본 연구는 해외에서 중소기업을 운영하고 있는 한상 여성 기업인이 어떤 한국적 경쟁우위를 바탕으로 사업을 성공적으로 수행 할 수 있었는지 탐색하기 위해 호주 여성 한상 중소기업을 대상으로 그 요인들을 규명하고자 하였다. 사례 대상 기업은 호주에 소재한 2개의 기업으로 시드니에 본사를 둔 청소용역업체인 "제마이홀딩스"와 호주 전역에 27개의 체인점을 둔 스시레스토랑 "스시베이"이다. 적용 이론으로 마이클포터의 다이아몬드 모델을 선택하여 두 기업에 대한 경쟁우위를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 경쟁우위 요소는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 가족기업으로서 여성 CEO의 탁월한 동적역량이다. 변화 환경에의 탁월한 적응능력, 여성으로서의 섬세한 경영, 엄마와 같은 감성적 리더십, 솔선수범 정신 등이 그것이다. 둘째, 한국특유의 문화에 기반한 성실과 근면, can-do 정신, 규율, 인내 그리고 빠른 실행력을 들 수 있다. 그리고 한인 기업인들의 이주자라는 사회적 지위는 그 사회에서 열세로 작용하지만 그러한 이주자의 특성을 살려 이주자사회와의 연대를 적극 활용하였다는 점도 발견할 수 있었다.

The study, "a semiotic analysis on 1930′s costume", is based on semiotic theory which analyze the meaning of signs. In the novels, "흙" and "삼대", character′s costume were used as a visual language that implies massages of character′s status, class, and the view of value. Analyzing the meaning of clothing signs, clothing could deliver the people′s informations to others and could be first things when people accept new value. The object of the studies are the novels, Hulk(흙) and Samdae(삼대) which are written by lee, Kwang-Soo and Yeom, Sang-Seob. In the novels, the social structure is classed as modern and traditional after we accept the western cultures and institutions. The traditional clothing, Han Bok, were dressed by the conservative woman. However, we could find the modernized woman dress with the western dress and the modified traditional style. According to the result of the research, we could find that clothing could be a sign which indicates value and also clothing is one of the first thing to change when people acquired new value.

Five strongest crimes against women has rapidly increased recently, and women' anxiety is also increasing. Especially, women who reside alone in houses show significantly high anxiety. Such social change is increasing necessity of applying CPTED to housing environment of a single woman household. However, there have been less than enough number of researches on application on CPTED to housing environment of single woman household. So, this study would like to suggest housing environment of single woman household through CPTED guideline. With respect to research method, this study surveyed single woman households in their twenties and thirties who reside at single houses in Gwanak Gu, Gangnam Gu, Songpa Gu, and Mapo Gu in Seoul about necessity of CPTED guideline. Based on the survey results, this study conducted frequency analysis and descriptive statistics; and conducted independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Scheffe's posteriori test, according to demographic characteristics. As a result, differences in the contents of CPTED guideline by the demographic characteristics turned out to be small, generally. Thus, I concluded that suggestion for housing environment according to characteristics is not necessary. Instead, I would suggest contents of CPTED guideline that gained more than 4 points for housing environment. Research results of this study are as follow. First, 'Securing view of inside and outside of the house and controlling access' should be applied to housing environment of single woman households in their twenties and thirties residing in single houses in Seoul. Second, 'Securing view of an alley and improving walking space' should be applied. Third, 'installing CCTV and emergency bell' should be applied. Fourth, 'reinforcing territoriality of space' should be applied.

The purpose of this study is to report the effects of Korean medicine treatment, especially herbal medicine on vaginitis in menopausal woman. The patient suffered from vaginitis was treated with herbal medicine such as Yongdamsagan-tang and Jibaekjihwang-tang. The effect of treatment was evaluated through questionnaire. After treatment, symptoms of vaginitis were reduced. This case report shows that herbal medicine treatment may be effective for vaginitis.

