In this paper a new approach of digitalized ‘Takbon’ is introduced. By image signal processing, the letters which were written on stones can be deciphered. Epigraphic letter is detected by digital image device, digital camera. The two dimensional digital image is preprocessed because of sensor noise and detective turbulence. Color image is transformed into grey level. The letter image is analyzed in time/frequency domain. By the resultant analysis data decisive functions are calculated. Signal Processing techniques, such as scaling, clipping, digital negative, high/low filter, morphology and so on, provide algorithms that can extract letter from stones.

Most of operating railways in domestic, it is used to be Wheel flange lubricator system applied liquid spray type. Wheel flange lubricator are reduced the abrasion of wheel flange through spraying in accordance with operating on the curve or operating function of time base and/or distance base. this paper is written to introduce and study the efficiency for the angular velocity sensing type of lubricant systems.

This paper presents the development of a microcomputer-aided design program for a digital control system. The program has been written in GWBASIC language which is suitable for Intel 8086II CPU with 640KB memory. By utilizing this program, sampling time, the number of bits A/D and D/A converter, and the stability for the digital control system carl be determined, To demonstrate the utility of this program, a microcomputer controlled precision temperature control system has been employed as an example.

This paper presents a formula that relates the optimal exercise boundaries of American call and put options on futures contract. It is shown that the geometric mean of the optimal exercise boundaries for call and put written on the same futures contract with the same exercise price is equal to the exercise price which is time invariant. The paper also investigates the properties of American calls and puts on futures contract.

In this paper, we propose efficient total recognition system of handwritten and printed numerals for enhancing the classification time. The proposed system consist two step neuroclassifier: Printed numerals classifier and Handwritten numerals classifier. The performance of the propose classifier was tested on 5000 handwritten numerals database of NIST and 100 printed numerals database. Recently the robot industry has developed quickly. There are robots carrying luggage at factories, the amusement robots (such as the pet-type robot) in the house, and so on. As the ability of computers improve, robot ability also improves, because mary calculations can be done in little time. Consequently robots can perform complex motions by various control methods. The robot in our laboratory was developed in order to assist various works in a hospital. We controlled our robot using PID control method. So this paper is written about PID control.

It hasn't been long time since English language was introduced in Korea. At the end of the 18th century the importance of the way of using English properly started to be recognized as Chosun (former country in Korean peninsula) began to conclude a treaty with foreign countries. A lot of Koreans could learn the western culture by the acquired knowledge of English. One of the main factors opening the secluded nation to the world was the member of missionary from outside of Korea. As the number of missionaries increased those who already came to Korea found the necessity of wiring a sort of guidebook of Korean language for the newly dispatched missionaries. The book $\ulcorner$Korean English Grammar$\lrcorner$(written by Horace Grant Underwood in 1890), was the first one that linguistically compared the part of speech and the clausal structures of Korean and English. The revised one of the same book was written by the son, Horace Horton Underwood, in 1914. The revised one newly included the phonetic aspect of Korean language. In this paper the phonetic part of the book will be considered carefully in order to find how recent phonetic methodology has been applied to account for the Korean phonetic features.

1999년 11월 공주대학교에서 열렸던 한국 제4기학회 제 26차 학술발표대회에 발표되었던 요약문과 논문들이 한글로 잘 쓰였는가 하는 점에 관심을 두고 훑어보았다. 원고 문장에는 일본말법 표현과 한문이나 영어 같은 외국 단어들과 외국 표현들과 너무 긴 문장들이 간간이 보인다. 또한 의미가 전달되지 않는 문장, 한자를 쓴 어려운 표현, 정확하지 않은 시제와 어법 따위들이 포함돼 있다. 좋은 한글원고를 쓰는 방법으로 교양과학책 독서와 한글 작문 연습을 제안한다. 한글작문연습에는 저자들이 시간 여유를 가지고 쓰고, 동료와 논의하고, 비판을 받아들일 마음을 연 자세들이 포함된다. 편집진들도 원고를 인쇄하기 전에 점검해야 한다.

시인이자 건축가였던 이상은 1920년대초 발표되었던 양자역학과 상대성이론의 현대물리학으로부터 지대한 영향을 받아 새로운 실험시를 발표하였으며, 이 실험시를 통해 현대 물리학이 밝혀낸 물질과 시공간에 대한 새로운 세계관을 보여주었다. 본 연구에서는 이상의 주된 텍스트인 "선에 관한 각서"를 중심으로 그의 세계관이 현대 디자인관과 어떠한 연관관계와 가치를 지니는지를 분석해 보았다. 분석 결과 이상은 그의 문학을 통해 현 시대의 사람들이 깨닫고 추구하게 된 절대적 가치와 이상(理想)에 대해 당시로서는 대단히 앞서간 원환론적 세계관과 우주와 나가 하나임을 증명하는 과학적 세계관을 추구하였음을 알게 되었다.
