초등학생을 위한 교육용 로봇 활용 SW·AI 캠프 프로그램의 개발 및 효과 분석

Development and Effect Analysis of SW and AI Camp Programs using Educational Robots for Elementary School Students

초록

본 연구의 목적은 미래 교육을 위해 다양한 SW(software)·AI(Artificial Intelligence) 교육 방안을 제시하고자, 교육용 로봇 활용 SW·AI 캠프 프로그램을 개발하고 효과를 분석하는 것이다. 선행연구를 바탕으로 개발된 4개의 캠프 프로그램은 각기 다른 교육 주제와 학습 요소, 교육용 로봇을 기반으로 교육 내용이 구성되었다. 개발된 캠프 프로그램은 H 대학에서 주관한 SW·AI 캠프에 참여한 초등학생들에게 적용되었다. 효과 분석을 위해 학생들의 SW 역량 변화와 학생 만족도 등에 대한 통계 분석을 실시한 결과, 모든 프로그램에서 SW 역량 변화가 통계적으로 유의한 상승이 나타났고, 학생 만족도 등의 결과 역시 모든 요소에서 높게 나타났다. 이는 다양한 SW·AI 교육 프로그램을 제시하고자 하는 연구의 취지에 부합했으며, 후속으로 여러 대상으로 연구될 교육용 로봇을 활용한 캠프형 SW·AI 교육 프로그램 개발에 도움이 될 수 있을 것으로 시사된다.

The purpose of this study is to develop and analyze the effectiveness of an SW·AI camp program using educational robots. Based on prior research, four camp programs were developed, each educational content consisting of different educational topics, learning elements, and educational robots. The developed camp programs were applied to elementary school students who participated in an SW·AI camp organized by H University. Through statistical analysis of the students' changes in SW competency and satisfaction levels, it was found that there was a statistically significant increase all area. These findings are in line with the purpose of the study to suggest various SW·AI educational programs and suggest that the development of camp-style SW·AI educational programs using educational robots for various targets in the future can be aided by this research.
