태양광 고고도 장기체공형 무인기나 인간동력 항공기 등에 사용되는 높은 종횡비를 가진 유연날개는 공력 및 구조 상호작용으로 인하여, 구조적 비선형 처짐 및 양력감소 등의 문제가 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 저속 비행하는 높은 종횡비를 가진 날개의 단방향 공력-구조 연계해석을 수행하였다. XFOIL을 사용하여 공력천이현상을 포함한 저 레이놀즈수 익형 공력특성 자료 확보를 기반으로 3차원 양력선 이론을 사용하여 공력해석 연구를 수행했다. 구조해석은 상용소프트웨어 ANSYS를 사용하여 구조변형이나 응력해석 연구를 수행했다. 단방향 공력-구조 연계해석 결과를 바탕으로 인간동력 항공기 주 날개의 형상설계 연구를 수행했다.

In this paper, we report a non-explosive separation device for a small satellite which utilize a shape memory alloy actuator and spring clamp. In order to increase the preload, the proposed device employs spring clamp that can generate high toque when the shape memory alloy actuator makes the cylinder key unlatch a holding ball effectively. Owing to simple design of separation device configuration, we could obtain good repeatability(up to 30 times activation). Conclusively, we could develop a non-explosive separation device which can reliably activate within 1.2 sec under high preload(up to 300kgf).

Micro planar type liquid propellant thruster was fabricated by MEMS manufacturing process for micro/nano satellites applications. 90 wt.% hydrogen peroxide was used as propellant and for propellant decomposition, Pt/Al2O3 was used as catalyst. Micro thruster structure was made by 5 photosensitive glasses patterned with thruster component profiles. Objective thrust was 50 mN and required hydrogen peroxide mass flow was 2.1 ml/min, which was supplied by syringe pump and teflon tube in experimental test. Performance test said that average steady thrust was approximately 30 mN, around 60% of objective thrust, and transient time was about 5 sec. It is estimated that extended response time was due to high thermal energy loss of micro scale thruster and low enthalpy input by propellant mass flow.

Export basic trainer was designed to add armed configuration required by customer. Design configuration of main wing was changed to satisfy changed internal load caused by armed configuration. It was verified that design changed main wing airframe of export basic trainer satisfy the requirement through the structural detail analysis, structural ground test and flight test. This paper presents the durability test procensure and test result for the main wing of export basic trainer.

Global market of unmanned aircraft(UA) is rapidly expending based on the versatile and efficient utility of the UA. Domestically many industries, universities and research institutes are trying to do research and development of the UA in various angle of aspect. In spite of these effort, all the participants of research and development of the UA has been suffering the difficulty of acquiring the airspace around vicinity of Goheung airfield for the flight test of UA. Although the current procedure of execution of the flight test of UA is set after acquiring the airspace by applying the NOTAM(Notice To Air Man) to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport(MLIT) at least 7 days before the flight test and commencing with the publication of the NOTAM by MLIT, if the flight test is carried out as planned, changing or reapplying the NOTAM expends mort time and makes difficulty often. Therefore it is needed that a restricted airspace for the flight test of UA is established and make all the executioner of flight test uses the exclusive airspace without limitation. This research proposes the restricted airspace with short term and long term establish requirement of airspace separately. The short term requirement has been established with the airspace of 10 nm radius and 8,000 ft altitude in which the requirements of flight test can be carried out more than 90% without needs of supplement of the additional airspace. The long term has been established within the airspace of 30 nm radius which is the maximum Radio Line Of Sight(RLOS) and 8,000 ft altitude with exclusion of current air way, airport control area, approaching corridor to the airport, existing restricted area(RA) and Military Operating Area(MOA) for the purpose of minimizing inconvenience of the other airspace user. Once establishing the exclusive airspace for the flight test of UA, research and development of industries, universities and research institutes will be more vigorous and contributes to the national economy.

Staged combustion cycle engines are well known to have high combustion efficiencies and specific impulse. In this study, design of mixing head part of combustion chamber for 8tonf class staged combustion cycle rocket engine (ES-08) was performed. Structural stability of the mixing head part of the combustion chamber is very important design factor because it is loaded by high temperature and high pressure of fuel and oxidizer as well as by thrust load simultaneously. Uniformity of flow distributions of the propellants to the injectors is also important factor. First, a basic configuration for the ES-08 mixing head part was designed on the basis of the structural design requirements. And then, the structural analyses were performed on the basic configuration as well as some of reinforced configurations. As the structural analyses results, the most stable configuration was selected for the ES-08 mixing head part. In order to examine the uniformity of the flow distributions of the propellants through the manifold of the mixing head, flow analysis was performed based on the selected configuration. The results of the flow analysis showed that the fuel and the oxidizer were uniformly supplied to the injector.

The various risk factors that affected schedule, costs and mission success, etc. in development of the satellite. This paper derives the considerable "Cost of Quality" factors in the satellite development phase through the survey of practical techniques in respect of measurement of quality cost in the commercial products manufacturing, and proposes mitigation strategy of quality cost using the approach that can be minimized it.

MSIP(Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Plaaning) established the 'space technology commercialization plan' at 2012. According to this plan, MSIP and KARI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute) are nuturing space-related venture companies so that those companies are increasing from 2013. In addition, MSIP and KARI held space-related idea festivals last two years, and will run start-up program (STAR-Exploration) this year.

In the vibration test, Most of the test specifications is standardized methods of sinusoidal excitation. However, in accordance with the ability of the test equipment progress and developments of electronic technology, methods of random vibration test is standardized in the MIL standard. Therefore, in this study, we tried to analyze Missile Guidance Structure using a finite element analysis with ABAQUS 6.13 that is commercial program. First, Random response analysis is analyzed. Following analyzing the results, we wanted to find the model that is lightweight and resonance does not occur.

The satellite orbit is continuously changing due to space environment. Especially for low earth orbit, atmospheric drag plays an important role in the orbit altitude decay. Recently, solar activities are expected to be high, and relevant events are occurring frequently. In this paper, analysis on the impact of geomagnetic storm on LEO satellite orbit is presented. For this, real flight data of KOMPSAT-2, KOMPSAT-3, and KOMPSAT-5 are analyzed by using the daily decay rate of mean altitude is calculated from the orbit determination. In addition, the relationship between the solar flux and geomagnetic index, which are the metrics for solar activities, is statistically analyzed with respect to the altitude decay. The accuracy of orbit prediction with both the fixed drag coefficient and estimated one is examined with the precise orbit data as a reference. The main results shows that the improved accuracy can be achieved in case of using estimated drag coefficient.

An aircraft engine is considered as the most important element among aircraft systems. Thus type certificate is required for an aircraft engine to ensure its safety under appropriate airworthiness standard. U.S. FAR Part 33 or European CS-E is widely adopted as an airworthiness standard for aircraft engines, and other representative countries of the world established own airworthiness standards under their regulations. In this paper, we compared differences of the requirements between FAR Part 33 and CS-E, and proposed the rulemaking items to harmonize Korean Airworthiness Standard for Aircraft Engines with worldwide standards and to contribute to growth of aviation industry.
