This study analyzes the differences in knowledge, confidence, and Performance Ability before and after CPR training of sailors to identify factors that affect their performance and provide them as basic data for CPR training. The study subjects were 88 seafarers who completed a retraining course during safety training at a mandatory training institution for seafarers located in City B. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Paired-Samples t-test and Pearson's correlation coefficient with SPSS WIN 23.0 program. All trainees (100%) had experience receiving CPR training, and their CPR knowledge was higher after training (6.11±1.11) than before training (3.06±1.08). Confidence in CPR was also higher after training (33.61±3.21) than before training (19.25±8.08), and their ability to perform CPR was also higher after training (11.11±1.19) than before training (7.69±1.80). In this study, it was confirmed that the higher the knowledge after CPR training, the higher the performance ability. Therefore, if you increase your knowledge through CPR training, your performance ability will increase, and you will be able to perform CPR with confidence when an actual cardiac arrest situation occurs.
