The Multiferroic Properties Study of YMn2-xFexO5 (x=0.00, 0.01) by Neutron Diffraction (고 분해능 중성자 회절 실험에 의한 YMn2-xFexO5 (x = 0.00, 0.01)의 다강체 특성 연구)

  • Compounds of multiferroic materials $YMn_{2-x}Fe_xO_5$ (x = 0.00, 0.01) were prepared using the sol-gel method. The crystallographic, magnetic and electric properties are studied using x-ray diffraction (XRD), neutron diffraction, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and physical property measurement system (PPMS). The crystalline structure of $YMn_2O_5$ was found to be orthorhombic (Pbam) at room temperature. The lattice constants of $YMn_2O_5$ were determined to be $a_0=7.275\;{\AA},\;b_0=8.487\;{\AA},\;c_0=5.674\;{\AA}$. The lattice constants not changed with Fe concentrations. Our data demonstrate the correlation of magnetic and electric properties in $YMn_2O_5$ materials.

  • Polycrystalline $CdS_{1-x}Se_{x}$ thin films were grown on ceramic substrate using a chemical bath deposition method. They were annealed at various temperature and X-ray diffraction patterns were measured by X-ray diffractometer in order to study $CdS_{1-x}Se_{x}$ polycrystal structure using extrapolation method of X-ray diffraction patterns for the CdS, CdSe samples annealed in $N_{2}$ gas at $550^{\circ}C$ it was found hexagonal structure which had the lattice constant $a_{0}=4.1364{\AA}$, $c_{0}=6.7129{\AA}$ in CdS and $a_{0}=4.3021{\AA}$, $c_{0}=7.0142{\AA}$ in CdSe, respectively. Hall effect on these samples was measured by Van der Pauw method and then studied on carrier density and mobility depending on temperature. We measured also spectral response, sensitivity(${\gamma}$), maximum allowable power dissipation and response time on these samples.

  • In this paper, I'd like to make a suggestion for boundary line detect algorithm which is used 3-D image processing system in order to track moving object. Through this study, more than anything else, difference image method was adopted to detect moving object in input image. To detect moving object, I made use of detect windows constructed by 4's predictive areas and object area for the purpose of reducing processing time and its size was determined by the size of moving object and prediction parameter directed center position. And also, tracking camera was movable toward the direction of X, Y by DC motor. As a conclusion of the study proposed algorithm, I found out the following results that tracking error was less than 6% of total moving object size and maximum tracking time 2 seconds by toy-car simulation.

  • The crystallographic and magnetic properties of $KFeO_2$ powder prepared by ball-mill method, have been studied by x-ray diffraction(XRD), $M\"{o}ssbauer$ spectroscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) measurements. The crystal structure of $KFeO_2$ powder at room temperature is determined to be an orthorhombic structure of Pbca with its lattice constants $a_0=5.557{\AA},\;b_0=11.227{\AA},\;c_0=15.890{\AA}$ by Rietveld refinement. $M\"{o}ssbauer$ spectra of $KFeO_2$ were taken at various temperatures ranging from 4.2 to 818 K. The magnetic hyperfine field and isomer shift value at 4.2 K and RT were 519 kOe, 489 kOe and 0.19 mm/s, 0.05 mm/s respectively. The average hyperfine field $H_{hf}(T)$ of the $KFeO_2$ shows a temperature dependence of $[H_{hf}(T)-H_{hf}(0)]/H_{hf}(0)=-0.36(T/T_N)^{5/2}$ for $T/T_N$<0.7, indicative of spin-wave excitation.

  • Imperatorin, 9-[(3-methyl-2-butenyl)oxy]-7H-furo[3,2-g][1]benzopyran-7-one의 분자 및 결정구조를 X-선 회절법으로 연구하였다. 이 결정의 분자식은 C16H14O4, 결정계는 삼사정계이고 공간군은 P이다. 단위포상수는 a=11.818(1) , b=11.906(1) , c=11.059(1) 이며, α=96.32(1)o, β=90.74(1)o, γ=64.88(1)o, V=13.993(2) 3, T=293 K, Z=4이다. 구조해석에 사용한 X-선은 CuKα선(λ=1.5418 )을 사용하였다. 구조는 직접법으로 풀었으며 최소자승법으로 정밀화하였다. 최종 신뢰도 R 값은 F0>4σ(F0)인 3951개의 독립회절데이타로 356개 파라메타에 대해 R=7.02%이다.

  • The purpose of this study verify to the effect of applying the X-ray screening ability rating for security screening persons in Incheon International Airport. Data collected through a evaluation score of 1,034 security screening persons in Incheon International Airport. Data analysis performed using paired sample t-test. The research results found that it was a statistically significant difference pre-test and post-test applying the X-ray screening ability rating. In this article, we asserts that the X-ray screening ability rating is effective in improving the X-ray screening ability of security screening persons. This paper contribute to the academic expansion of motivation theory and self-determination theory. This study is valuable as a preemptive empirical research that provides practical implications about the application of X-ray screening ability rating for security screening persons.

