2. Methods This paper was written in order to understand of ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSooseBowon GaboGubon${\lrcorner}$ through the study to focus on the bibliographical character. 3. Result and Conclusion 1) It is reasonable that ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSooseBowon GaboGubon${\lrcorner}$ had copied to the original ${\ulcorner}$DongyiSoose Bowon GaboGubon${\lrcorner}$ which was written by DongMu. 2) We can find the character of ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSooseBowon GaboGubon${\lrcorner}$ as follows. (1) It has the table of contents, the definition of the number of the texts, and the article number of each texts. (2) ${\ulcorner}$KyungJaBon${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$SinchukBon${\lrcorner}$ has different number of the texts about ${\ulcorner}$The general remarks on the Soyangin${\lrcorner}$. (3) It is different with original ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$ because of the extracting marks of the text. (4) It is supposed that it has the pares which was additionally or wrongly amended by someone. 3) We can consider that the character of original ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$ which was written by DongMu from ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSooseBowon GaboGubon${\lrcorner}$ as follows. (1) ${\ulcorner}$The Discourse on Nature and Order${\lrcorner}$${\sim}$${\ulcorner}$The Discourse on the Four Principles${\lrcorner}$ is original articles of ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$. (2) The head title of${\ulcorner}$The Discourse on the Origin of Oriental Medicine${\lrcorner}$ was not in ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$. (3) It is not clear whether ${\ulcorner}$The Discourse on the General Health Maintenance${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$The Discourse on Identifying Four Constitutions${\lrcorner}$ is original texts or amended texts of ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$. So it is required more study about it.

  • This paper was written in order to study the correlation of Taeumin's symptomatic phamacology to Chinese Febrile medicine. Through the symptoms and Clinical cases, treatments of the epidemic febrile disease in ${\ulcorner}Dongyi$ Suse $Bowon\{lrcorner}$ , the symptomatic phamacology for Taeumin was compared with chinese febrile medicine. The following conclusions were reached as a result of comparing the epidemic febrile disease in Taeumin with Chinese febrile medicine. 1. The concept of the epidemic febrile disease in Chinese febrile medicine is wider than that of the epidemic febrile disease in ${\ulcorner}Dongyi$ Suse $Bowon\{lrcorner}$ 2. The cause of the epidemic febrile disease in Chinese febrile medicine is fevershiness almost, but the So-byung(An Natural-Ordinary Disease) of Taeumin in ${\ulcorner}Dongyi$ Suse $Bowon\{lrcorner}$ is the basic method to diagnose the symptom of the epidemic febrile disease. 3. The So-byung of Taeumin in ${\ulcorner}Dongyi$ Suse $Bowon\{lrcorner}$ is divided into feverish symptom and cold symptom according to the so-byung. 4. In ${\ulcorner}Dongyi$ Suse $Bowon\{lrcorner}$, The method of a curative means is based on differing dimensions of the Visera and bowels, but Chinese Febrile Medicine has a equal curative means irrelevant to a patient's character.

  • Background and Purpose Through ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$, Dongmu Lee Je-ma supposed the minds of management for Sasang Constitutional Symptoms, which had been accomplished through several steps from his early writings to ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$ published in 1901. His basic minds of treatment for disease had been supposed early in ${\ulcorner}$Gyojapyungseongjam${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$Gyukchigo${\lrcorner}$, and had been completed to the Sasang Constitutional Symptoms and the minds of management for it, from ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon Sasang Chobongyun${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$ written in 1894 to ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$ published in 1901. In this paper, I tried to find the minds of treatment of ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$, through classifying and researching the early minds of treatment (presented in ${\ulcorner}$Gyojapyungseongjam${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Gyukchigo${\ulcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon Sasang Chobongyun${\lrcorner}$), and the latter minds of treatment (presented in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\ulcorner}$ written in 1894, ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$ published in 1901) Methods It was researched as bibliologically with his writings such as ${\ulcorner}$Gyojapyungseongjam${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Gyukchigo${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon Sasang Chobongyun${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$ written in 1894, ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$ published in 1901. Results and Conclusions The conclusions were as follows. 1. At early, Dongmu Lee Je-ma pursued the minds of treatment at the autonomous control through 'Acquaintance and Self-control' based on 'the Knowledge of Nature and Desire', so emphasized 'self-control' as important point in treatment. 2. From ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon Sasang Chobongyun${\lcorner}$, Dongmu summarized Sasang constitutional symptoms structurally in view of Morpho-imaginary. In ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon Sasang Chobongyun${\lcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lcorner}$ written in 1894, It was described in view of small organ, but in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lcorner}$ published in 1901, suggested more updated in view of both large and small organ and to which added the concept of Hot and Cold. 3. Through reinterpreting the concept of interior and exterior disease in ${\ulcorner}$Sanghanrhon${\lcorner}$, the concept of Sasang constitutional symptoms had started as the minds of treatment for individual disease, but in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lcorner}$ published in 1901, it was accomplished as the minds of broad management for Sasang Constitutional Symptoms. 4. In ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lcorner}$ published in 1901, the broad therapeutic prescriptions for management of Sasang constitutional symptoms were proposed newly, according to the accomplishment of Sasang constitutional symptomatic patterns, so these have different aims and are more important than that proposed previously. 5. The control in view of 'Knowledge and Deed' and the minds of management for Sasang constitutional symptoms are the minds and spirits for treantment and prevention against disease, which can maximize the power of autonomous self-treatment and manage all disease broadly.

