인공지능 기법에 의한 콘크리트 강도 추정 (Estimation of Concrete Strength Based on Artificial Intelligence Techniques)

  • 본 논문에서는 정확한 콘크리트 설계강도 분류를 위해 인공지능 기법에 바탕을 둔 증거축적방법에 의한 초음파신호의 패턴인식방법을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 우선 초음파신호의 특징파라메터로 분산, 영점교차횟수, 평균주파수, 자기회귀모델계수 및 선형 켑스트럼계수를 추출하였다. 추출된 특징파라메터들의 각각의 특성을 알아보고, 하나의 특징파라메터로 설계강도의 정확한 분류가 어렵다는 것을 보였다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 추출된 다수의 특징파라메터들을 이용하여 설계강도 분류를 증거축적방법을 통해 수행하였다. 또한, 이 증거축적방법을 콘크리트 패턴인식에 적용하기 위해 퍼지매핑 함수를 도입하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 알고리즘이 다수의 특징파라메터들을 효율적으로 이용하여 92%의 패턴인식률을 보였으며, 이는 기존의 패턴 분류 알고리즘보다 콘크리트 설계강도를 보다 정확하게 분류함을 확인하였다.

A Walsh-Based Distributed Associative Memory with Genetic Algorithm Maximization of Storage Capacity for Face Recognition

  • A Walsh function based associative memory is capable of storing m patterns in a single pattern storage space with Walsh encoding of each pattern. Furthermore, each stored pattern can be matched against the stored patterns extremely fast using algorithmic parallel processing. As such, this special type of memory is ideal for real-time processing of large scale information. However this incredible efficiency generates large amount of crosstalk between stored patterns that incurs mis-recognition. This crosstalk is a function of the set of different sequencies [number of zero crossings] of the Walsh function associated with each pattern to be stored. This sequency set is thus optimized in this paper to minimize mis-recognition, as well as to maximize memory saying. In this paper, this Walsh memory has been applied to the problem of face recognition, where PCA is applied to dimensionality reduction. The maximum Walsh spectral component and genetic algorithm (GA) are applied to determine the optimal Walsh function set to be associated with the data to be stored. The experimental results indicate that the proposed methods provide a novel and robust technology to achieve an error-free, real-time, and memory-saving recognition of large scale patterns.

MNG 단일셀 메타매질 부하를 갖는 삼중대역 폴디드 모노폴 안테나 설계 (Tri-Band Folded Monopole Antenna Design with MNG Single Cell Metamaterial Loading)

  • 본 논문에서는 MNR(Mu-negative) Metamaterial 단일 셀을 사용하여 700 MHz UHD 방송 대역과 2.45 GHz/5 GHz WiFi 대역에서 동작하는 삼중대역 폴디드 모노폴 안테나 설계에 관하여 연구하였다. MNG metamaterial 단일셀이 MZR(Mu zero resonator)에서 동작하도록 안테나 기판 뒷면에 커패시터를 형성하고, 스트립선로와 비아홀을 통해서 접지면과 연결하여 구현하였다. 이를 통해서 700 MHz대역에서 영차모드에서 공진하도록 공진점을 제어할 수 있고, 대역폭을 개선할 수 있다. 최종적으로 700 MHz UHD방송 대역과 2.45 GHz/5 GHz WiFi 대역에서 동작하는 안테나를 구현하였다. 설계 제작한 안테나의 크기는 $100{\times}100mm^2$이고, 실험 결과 첫 번째 공진점에서 10 dB 대역폭과 이득은 각각 309 MHz(41.2%), 5.298 dB이며, 두 번째 공진점에서 10 dB 대역폭과 이득은 각각 821.9 MHz(33.5%), 2.7840 dB이며, 세번째 공진점에서 10 dB 대역폭과 이득은 각각 1.1314 GHz(20.6%), 2.9484 dB의 결과를 확인하였다. 안테나의 공진주파수는 이론과 실험이 일치함을 확인하였다. 그리고 방사패턴은 대체적으로 전방향 특성을 가지고 있으며, 0.75 GHz와 2.45 GHz에서는 측면보다 전방향과 후방향으로 방사특성이 양호하며, 5.5 GHz에서는 다중로브를 갖는 방사패턴 특성을 확인하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to review and establish the three concepts of upcycling, zero-waste fashion design, and regional sustainability through a review of domestic and international case studies. Furthermore, it will provide the theoretical basis for using upcycling as a regional sustainability practice to create zero-waste fashion design. To conduct an empirical study, we systematized the stages of the survey on waste resources in Changsin-dong, the sourcing and utilization of waste resources, the design-planning stage, and the co-production with pattern and sewing masters as a suggested practice for regional sustainability. Through this study, we propose the possibility of regional sustainability by developing and sharing the method of zero-waste fashion design. The conclusion of the study as follows: First, upcycling fashion designs can be extended to a regional sustainability practice by taking the characteristics of social design into account. Second, by providing a design development process and methodology suitable for regional sustainability application, it is helpful to revitalize regional upcycling fashion brands and communities by providing data for upcycled fashion branding. Third, as part of the revitalization project for the Chang-shin and Soongin areas that started in 2014, using the region's economic, cultural, and environmental characteristics to make and sell high-value, upcycled fashion products will contribute to social and economic achievements and aid in solving regional problems.

