니켈계 유사 하이드로탈사이트 촉매상에서 n-헥사데칸의 수증기 개질에 의한 수소 생산 (Hydrogen Production from Steam Reforming of n-Hexadecane over Ni-Based Hydrotalcite-Like Catalyst)

  • Steam reforming of n-hexadecane, a major component of diesel over Ni-based hydrotalcite-like catalyst was carried out at $900^{\circ}C$ at atmospheric pressure with space velocity of $10,000h^{-1}$ and feed molar ratio of steam/carbon=3.0. Ni-based hydrotalcite catalyst was prepared by a solid phase crystallization (spc) method and characterized by $N_2$-physisorption, CO chemisorption, TPR., XRD, and TEM techniques. It was found that spc Ni/MgAl catalyst showed higher catalytic stability and inhibition of carbon formation than Ni/$\gamma-Al_2O_3$ catalyst under the tested conditions. The results suggest that the modified spc-Ni/MgAl catalyst after optimization may be applied for the SR reaction of diesel.

  • The circuit substrate was made from the Low Temperature Cofired Ceramics(LTCC) that a $\varepsilon_\gamma$ was 7.8. Accumulated Varactor and the low noise transistor which were a Surface Mount Device-type element on LTCC substrate. Let passive element composed R, L, C with strip-line of three dimension in the multilayer substrate circuit inside, and one structure accumulate band-pass filter, resonator, a bias line, a matching circuit, and made it. Used Screen-Print process, and made Strip-line resonator. A design produced and multilayer-type VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator), and recognized a characteristic with the Spectrum Analyzer which was measurement equipment. Measured multilayer structure VCO is oscillation frequency 1292[MHz], oscillation output -28.38[dBm], hamonics characteristic -45[dBc] in control voltage 1.5[V], A phase noise is -68.22[dBc/Hz] in 100 KHz offset frequency. The oscillation frequency variable characteristic showed 30[MHz/V] characteristic, and consumption electric current is approximately 10[mA].

플라즈마 이온질화에 의한 Fe 나노분말소결체의 표면경화 가능성 연구 (A Feasibility Study on the Surface Hardening of Sintered Iron Nanopowder by Plasma Ion Nitriding)

  • This study has been performed on the full density sintering of Fe nanopowder and the surface hardening by plasma ion nitriding. The Fe sintered part was fabricated by pressureless sintering of the Fe nanopowder at $700^{\circ}C$ in which the nanopowder agglomerates were controlled to have 0.5-5 ${\mu}m$ sized agglomerates with 150 nm Fe nanopowders. The green compact with 46% theoretical density(T.D.) showed a homogeneous microstructure with fine pores below 1 ${\mu}m$. After sintering, the powder compact underwent full densification process with above 98%T.D. and uniform nanoscale microstructure. This enhanced sintering is thought to be basically due to the homogeneous microstructure in the green compact in which the large pores are removed by wet-milling. Plasma ion nitriding of the sintered part resulted in the formation of ${\gamma}$'-$Fe_4N$ equilibrium phase with about 12 ${\mu}m$ thickness, leading to the surface hardening of the sintered Fe part. The surface hardness was remarkably increased from 176 $H_v$ for the matrix to 365 $H_v$.

  • Inclusion complexation of tiaprofenic acid (TPA) with cyclodextrins $({\alpha}-,\;{\beta}-,\;{\gamma}-CyDs)$ in aqueous solution and in solid phase was investigated by solubility method, measurement of partition coefficient, ultra-violet, circular dichroism, infrared spectroscopies, powder X-ray diffractometry and differential scanning calorimetry. Investigations were made to prepare inclusion complexes of TPA with ${\beta}-CyD$ in solid powdered form by coprecipitation, freeze-drying, spray-drying and co-pulverization methods. The coprecipitation, freeze-drying and spray-drying methods were successful in obtaining inclusion complexes. The results showed that the latter two methods might be originally superior to the former in obtaining powdered inclusion completes. Especially, it was shown by powder X-ray diffractometry that spray-dried ${\beta}-CyD$ alone, TPA-spray-dried ${\beta}-CyD$ physical mixture, and spray-dried $TPA-{\beta}-CyD$ complex were amorphous. The dissolution behaviours of $TPA-{\beta}-CyD$ systems prepared by above four methods were compared with those of TPA alone and $TPA-{\beta}-CyD$ physical mixture, and the rates of dissolution of TPA in pH 1.2 buffer were greatly enhanced by inclusion complexation and copulverization.