Objectives This study is to find changes of Dongmu Lee Je-Ma's conception about Soeumin Gwakran(곽란(藿亂)) Disease through comparing with his writings such as ${\ulcorner}$DongMuYooGo${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sasang chobon guen${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Gabobon${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sinchucbon${\lrcorner}$. 2. Methods We compared conceptions, symptom, mechanism and treatment of Soeumin Gwakran(곽란(藿亂)) Disease in ${\ulcorner}$DongMuYooGo${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sasang Chobonguen${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Gabobon${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sinchucbon${\lrcorner}$ 3. Results and Conclusions (1) In ${\ulcorner}$DongMuYooGo${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sasang Chobonguen${\lrcorner}$, Dongmu Lee Je-Ma?s conception about soeumin Gwakran(곽란(藿亂)) Disease is yet based on previous traditional medicine based on ${\ulcorner}$DongEuiBoGam${\lrcorner}$ (2) In ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Gabobon${\lrcorner}$, Seupgwakran(습곽란(濕藿亂)) is described within the catego of Taeum syndrome(태음병(太陰病)), and Geongwakran(건곽란(乾藿亂)) is described within the catergory of Soeum syndrome(소음병(少陰炳)). But conception about Soeurnin Gwakran(곽란(藿亂)) Disease is not yet definitely settled. (3) In ${\ulcorner}$SooSe Bowon Sinchucbon${\lrcorner}$, Geongwakran(건곽란(乾藿亂)) is described within a severe case of Taeum syndrome(태음병(太陰病)) ? Dongmu Lee Je-Ma? s conception about Soeurnin Gwakran(곽란(藿亂)) Disease is changed.

Background and Purpose At the year of 2000, the society of Sasang Constitutional Medicine acquired ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSooseBowon GaboGubon${\lrcorner}$ which is seen as a written copy of ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$. According to Lee Sung-su who is the great-grandson of DongMu's older brother, ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSooseBowon GaboGubon${\lrcorner}$ was worked by Lee Jin-yoon who is the grandson of DongMu's older brother, and it was copied by Han Min-gab and now is owned by Lee Sung-su who is son of Lee Jin-yoon. 2. Methods This paper was written in order to understand of the character of the discourse on the medications and prescriptions of the ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSooseBowon GaboGubon${\lrcorner}$. 3. Result and Conclusion 1) Newly created prescriptions of ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$ is composed of the 125 medications of Soeumin 46, Soyangin 36, Taeumin 29, Taeyangin 14. Regarding with that prescriptions, the average number of the medications per prescription is 9.3 and the average capacity of that is 42.6gram. 2) The experimental prescription is from ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$. All the 37 prescriptions of ${\ulcorner}$Sanghanlon${\lrcorner}$ is found at the text of ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$, and only 12 of 37 prescriptions of Traditional Medicine excepting ${\ulcorner}$Sanghanlon${\lrcorner}$ is described at the text of it. Hardly any case of treatment by Traditional Prescription can be found at the discourse on constitunal symptoms and diseases. 3) Only 13 of 69 newly created prescriptions is not prescribed at ${\ulcorner}$GaboBon${\lrcorner}$, and 7 of the 13 prescriptions don't have the symptom of charge also. 4) 6 prescriptions which are supposed to newly created prescriptions of ${\ulcorner}$The Discourse on Constitutional Symptoms and Diseases${\lrcorner}$ are not describe to the composition of medications. 5) All the newly created prescriptions of ${\ulcorner}$The General Remarks on the Soeumin${\lrcorner}$ of ${\ulcorner}$SinChucBon${\lrcorner}$ are to be regarded as GaboBon's.

