그리드 동기형 PLL의 위상오차 개선 (Improvement of PLL Phase Error for Grid Synchronization)

  • 그리드 연계 인버터의 주파수 위상 동기를 위해 사용하는 SRF PLL의 입력함수를 Vq및 Vd 전압을 복합적으로 사용하여 응답특성을 개선시켰다. 기존의 SRF PLL에서 Vq만을 이용한 구조는 위상범위 [$-{\pi}/2$, ${\pi}/2$]에서만 선형 동작이 가능하지만, 제안된 구조는 $2{\pi}$ 영역 모두에서 선형 동작이 가능토록 하였다. 시뮬레이션으로 위상차 ${\pi}$에서 기존 SRF PLL의 부동작을 확인하고 제안된 방법의 속응성을 보였다.

MEMS 로 제작된 마이크로 채널에서의 3 차원 열전달 해석 (3D simulation of Heat transfer in MEMS-based microchannel)

  • The microchannel heat sink is promising heat dissipation method for high heat flux source. Contrary to conventional circular channel, MEMS based microchannel had rectangular or trapezoidal cross-sectional shape. In our study, we conducted three dimensional conjugate heat transfer calculation for rectangular shape microchannel. First, we simulated that channel was completely drained with known heating power. As a result we obtained calibration line, which indicates heat loss was function of temperature. Second, we simulated single phase heat transfer with various mass flux, 100-400 $kg/m^2s$. In conclusion, the single phase test verified that the present heat loss evaluation method is applicable to micro scale heat transfer devices. Heat fluxes from each side wall shows difference due to non-uniform heating. However those ratios were correlated with supplied total heat. Finally, we proposed effective area correction factor to evaluate appropriate heat flux.

Experimental Studies on Hydraulic Lifting of Solid-liquid Two-phase Flow

  • Experimental studies with 4.3m and enlarged 30m in height have been conducted to investigate the flow characteristics of solid-liquid mixture in a lifting pipe and to acquire the design data for sea tests that will be performed in the future. From the results, it was observed that the more the discharged volume fraction and the solid diameter increase, the more the hydraulic gradient increases. Also, the more the diameter of the lifting pipe increases, the smaller the friction loss, and consequently, the less pressure drop and hydraulic gradient. From the enlarged hydraulic pumping experiments, it was shown that the results of the experiments were matched with those of the numerical model previously developed. On the bases of these studies, we plan to conduct further experiments and validate the hydraulic pumping model.

  • ZnS-based orange-emitting phosphors were synthesized by two-step firing process: above $1000^{\circ}C$ to obtain hexagonal phase, and at $750^{\circ}C$ for cubic phase. The effect of heat treatment condition on the optical properties was investigated to fine an optimum condition for high-performance ZnS:Mn,Cu,Cl phosphor.

Contraction of a newly reclaimed mudflat detected by Differential SAR Interferometry

  • This paper reports the observation of the interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) phase anomaly on a newly reclaimed mudflat, Hwaong, in west coast of Korea, detected by a series of Radarsat-l SAR data obtained mostly during 2003. The observed phase anomaly could be from subsidence of mud land caused by volumetric contraction of mud in dry season. This process must have been initiated from March 2002 when tidal water supply to this region was permanently blocked by the newly constructed embankment. The maximum subsidence rate measured from InSAR signal is about 3 cm per month. The local heterogeneity of the subsidence rate over the reclaimed mudflat may indicate various mud composition, surface-subsurface hydrological processes, or subsurface information of the mud and basement rock structure. In-situ measurement must follow to support this observation from space.

  • An experimental investigation is carried out to study 2-phase vertically upward hydraulic transport of solid particles by water and non-Newtonian fluids in a slim hole concentric annulus with rotation of the inner cylinder. Rheology of particulate suspensions in viscoelastic fluids is of importance in many applications such as particle removal from surfaces, transport of proppants in fractured reservoir and cleaning of drilling holes, etc. In this study a clear acrylic pipe was used in order to observe the movement of solid particles. Annular fluid velocities varied from 0.2 m/s to 3.0 m/s. Pressure drops and average flow rate and particle rising velocity are measured. For both water and 0.2% CMC solutions, the higher the concentration of the solid particles is, the larger the pressure gradients become.

식방풍중의 Coumarin성분의 확인 및 정량 (Analysis of the Coumarin Constituents in Peucedanii Radix)

  • A new method for the analysis of coumarin constituents in the roots of Peucedanum japonicum by high performance liquid chromatography was established. Among two coumarin constituents identified, peucedanol was confirmed to be applicable to a standard compound. A reversed phase system with a ${\mu}Bondapak$ C_{18}$, column using $H_2O-MeOH=5\;:\;4$ as a moble phase was developed. Peucedanol and a minor constituent, umbelliferone were detected at 333nm and the analysis was successfully carried out within 20 min.

Transdermal Delivery of Diclofenac Using Microemulsions

  • A transdermal preparation containing diclofenac diethylammonium (DDA) was developed using an O/W microemulsion system. Of the oils tested, lauryl alcohol was chosen as the oil phase of the microemulsion, as it showed a good solubilizing capacity and excellent skin permeation rate of the drug. Pseudoternary phase diagrams were constructed to obtain the concentration range of oil, surfactant and cosurfactant for microemulsion formation, and the effect of these additives on skin permeation of DDA was evaluated with excised rat skins. The optimum formulation of the microemulsion consisted of 1.16% of DDA, 5% of lauryl alcohol, 60% of water in combination with the 34.54% of Labrasol (surfactant)/ethanol (cosurfactant) (1:2). The efficiency of formulation in the percutaneous absorption of DDA was dependent upon the contents of water and lauryl alcohol as well as Labrasol: ethanol mixing ratio. It was concluded that the percutaneous absorption of DDA from microemulsions was enhanced with increasing the lauryl alcohol and water contents, and with decreasing the Labrasol:ethanol mixing ratio in the formulation.