In, Bi가 첨가된 Sn-9wt.%Zn/Cu 접합부의 납땜성 및 기계적 성질 (The Solderability and Mechanical Properties of In, Bi Added Sn-9Zn/Cu Joint)

  • Interfacial reaction and mechanical properties between Sn-Zn-X ternary alloys(X : 3wt.%In, 4wt.%Bi) and Cu-substrate were studied. Cu/solder joints were subjected to aging treatments for up to 50days to see interfacial reaction at $100^{\circ}C$ and then were examined changes of microstructure and interfacial compound by optical microscopy, SEM and EDS. Cu/solder joints were aged to 30days and then loaded to failure at cross head speed of 0.3 mm $min^{-1}$ to measure tensile strength. According to the results of the solderability test, additions of In and Bi in the Sn-9wt.%Zn solder improve the wetting characteristics of the alloy and lower the melting temperature. Through the EDS and XRD analysis of Cu/Sn-9wt.%Zn solder joint, it was concluded that the intermetallic compound was the ${\gamma}-Cu_5Zn_8$ phase. Cu-Zn intermetallics at Cu/solder interfaces played an important role in both the microstructure evolution and failure of solder joints. Cu/solder joint strength was decreased by aging treatment, and those phenomenon was closely related to the thickening of intermetallic layer at Cu/solder joints.

800nm급 펨토초 레이저로 제작된 FBG 센서의 내방사선 특성 (Radiation resistant Characteristics of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors made with 800-nm femtosecond laser)

  • 본 논문에서는 800nm급 펨토초 레이저와 위상마스크를 이용하여 게르마늄이 첨가된 일반 광섬유(Corning SMF-28)에 FBG 센서를 가공하였다. 제작된 FBG 센서는 누적방사선 100 kGy급 감마선에 조사하여 방사선 영향을 평가하였다. fs-FBG-2 센서는 방사선 조사 중에 불완전한 광특성을 보였지만, fs-FBG-1 센서는 누적선량 100kGy에서 Bragg 파장변화가 10pm 이하로 나타나 뛰어난 내방사선 특성을 보였다.

  • A Thermal Barrier Coating (TBC) can play an important role in protecting parts from harmful environments at high temperatures such as oxidation, corrosion, and wear in order to improve the efficiency of aircraft engines by lowering the surface temperature of the turbine blade. The TBC can increase the life span of the product and improve the operating properties. Therefore, in this study the mechanical and thermal properties of the TBC such as oxidation, fatigue and shock at high temperatures were evaluated. A samples of a bond coat (CoNiCrAlY) produced by the High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) and Low Pressure Plasma Spray (LPPS) method were used. The thickness of the HVOF coating layer was approximately $450\mu\textrm{m}$ to 500$\mu\textrm{m}$ and the hardness number of the coating layer was between 350Hv and 400Hv. The thickness of the LPPS coating was about 350$\mu\textrm{m}$ to 400$\mu\textrm{m}$ and the hardness number of the coating was about 370Hv to 420Hv. The X-ray diffraction analysis showed that CoNiCrAlY coating layer of the HVOF and LPPS was composed of the $\beta$and ${\gamma}$phase. After the high temperature oxidation test, the oxide scale with about l0$\mu\textrm{m}$ to 20$\mu\textrm{m}$ thickness appeared at the coating surface on the Al-depleted zone was observed under the oxide scale layer.