  • 1. Objectives This study is purposed to classify treatment and diagnosis of So-gal on the relationship of Sasang Constitutional Medicine. 2. Methods We compared conception, symptoms, mechanism and treatment of Sasangin's So-gal in ${\ulcorner}$Dongyisusebowon${\lrcorner}$ ${\ulcorner}$Gabobon${\lrcorner}$, ${\ulcorner}$Sinchukbon${\lrcorner}$ and ${\ulcorner}$Chobongwon${\lrcorner}$. 3. Result and Conclusion (1) So-gal of Soyangin is general disease, it is important disease of interior heat syndrome. So-gal of Taeumin is troubled by dryness of the lung, category of interior heat syndrome, but it bring about various complication. So-gal of Soeumin is important point that divide seriousness of disease. (2) So-gal is interior heat syndrome, it is related to interior heat syndrome of Soyangin, Taeumin. So-gal of Soeumin expresses conclusion of seriousness regardless of exterior and interior disease. (3) So-gal is related to nature, it is most important disease to Soyangin who is apt to variation of nature.

  • 1. Objectives The purpose of this study is to analysis that one's constitutional medicine can be used as another's medicine or not. Using the results of this study, it will improve to understand sasang constitutional medicine. 2. Methods In Lee Je-Ma's writings - GaboGubon ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$ and ShinChukbon ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$-, I analysis that one's constitutional medicine can be used as another's medicine. 3. Results and conclusions 1) In early stages of Lee Je-Ma's writings, there are several cases that one's constitutional medicines could be used as another's. But as days goes by, there are lesser cases that one's constitutional medicines could be used as another's. 2) In Lee Je-Ma's writings, there are few mixing of medicines with other constitutions. But, that have no fIxed standards such as book kind, constitution and others. 3) In Lee Je-Ma's writings, there are some mixing of medicine with other constitutions in cases of imperfections, experiences and modifications. 4) In Lee Je-Ma's writings, there are not permissions mixing of medicine with other constitutions in cases of side effects, obstructions and efficiencies.

Methods This study Was researched as bibliographically with Dong-Mu's writings such as ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$ written in 1894('GaboBon'), ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Soose Bowon${\lrcorner}$ published in 1901('Sinch ukBon') 3. Results and Conclusions I) The conception of Soewnin Hwangdal(jaundice, 황달(黃疸)) is a syndrome of indigestion, which needs releasing excessive through the method of decending the interior yin. 2) In the course of Taeum syndrome(태음병(太陰炳)), Soeuwnin Hangdal(jaundice황달(黃疸)) locate beetwen Miman (bloating, 비만(?滿)) and Bujong(edema, 부종(浮腫)) on the point of view of Healthy Energy. 3)In ?SinchukBon? , Soewnin interior disease is divided two syndromes. The one is the syndrome that has diarrhea as major symptom, and the another is the syndrome that has bloating as major symptom 4) In ?SinchukBon? , Dong-Mu suggested that diuresis is an important treatment of the syndrome which has bloating as major symptom.

  • 1. Objectives This paper was written in order ro understand the conception on YangQi and YinQi in Sasang Constitutional Medicine. Specially that were focused on the discourse of the symptoms and diseases. 2. Methods We analysis YangQi and YinQi in Gabobon(甲午本) and Sinchukbon(辛丑本) of ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$ 3. Results and Conclusions The symptomatic-pharmacology of Soeunin and Soyangin was base on the master of reserving life(保命之主). YangQi is ascending Qi and YinQi is descending Qi. that conception is Qi of the large and small organ. And that is appeared hot or cold Qi in body. The influential competition of YinYang is focused on primordial Qi(正氣) of small organ in Gabobon. And focused on small organ's the primordial Qi of the exterior disease and large that of the interior disease in Sinchukbon. YangQi is divided to physiological that and patholgical that at the discourse on the Soyangin’s interior disease in the Sinchukbon. Because YinQi is in proportion to physiological YangQi and inverse proportion to pathological YangQi, physiological that is similar to weak and strong of YinQi that is the master of reserving life. So ascending Yang of Soyangin is more correct as ascending physiological that. YinQi is not divided to physiologica that and patholgical that at the discourse on the Soeumin's interior disease in the Sinchukbon like Soyangin's that. But there is more reasonable that divid physiological YinQi and patholgical that. So descending Yin of Soeumin is more correct as descending physiological that.

  • 1. Objectives Nursing's meaning in Oriental medicine is prevention of disease more than treatment. The parts of defination are methods of non-medicine precisely, care of health and recuperation. 2. Methods This paper was written in order to understand of ${\ulcorner}$Dongyi Suse Bowon${\lrcorner}$ written in 1894(Old Edition} through the study to focus on the Sasang Constitutional nursing theory. 3. Results & Conclusions (1) Dialectic of Sasang Constitutional nursing are necessary to assesment about four fundamental factors (perspira­tion, defecation, digestion, urination). (2) Medicational guidance are different from character, dosage of medication, degree of disease, a poisonous drug etc. (3) Preservation of health are medication and food regimen. If 'Inherent vitality' is in a disadvantageous position, recuperation is first more than medication. The most important is protectional management. There are necessary about mind of 'liquor-sex- property-authority' & 'joy-anger- sorrow-pleasure'. It is the same application as nursing.