운동중인 등방성 플라즈마 층으로 덮인 평면도체 슬랏 안테나의 복사특성 해석 (Analysis of the radiation characteristics from a slot antenna in a plane conductor covered with a moving isotropic plasma layer)

  • The radiation characteristics of a slot antenna in a plane conductor covered with a miving isotropic plasma layer are analyzed. The radiation null which causes distortion in radiation pattern is explainted by the zero of integrand in an asymptotic integral for radiation fields as a function of the plasma parameter and the plasma velocity. Numerical resutls for a radiation null calculated from various plasma and velocity parameters correspond to the results of two-dimensional problem.

  • We denote by ${{\mathcal{Q}}(A)}$ the set of all matrices with the same sign pattern as A. A matrix A has signed null-space provided there exists a set ${\mathcal{S}}$ of sign patterns such that the set of sign patterns of vectors in the null-space of ${\tilde{A}}$ is ${\mathcal{S}}$, for each ${\tilde{A}}{\in}{{\mathcal{Q}}(A)}$. Some properties of matrices with signed null-spaces are investigated.

  • Recently, low energy houses have become an essential issue globally and various subsidy programs are ongoing to penetrate. All-electric houses which are another type of low energy houses or zero carbon houses are being developed. These houses consider new & renewable energy and demand side management programs in the construction and the diffusion process because these programs are essential policies to use energy resources reasonably. This paper shows a simulation methodology to control home appliances in all-electric houses considering the electricity consumption pattern of residents. The simulation is a first step to estimate energy saving of the house in a practical manner.

Real-time Footstep Planning and Following for Navigation of Humanoid Robots

  • This paper proposes novel real-time footstep planning and following methods for the navigation of humanoid robots. A footstep command is defined by a walking direction and step lengths for footstep planning. The walking direction is determined by a uni-vector field navigation method, and the allowable yawing range caused by hardware limitation is considered. The lateral step length is determined to avoid collisions between the two legs while walking. The sagittal step length is modified by a binary search algorithm when collision occurs between the robot body and obstacles in a narrow space. If the robot body still collides with obstacles despite the modification of the sagittal step length, the lateral step length is shifted at the next footstep. For footstep following, a walking pattern generator based on a 3-D linear inverted pendulum model is utilized, which can generate modifiable walking patterns using the zero-moment point variation scheme. Therefore, it enables a humanoid robot to follow the footstep command planned for each footstep. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulation and experiment.

  • In recent, complex SVPWM (Space Vector PWM) algorithm can be easily implemented by high performance microprocessor and DSP. Various SVPWM techniques are widely studied due to the advantages of low harmonic distortion and high use ratio of D.C. link voltage. Most of various studies for improving of VS-PWM inverter performance are concentrated about switching pattern and zero pulse pattern split algorithms. However, dc link voltage that is determined at rated load and speed conditions is not proper in the low speed and under rated load. In this paper, analysis of current ripple with digitally implemented SVPWM inverter is introduced according to link voltage. The optimal link voltage in the designed inverter system and load condition is provided in order to suppress output voltage error and current ripple. As remaining the effective voltage vector interval per sampling period sufficiently, additional voltage error and current ripple are suppressed. The proposed algorithm is verified through digital simulation and experimental results.
