A Study on the Psychological Counseling Experience of Mental Impaired Persons Under Probation

보호관찰 중인 정신장애자의 심리상담 경험에 관한 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the experience of subjective psychological counseling of the subject of probation, which is being implemented as a management plan for the mentally ill. In order to achieve this purpose, data were collected focusing on in-depth interviews and counseling records of 4 subjects receiving psychological counseling, and the collected data was analyzed by a case study method. The analyzed result was presented as the result of thematic analysis incorporating the experiences of the study participants. As a result of the integrated analysis, 17 subcategories and 5 themes were derived in relation to the psychological counseling experience of the subjects of probation. The five themes are'Looking for Life','Fear in the eyes of the world's people','Hardness to handle it alone','Where to look forward', and'From despair to hope'. Based on the results of this study, an action plan was proposed to prevent and manage the re-offenses of probation targets.

본 연구의 목적은 정신질환자 관리방안인 보호관찰을 받는 대상자의 심리상담 경험을 이해하기 위한 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 4명의 심리상담을 받는 대상자들의 심층 인터뷰와 상담 기록지를 중심으로 자료를 수집하였으며, 수집된 자료를 사례연구 방법으로 분석하였다. 분석된 결과는 연구참여자들의 경험을 통합한 주제분석 결과로 제시하였다. 통합 분석 결과 보호관찰 대상자들의 심리상담 경험과 관련하여 17개의 하위범주와 5개의 주제가 도출되었다. 5개의 주제는 '겉도는 삶', '세상 사람들의 눈이 두려움', '혼자서 감당하기 버거움', '기대고 싶은 의지처', '절망에서 희망으로'다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 보호관찰 대상자들의 재범을 예방하고 관리할 수 있도록 실천 방안을 제시하였다.
