The objective of this study is to calculate road user costs that caused by the expansion work of metropolitan arterial highway and to analyze the costs that affect economic feasibility evaluation. "Taerung~Guri IC" section of Bukbu Expressway was selected as a case study. As a result, it shows that these costs could be a factor for determining economic feasibility for some projects. However, decreased capacity and free-flow speed are seriously different as period, type, length and traffic volume of work zones. These factors that decrease traffic capacity and free-flow speed should be deeply researched in the future.

A lot study of convection heat transfer on internal flow has been extensively conducted in the past decades using of high specific surface area, increasing heat transfer coefficient, swirling flow and improving the transport properties. This study concerned with the application of a tangential slot swirl generator for improving heat transfer in a horizontal circular copper tube. The Al particles(about $100{\sim}130{\mu}m$) was employed for this experimental work. 3D PIV(particle image velocimetry) technique has employed to measure velocity profiles of Al particles with and without swirl flow. The copper tube is heated uniformly by winding of a heating coil for heat transfer work, having a resistance of 9 ohm per meter. Experiments are performed in the Reynolds number range of 6,800~12,100 with swirl and without swirl using Al particles. Experimental data for comparison of Nusselt number is presented that of with swirl and without swirl along the test tube for the Reynolds numbers. The Nusselt number is improved with increasing of Reynolds numbers or swirl intensities along the test tube. The Nusselt number with swirl flow is about 60.0% to 119.0% higher than that obtained by the Dittus-Boelter equation.
This study was conducted by L9 orthogonal array to obtain optimum spray parameters for This study was conducted by L9 orthogonal array to obtain optimum spray parameters for $Cr_3C_2 - 7wt%$(80wt%Ni-20wt%Cr) coating powder. The factors were hydrogen flow rate, oxygen flow rate, gun-to-work distance, powder feed rate. And evaluation methods for the coating were surface roughness, oxygen concentration, micro-hardness, pore size and distribution, low angle ($30^{\circ}$) erosion rate, and microstructure of coating. The optimum HVOF spray conditions were proved as follows : hydroen flow rate ; 681 SLPM, oxygen flow rate ; 215 SLPM $H^2/O^2 ratio= 3.16), gun-to-work distance ; 22cm, powder feed rate; 25g/min. The hardness (Hv300) was 1147 and the erosion rate ($30^{\circ}$degree) was $3.16\times10^{-4}$g/g. It is believed that the optimized spray conditions can be improved the wear-resistance and anti-erosion characteristics of the coating.

Flow phenomena such as the pressure transients Inside a high-speed railway tunnel and the Impulsive waves at the exit of the tunnel are closely associated with the characteristics of the entry compression wave, which is generated by a train entering the tunnel. Tunnel entrance hood may be an effective means for alleviating the Impulsive waves and pressure transients. The objective of the current work is to explore the effects of the train nose shape and the entrance hood on the characteristics of the entry compression wave. Numerical calculations using the method of characteristics were applied to one-dimensional, unsteady, compressible flow field with respect to high-speed railway/tunnel systems. Two types of the entrance hoods and various train nose shapes were employed to reveal their influences on the entry compression wave for a wide range of train speeds. The results showed that the entry compression wave length increases as the train nose becomes longer and the train speed becomes lower. The entry compression wave length in the tunnel with hood becomes longer than that of no hood. Maximum pressure gradient in the compression wavefront reduces by the entrance hood. The results of the current work provide useful data for the design of tunnel entrance hood.
A generation of a particle beam is the key technique in a flow cytometry that measures the fluorescence and light scattering of individual cell and other particulate or molecular analytes in biomedical research. Recent methods performing this function require a laborious and time-consuming assembly. In the present work, we propose a novel device for the generation of an axisymmetrical focusing beam of microparticles (3-D focusing) in a single capillary without sheath flows. This work uses the concept that the particles migrate toward the centerline of the channel when they lag behind the parabolic velocity profile. Particle focusing of spherical particles was successfully made with a beam diameter of about 10 ${\mu}$m. Proposed device provides crucial solutions for simple and innovative 3-D particle focusing method for the applications to the MEMS-based micro-flow cytometry. We believe that this device can be utilized in a wide variety of applications, such as biomedical/ biochemical engineering.

A combined thermal and flow analysis was carried out to study the behavior and performance of a small, commercial LTD (Low-Temperature-Differential) heat engine. Laminar-flow solutions for annulus and channel flows were employed to estimate the viscous drags on the piston and the displacer and the pressure difference across the displacer. Temperature correction factors were introduced to account for the departure from the ideal heat transfer processes. The analysis results indicate that the work required to overcome the viscous drags on engine moving parts and to move the displacer is much smaller than the moving-boundary work produced by the power piston for temperature differentials in the neighborhood of $20^{\circ}C$ and engine speeds below 10 RPS. A comparison with experimental data reveals large degradations from the ideal heat transfer processes. Thus, heat-transfer devices inside the displacer cylinder are recommended.

The present work aims to report the consequences of Darcy-Forchheimer medium in flow of Cross fluid model toward a stretched surface. Flow in porous space is categorized by Darcy-Forchheimer medium. Further heat transfer characteristics are examined via thermal radiation and heat generation/absorption. Transformation procedure is used. The arising system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations is solved numerically by means of shooting method. The effects of different flow variables on velocity, temperature, concentration, skin friction, and heat transfer rate are discussed. The obtained outcomes show that velocity was enhanced with the increase in the Weissenberg number but decays with increase in the porosity parameter and Hartman number. Temperature field is boosted by thermal radiation and heat generation; however, it decays with the increase in the Prandtl number.

The prominence of IoTs (Internet of Things) and exponential advancement of computer networks has resulted in massive essential applications. Recognizing various cyber-attacks or anomalies in networks and establishing effective intrusion recognition systems are becoming increasingly vital to current security. MLTs (Machine Learning Techniques) can be developed for such data-driven intelligent recognition systems. Researchers have employed a TFDNNs (Tensor Flow Deep Neural Networks) and DCNNs (Deep Convolution Neural Networks) to recognize pirated software and malwares efficiently. However, tuning the amount of neurons in multiple layers with activation functions leads to learning error rates, degrading classifier's reliability. HTFDNNs ( Hybrid tensor flow DNNs) and MRNs (Modified Residual Networks) or Resnet CNNs were presented to recognize software piracy and malwares. This study proposes HTFDNNs to identify stolen software starting with plagiarized source codes. This work uses Tokens and weights for filtering noises while focusing on token's for identifying source code thefts. DLTs (Deep learning techniques) are then used to detect plagiarized sources. Data from Google Code Jam is used for finding software piracy. MRNs visualize colour images for identifying harms in networks using IoTs. Malware samples of Maling dataset is used for tests in this work.
The estimation of the work of heart can be treated as one of the most important parameters for determining the amount of circulating blood needed for harmonious metabolism in the human body. By monitoring the work of heart, one can detect increased work load of heart and start the treatment at the early stage of CHF. Thus it is necessary to estimate the work of heart. The contractility of the left ventricle, the second important parameter for representing the motion of heart, can be estimated through information on the work of heart. In this study, the modified Windkessel model, which has been used for a measure of vascular hemodynamic impedance parameters, was adapted to estimate the work of heart.