산화철 합성에 미치는 침전제와 초음파의 영향 (Influence of the Precipitation Medium and Ultrasonic Wave on the Synthesis of Iron Oxide)

  • Synthesis of Iron oxides by air oxidation of $FeSO_4$ solutions in the presence of NaOH, Diethylenetriamine (DETA), Butylamine (BA) and influence of ultrasonic wave were investigated by XRD, SEM and particle size analyzer. As the DETA addition increased to 0.05 mol, $Fe_3O_4$ was formed with goethite($\alpha$- FeOOH) and $Fe_3O_4$ single phase was formed above 0.18mol of DETA. As the BA addition increased, the XRD peak intensity of (020) face of lepidocrocite($\gamma$-FeOOH) was developed until the formation of $Fe_3O_4$ and reduced the size of the iron oxide particles formed. Ultrasonic wave reduced the size of the iron oxide particles but gave little effects on the iron oxide particles synthesized by amine.

  • The effects of processing parameters on the surface properties of the hardened layers processed by the low temperature plasma nitrocarburizing and the low temperature two-step plama treatment (carburizing+nitriding) were investigated. The nitrogen-enriched expanded austenite structure (${\gamma}_N$) or S phase was formed on all of the treated surface. The surface hardness reached up to 1200 $HV_{0.025}$, which is about 5 times higher than that of untreated sample (250 $HV_{0.1}$). The thickness of hardened layer of the low temperature plasma nitrocarburized layer treated at $400^{\circ}C$ for 40 hour was only $15{\mu}m$, while the layer thicknesss in the two-step plama treatment for the 30 hour treatment increased up to about $30{\mu}m$. The surface thickness and hardness increased with increasing treatment temperature and time. In addition, the corrosion resistance was enhanced than untreated samples due to a high concentration of N on the surface. However, higher treatment temperature and longer treatment time resulted in the formation of $Cr_2N$ precipitates, which causes the degradation of corrosion resistance.

졸-겔법으로 제조된 복합 알루미나 미분체의 첨가제에 의한 구조적 특성 비교 (A Comparison of Structural Characterization of Composite Alumina Powder Prepared by Sol-Gel Method According to the Promoters)

  • 본 연구는 졸-겔법을 이용하여 복합 알루미나를 제조하였고, 다양한 첨가제의 첨가에 의한 복합 알루미나의 열적 안정성을 고찰하였다. $1,200^{\circ}C$에서 소성시킨 복합 알루미나의 열적 안정성은 사용된 첨가제에 따라서 $Si{\fallingdotseq}La$ > Ti > $Ba{\fallingdotseq}Ce$ > Y > $Zr{\fallingdotseq}Mg$ 순으로 나타났다. 특히 실리카 첨가시 ${\alpha}$-알루미나로의 상전이 온도를 $150^{\circ}C$이상 높여 $1,200^{\circ}C$에서 소성 후에도 ${\gamma}$-형에서 ${\delta}$-형의 알루미나 상을 유지함을 알 수 있었고, 비표면적이 $3m^2/g$${\alpha}$-알루미나에 비해 $71m^2/g$(비표면적) 범위까지 증가됨을 보였다. 이러한 알루미나 입자의 특성변화는 실리카 첨가 알루미나의 경우 고온으로 소성시 Si-O-Al의 결합의 증가로 인하여 알루미나의 상전이를 지연시키는 결과로 나타나고, 란타늄 첨가 알루미나의 경우 $LaAlO_3$ 구조의 존재로 인해 알루미나의 입자간 소결을 지연시킴을 알 수 있었다. 또한 란타늄 첨가시 $1,000^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 소성시킨 경우 란타늄이 알루미나 표면에 $La_2O_3$ 구조로 존재하나 $1,000^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 $LaAlO_3$의 perovskite 구조로 존재하고, $1,300^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 $LaAl_{11}O_{18}$의 magneto-plumbite 구조로 존재함을 XRD와 XPS 분석 결과에 의해 확인할 수 있었다.