Tanycytic ependymoma is a rare variant of ependymoma that commonly affects the cervical and thoracic spinal cord. It usually arises as intramedullary lesions, and extramedullary cases are extremely rare. We report a case of a 44-year-old woman who was diagnosed with tanycytic ependymoma in her lumbar spine at level 2-3. The tumor mass developed in an intradural extramedullary location. Histopathologically, tanycytic ependymoma can be misdiagnosed as schwannoma or pilocytic astrocytoma. Immunohistochemical findings such as strong positivity for glial fibrillary acidic protein, perinuclear dot-like positive patterns for epithelial membrane antigen, and focal positivity for S100 protein are helpful in diagnosing tanycytic ependymoma. It is important to be aware of this rare tumor to ensure appropriate patient management and accurate prognosis.

A 69 year-old woman was admitted with sudden left facial weakness. She had no other neurologic deficit, except for left peripheral type facial palsy. She had a presumptive diagnosis of Bell's palsy. The blink test was indicative of left facial neuropathy due to left medullary lesion. Diffusion weighted (DWI) brain MRI demonstrated high signal signal lesion in left dorsolateral ponto-medullary junction. Apperant diffusion coefficient (ADC) brain MRI showed low signal lesion in the same area. We present an unusual case of ipsilateral peripheral facial palsy in dosolateral ponto-medullary infarction without other neurologic deficits.

Objectives: This study aimed to report a case of alcoholic hepatitis with megaloblastic anemia that improved with Korean medicine treatment. Methods: A 27-year-old woman with alcoholic hepatitis and megaloblastic anemia was treated with herbal medicine, acupuncture, and moxibustion. The responses before and after treatment were evaluated using blood tests, ultrasound imaging, the Checklist Individual Strength (CIS), and the numerical rating scale (NRS). Results: Post-treatment, blood tests showed improved liver function test, lipid test, and anemia work-up. Ultrasound imaging showed improvement in the superoinferior diameter of right lobe, from 13.02 to 11.09, and the fatty liver improved. The CIS score decreased from 107 to 55. Fatigue diminished from NRS 10 to NRS 3, and dizziness dropped from NRS 5 to NRS 1. The abdominal distension slightly decreased, from NRS 7 to NRS 5. Conclusion: Korean medicine treatment might be effective for treating alcoholic hepatitis with megaloblastic anemia.

A benign pulmonary metastasizing leiomyoma is a recognized clinical entity that has been infrequently reported in the medical literature. We report two cases of a benign pulmonary metastasizing leiomyoma. A 35-year-old woman who underwent myomectomy and a cesarean section approximately 6 years earlier visited our hospital for further evaluation of incidentally revealed multiple lung nodules. A diagnostic percutaneuous biopsy was performed. Finally she was diagnosed with a benign metastasizing leiomyoma. The patient then received LH-RH and has been followed up since. The other 44-year-old woman presented after an initial radiology evaluation revealed the presence of multiple, small-sized lung nodules. She underwent a right middle lung wedge resection to confirm the diagnosis. Finally she diagnosed with a benign metastasizing leiomyoma. The multiple lung nodules have been followed up closely.

Intraneural ganglia in the upper extremity are rare, and the involvement of the digital nerve of hand has not been reported. The following case report demonstrates a 57-year-old woman with a symptomatic nodular mass on the thenar area of the left hand. Magnetic resonance images showed a lobulated, homogeneous mass of high signal intensity on T2-weighted images and low signal intensity with peripheral enhancement on T1-weighted images. Excisional biopsy and histopathologic examination revealed an intraneural ganglion of the digital nerve of the thumb. Her symptom disappeared immediately after the surgery, and has remained free of abnormal sensation and parestheia for the 3-year follow-up period.

일반계(30품종) 및 다수계(22품종) 쌀가루의 알카리 호화에 대하여 조사하였다. 쌀가루의 0.2N NaOH에 대하여 품종마다 독특한 점도 증가현상을 보였다. 다수계는 일반계에 비하여 높은 점도를 보였으며, 호화가 용이하였다. 점도 증가속도는 단백질과 아밀로스함량과는 상관을 보이지 않았다. 다수계 품종의 점도 증가 속도는 쌀의 수분 흡수 속도와 정의 상관을 보였다.
