As a result, pretreatment method that the membrane filtration of plasma a diluted 1 to 100 fold acidified pH 3.5 was found to be the most suitable. The recoveris of monovalent cations in blood were yield 101%(Na$^{+}$). 102%(NH$^{+}_{4}$) and 101%(K$^{+}$) Determinations of divalent cations(Mg and Ca ions) in blood by Ion chromatography were summarized as followed conditions Separator Column : CS$_{3}$. Suppressor Column : CMMS. Eluent conen : 25m M-HCl/2mM-Histidine. Regenerant conen: 40mM-Ba(OH)$_{2}$.

  • To improve the flame retardant performance of cellulose fibers, fluorine functional groups were introduced under various controlled fluorination conditions. The properties of the fluorinated cellulose fibers were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and a thermogravimetric analysis. The fluorine functional group content in the fluorinated cellulose fibers increased with an increase in the fluorination temperature. However, the fluorination reaction increased the char yield and decreased the rate of degradation of the cellulose fibers by introducing donors, enabling the formation of a thick and compact char layer. Therefore, the flame retardant properties of cellulose fibers were improved following the fluorination treatment.

  • In this paper, we present a novel process for the realization of large area, low cost field emission cathodes. The process makes use of alumina substrates, which are anodically oxidized in order to yield porous structures capable of hosting metal catalyst nanoparticles. By carefully controlling the final stage of the anodisation as well as the electrodeposition conditions, it is possible to fine tune the density of such catalysts in the range of $10^8-10^9/cm^2$. The catalytic growth of CNTs is subsequently performed at low temperature (${\sim}\;600^{\circ}C$ or below, thanks to the use of $H_2O$), using plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition. There is no lithography need to make the cathode and current densities of ${\sim}\;1mA/cm^2$ are easily obtained.

  • [ ${\beta}-1,3-Glucan$ ] (curdlan) is a water-insoluble polysaccharide composed exclusively of ${\beta}-1,3\;linked$ glucose residues. Extracellular curdlan was mostly synthesized by Agrobacterium species and Alcaligenes faecalis under nitrogen-limiting conditions. In this study, we screened the microorganisms capable of producing extracellular curdlan from soil samples. For the first time, we reported Gram-positive bacterium Bacillus sp. SNC 107 capable of producing extracellular curdlan in appreciable amounts. The effect of different carbon sources on curdlan production was studied and found that the yield of curdlan was more when glucose was used as carbon source. It was also found that maximum production was achieved when the initial concentration of ammonium and phosphate in the medium was 0.5 and 1.9 g/L respectively. In this study the curdlan production was increased from 3 to 7g/L in shake flask cultures.

  • We fabricated primary and secondary seed grains. Primary seed grains having larger grain size were obtained under the conditions that were 2.0m/o BaCO$_3$ and 10 hours sintering. The amount of primary seed grain to yield the largest secondary seed grains were choosed as 3 w/o and we fabricated the low voltage varistors which were joined the low voltage-oriented ZnO varistor system made by conventional method with the secondary seed grains. As a result, ZnO varistor showed appoximately 10V/mm of nonlinear resistance and 15-22 of nonlinear exponent.

  • In the present study the glow discharge characteristics of $CO_2$ in a parallel plate electrode system were investigated, and the decomposition properties of $CO_2$ concerned with the discharge characteristics were discussed. The results show that $CO_2$ concentration decreases with increase in discharge power and decrease in gas pressure. The maximum conversion of $CO_2$ by glow discharge was 52% under the conditions of gas pressure, 10m Torr and 290W of discharge power.

  • Henequen fiber was air-stabilized, carbonized, and steam-activated to obtain high surface area activated henequen fiber (AHF). Thermal behavior of henequen fibers has been studied by TGA. The structural morphology and characteristics were observed by SEM and BET surface area measurement. The yield of AHF from natural henequen was in the range of 20~25 wt%. Mesopores (2~2.5 nm) were developed on the AHF as the activation temperature was raised up to $700^{\circ}C$, and the band of mesopore size distribution moved to 15~30 nm when the activation were carried out at $900^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. The specific surface area and the total pore volume were about $1394\;m^2/g$ and $1.30\;cm^3/g$, respectively at this activation conditions.

  • Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) reactor with sinsodual AC type of power supply is very widely adopted for its compact size and effective discharging mechanism to generate high density of ozone radicals. However, at the aspect of design on power supply, its optimal switching conditions and topology is achieved by empirical test. Therefore, throughout this paper, it is proposed a design method of DBD power supply to guarantee a maximum ozone yield rate in accordance with DBD reactor modification and impedance variation when rapid gas discharging in the DBD reactor is proceeded.

  • This study investigated the effects of galacomannans (guar gum, tara gum, and locust bean gum) on the rheological properties of buckwheat starch pastes under steady and dynamic shear conditions. The power law and Casson models were applied to describe the flow behavior of the buckwheat starch and galactomannan mixtures. The values of the apparent viscosity (${\eta}_{a,100}$), consistency index (K), and yield stress (${\sigma}_{oc}$) for buckwheat starch-galactomannan mixtures were significantly greater than those for the control, indicating that there was a high synergism of the starch with galactomannans. The magnitudes of storage modulus (G') and loss modulus (G") for the starch-galactomannan mixtures increased with increasing frequency (${\omega}$). The dynamic moduli (G', G"), and complex viscosity (${\eta}^*$) for the buckwheat starch-galactomannan mixtures were significantly higher than those for the control.

  • The effect of feed moisture contents (30%, 40%, and 50%) and screw speed (200 rpm, 250 rpm, and 300 rpm) on the corn fiber gum (CFG) yield and soluble arabinoxylans (SAX) content of destarched corn fiber was investigated. The CFG yields and SAX contents of extruded, destarched corn fiber were higher than that of destarched corn fiber. In extruded, destarched corn fiber, increased screw speed and decreased feed moisture contents resulted in a higher SAX contents. The maximum yields of CFG obtained from extruded, destarched corn fiber were $79.1{\pm}19.0g/kg$ (30% feed moisture content) and $82.3{\pm}11.30g/kg$ (300 rpm screw speed). The highest SAX content was also observed at a screw speed of 300 rpm. The results of the present study show that water extraction and extrusion combined have the potential to increase CFG and SAX yields from corn fiber.
