A Comparative Study on the Integrated Database-based Record Formats

통합 데이터베이스기관 레코드 포맷의 비교 연구

Abstract

서지 정보를 기반으로 하는 MARC 포맷은 전세계 66개국에서 사용되고 있으며, 30여년 동안 변함 없이 각국의 도서관에서 정보시스템의 자리를 고수하고 있다. 그러나 최근 분산정보환경에서 도서관은 가장 빈번하게 요구되는 사실정보와 서지정보를 통합적으로 운영하는 통합 데이터베이스의 교환 포맷 개발이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구는 현재 전세계적으로 이용되고 있는 다양한 레코드 포맷의 이론적인 검토와 비교분석을 통하여 도서관에서 향후 확장해야 할 사실정보의 레코드 요소들을 추출하고 통합 데이터베이스 기반 상호교환 포맷에 관한 기초자료를 제시하였다.
