  • A 1-year-old male Persian cat was presented for castration. Liver incarcerated in a peritoneopericardial diaphragmatic hernia (PPDH) was diagnosed through pre-anesthetic tests. Multiple homogeneous hyperechoic nodules in the hepatic parenchyma were identified using ultrasound. The nodules showed decreased attenuation compared with normal hepatic parenchyma, and the herniated hepatic parenchyma showed increased arterial and decreased portal enhancement on computed tomography. From the histopathology, we diagnosed hydropic degeneration with portal fibrosis and myelolipoma. This report presents diagnostic imaging features of hepatic myelolipoma incarcerated in a PPDH in a cat. When perfusion of the hepatic parenchyma is altered, surgical treatment should be considered.

  • this paper, integrity analysis in Korean region using GPS, modernized GPS, Galileo, SBAS and GBAS is given. The simulation results show that Cat. I requirement can be met using modernized GPS and Galileo alone, however, Cat. II and III are not met even augmenting SBAS because of VPL. A more efficient augmentation such as GBAS reduces VPL to meet Cat. II and III requirements in Korean region. This result will be used to design and implement not only an augmentation system but also regional satellite navigation system.

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time centralized soft motion control system for high speed and precision robot control. The system engages EtherCAT as high speed industrial motion network to enable force based motion control in real-time and is composed of software-based master controller with PC and slave interface modules. Hard real-time control capacity is essential for high speed and precision robot control. To implement soft based real time control, The soft based master controller is designed using a real time kernel (RTX) and EtherCAT network, and servo processes are located in the master controller for centralized motion control. In the proposed system, slave interface modules just collect and transfer all sensor information of robot to the master controller via the EtherCAT network. It is proven by experimental results that the proposed soft motion control system has real time controllability enough to apply for various robot control systems.

  • A 6-year-old female domestic short hair cat presented with acute onset of vomiting, anorexia, lethargy, and tachypnea. The cat was apparently healthy prior to presentation without history of trauma. On diagnostic imagings, the entire stomach and spleen were detected in the thoracic cavity. An emergent celiotomy was performed, and a type-4 hiatal hernia was confirmed; the stomach, spleen, pancreas, and duodenum were herniated through the esophageal hiatus. It was corrected using phrenicoplasty, esophagopexy, and left-sided gastropexy and there was no recurrence 16 months after surgery. This is the first case report of an idiopathic type-4 hiatal hernia in a cat.

  • A secure and novel watermarking system based on complemented Maximum Length Cellular Automata (MLCA) and Two-Dimension Cellular Automata Transform (2D CAT) is proposed. In this watermarking scheme, the original watermark which is first encrypted by complemented MLCA with the private keys, and the encrypted watermark is embedded into the CAT domain of the cover image. Experiment results show that this new method is more secure and provides robust performance against watermarking attacks.

  • A castrated, 6-year-old, male Turkish Angora cat with a history of respiratory distress was referred to the hospital. Physical examination revealed a cardiac murmur, and thoracic radiographic findings revealed pleural effusion and cardiomegaly. Echocardiography showed abnormality of the tricuspid and mitral valve, and color-flow Doppler imaging revealed regurgitation between both atrium and ventricle. Based on the echocardiographic examination, tricuspid valve dysplasia concurrent with mitral valve dysplasia was diagnosed. However, the patient died a week after treatment. In necropsy, bilateral atrioventricular valve dysplasia and left ventricular hypertrophy were confirmed. This is the first report to describe a middle age Turkish angora cat having bilateral atrioventricular valve dysplasia which has high mortality and only been reported rarely in cats. This case report also describes its clinical signs, diagnostic imaging findings, treatment and discussions how the patient could live long.

  • A ten-year-old, male cat presented with recent loss of body weight, depression, vomiting, anorexia, polydipsia, and polyuria. General physical findings included depression, weakness, severe dehydration and a strong acetone odor on the breath. A complete blood count and serum biochemical profiles were leukocytosis, hyperglycemia (286 mg/dl), hypokalemia (2.6 mEq/L), hyponatremia, and high serum fructosamine (600 $\mu$mol/L). In blood gas analysis the cat had acidosis (pH 7.127, p$CO_2$26.7 mmHg). In urinalysis glycosuria and ketouria were appeared. On the basis of clinical signs, serum chemistry, blood gas analysis and urinalysis, diabetic ketoacidosis was diagnosed. Treatment included subcutaneous administration of protamine zinc insulin (0.75 U/head) and intravenous administration of 0.9% saline. Potassium phosphate and sodium bicarbonate was added to the fluids. Serum fructosamine for assessment of glycemic control was measured on occasion calls. On day 296, the patient improved clinically and did not experience any problems resulting from diabetic ketoacidosis.

  • A 14-year-old castrated male Persian cat presented with epiphora, blepharospasm, brownish ocular discharge, corneal neovascularization, and corneal opacity in the left eye. Medial lower eyelid entropion was diagnosed through an ophthalmic examination. Since the cat was old and suffered from chronic kidney disease, we decided to perform a hyaluronic acid (HA) subdermal filler injection without general anesthesia rather than surgical correction. After topical anesthesia by lidocaine jelly and disinfection, HA filler was injected into the medial lower eyelid under minimal physical restraint. At the last follow-up 139 days later, lower eyelid entropion was not observed and related clinical signs disappeared. Therefore, HA subdermal filler can be an effective intervention for the treatment of entropion in cats.

  • A 7-year-old Scottish Straight cat presented with hypersalivation and generalized hyperesthesia. The cat was provided tuna-based food for 2 to 3 weeks before clinical symptoms appeared. Abdominal ultrasonography showed a heterogeneous, hyperechoic mesentery with hypoechoic foci. Pansteatitis was tentatively diagnosed and the cat was treated with vitamin E, anti-inflammatory drugs, and dietary changes. The clinical signs and changes in mesenteric fat on serial ultrasonography resolved. After feeding tuna-based food again, the same clinical signs and mesenteric changes on ultrasound recurred, which recovered through the same treatment. This study suggests that ultrasonography can be useful for diagnosis and monitoring of feline pansteatitis.

  • In this paper, we provide certain fixed point results for a generalized 𝛼-nonexpansive mapping, as well as a new iterative algorithm called SRJ-iteration for approximating the fixed point of this class of mappings in the setting of CAT(0) spaces. Furthermore, we establish strong and ∆-convergence theorem for generalized 𝛼-nonexpansive mapping in CAT(0) space. Finally, we present a numerical example to illustrate our main result and then display the efficiency of the proposed algorithm compared to different iterative algorithms in the literature. Our results obtained in this paper improve, extend and unify results of Abbas et al. [10], Thakur et al. [22] and Piri et al. [19].