  • Polycrystalline $Cd_{1-x}Zn_{x}S$ thin film were grown on slide glass(corning-2948) substrate using a chemical bath deposition (C.B.D) method. They were annealed at various temperature and X -ray diffraction patterns were measured by X-ray diffractometor in order to study $Cd_{1-x}Zn_{x}S$ polycrystal structure using extrapolation method of X-ray diffraction patterns for the CdS, ZnS sample annealed in $N_{2}$ gas at $550^{\circ}C$. It was found hexagonal structure which had the lattice constant $a_{0}\;=\;4.1364{\AA}$, $c_{0}\;=\;6.7129{\AA}$ in CdS and $a_{0}\;=\;3.8062{\AA}$, $c_{0}\;=\;6.2681{\AA}$ in ZnS, respectively. Hall effect on these sample was measured by Van der Pauw method and then studied on carrier density and mobility depending on temperature. We measured also spectral response, sensitivity maximum allowable power dissipation and response time on these sample.

Crystal Structure of Lithium Heptaborate, $Li_3B_7O_12$ ($Li_3B_7O_12$의 결정구조)

  • Single crystals of lithium heptaborate, Li3B7O12(M=288.49), have been grown and their structure was determined by the x-ray powder diffraction and the single crystal diffraction technique. It is found that the borate anion consists of two(B3O7)3- and (B3O8)5- groups a unit cell. The space group was determined to be P-1(Ci1) with a=6.500(3) Å, b=7.839(2) Å, c=8.512(1) Å, α=92.07(2)˚, β=104.97(2)˚, γ=99.35(3)˚, V=412.0(2) Å3, Z=2 Dx=2.32 g cm-3, MoKα, λ=0.71069 Å, μ=2.15cm-1, T=293K. The structure was refined to R=0.0339 and wR=0.0882 for 2296 unique reflections by the single crystal diffraction. By the x-ray powder diffraction, we could obtain the similar results.

Structural, Optical, and Magnetic Properties of Si1-xMnxTe1.5 Single Crystals (Si1-xMnxTe1.5 단결정의 구조적, 광학적, 자기적 특성에 관한 연구)

  • We have investigated the Mn concentration-dependent structural, optical, magnetic properties in IV-VI diluted magnetic semiconductor $Si_{1-x}Mn_xTe_{1.5} $ crystals prepared by the vertical Bridgman technique. X-ray studies showed the single crystalline hexagonal crystal structure. From the optical absorption measurements energy band gap were found to decreases with increasing x and temperature. From the magnetization measurements the samples had ferromagnetic ordering with Curie temperature $T_C$ about 80 K. With increasing Mn concentration, the average magnetic moments per Mn atom determined from the saturated magnetization increased.

Study of Suitable Angle of Tibia-Foot and X-ray Tube for Navicular in Foot X-ray Examination (족부 X선 검사에서 주상골 관찰에 용이한 Tibia-Foot angle과 X-ray tube 각도에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine suitable angle of Tibia-foot and the X-ray tube for scaphoid in foot X-ray examination. A total of twenty patients(mean age $32.12{\pm}years)$ are participated in this study. In the positions of Foot AP, internal and external oblique, tibia-foot angle was defined as $90^{\circ}$ and $135^{\circ}$, and x-ray tube angle was defined as $0^{\circ}$, $5^{\circ}$, $10^{\circ}$, $15^{\circ}$ and $20^{\circ}$ respectively. The image quality was evaluated with blind test yielding scores ranging from 0 to 5 by the evaluation team consisted of 2 radiogical technologists, 2 radiologists, and 2 orthopedic surgeons. In case of Foot AP position, the degree of overlap between cuneiform and navicular was 3% and the blind test result was 4.89 at tibia-foot angle of $90^{\circ}$ and $15^{\circ}$ X-ray tube angle. When the tibia-foot angle is $135^{\circ}$, the degree of overlap was 5%, also the blind test result was 4.30 at $15^{\circ}$ X-ray tube angle. The degree of overlap and blind test result were 30% and 3.75 respectively at $0^{\circ}$ X-ray tube angle. In case of internal oblique position, at tibia-foot angle of $90^{\circ}$ and $0^{\circ}$ X-ray tube angle, the degree of overlap was 4% and the blind test result was 4.70. The 5% overlapping and highest score as 4.55 were obtained on tibia-foot angle of $135^{\circ}$ and $0^{\circ}$ X-ray tube angle. In case of external oblique position, at tibia-foot angle of $90^{\circ}$ and $15^{\circ}$ X-ray tube angle, the degree of overlap was 4% and the blind test score was 4.85. The 5% overlapping and highest score as 4.75 were obtained on tibia-foot angle of $135^{\circ}$ and $15^{\circ}$ X-ray tube angle. In conclusion, we confirmed suitable angle of tibia-foot and X-ray tube for scaph46oid in foot X-ray examination in this study. These findings will be helpful for us to reading for navicular fracture.
