  • Typical wireless sensor networks used in structural monitoring are continuous types wherein data transmission is progressive at all time that may include irrelevant and insignificant data and information. Continuous types of wireless monitoring systems often pose problems of handling large-sized data that may deteriorate the performance of the system. The proposed method is to suggest an event-triggered monitoring system that captures and transmits relevant data only. An error signal generated by the Principal Components Analysis (PCA) is utilized as an index for event detection and selective data transmission. With this new monitoring scheme, the remote server is relieved of unwanted data by receiving only relevant information from the wireless sensor networks. The performance of the proposed scheme was verified with simulation studies.

  • In recent years, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) assisted mobile free space optical (FSO) communication technique has attracted considerable attention regarding its aims to provide improved communication conditions for fixed-to-fixed FSO network and promising fronthaul and backhaul solutions for 5G+ wireless networks. This can be attributed to its outstanding advantages such as fast deployment and flexible network configuration. The UAV-assisted mobile FSO system can be used to provide cost-effective internet services in rural and remote areas and in hotspot areas that are characterized by increased data traffic. Additionally, it can be used to provide secure communication services under emergency circumstances. In this report, we review recent R&D trends in wireless network technology employing the UAV-assisted mobile FSO technique and key technologies for mobile FSO wireless networks. Furthermore, we introduce drone-based mobile FSO terminals and control systems that we have developed.

  • In this paper, a real-time multi-source sensor data management system based on wireless sensor network is proposed and implemented. The proposed management system is designed to transmit the wireless data to the server in order to monitor and control the multi-source target's status efficiently by analyzing them. The proposed system is implemented to make it possible to control and transmit the wireless sensor data by classifying them, of which data are issued from the clustered sources composed of a number of the remote multiple sensors. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed system, we measure and analyze both the transmission delay time according to the distance and the data loss rate issued from multiple data sources. From these results, it is verified that the proposed system has a good performance.

  • A current trend in telecommunication is the convergence of wireless communication and computer network technologies, and the emergence of wireless application protocol(WAP) devices is an example. Computer system managers are often requested to solve urgent system problems. Many times, they cannot access a computer to perform remote system management tasks. Aiming at solving this problem, this paper presents a novel tool for system management that uses a WAP interface, and focuses on the description of the architecture and the associated application modules.

  • In wireless access networks, it is extremely important to provide high quality of real time and interactive services, including voice and video traffic. Furthermore, low latency communication is shifting toward new paradigm which enhances user's high quality of experience, meeting the requirements for specific applications such as tactile internet, remote-control robot and machines, and mission critical application. In this paper, we introduce the approaches to achieve the extremely low latency service. The approaches include the core requirements and the key technologies providing low latency communication maintaining high reliability in wireless access networks.

  • In this paper. we offer a new monitoring system that controls all of the windfar. it can also apply use general wind turbine systems and real meteorological tower. We propose a hierarchical releiable monitoring system connected by wireless communication channels between monitoring host computer and modular slave measuring subsystems. Our system has two hierarchical subsystems: slave measuring systems, and supervisory host computer. We design and implement that the slave measuring subsystems is placed in meteorological tower and wind turbines, and the supervisory host computer in safety zone, The micro-controller in slave measuring system is duplicated using cold-standby method for reliability. The host computer and slave system constructs a feedback system, with wireless communication channel between them. For monitoring and command function, the supervisory computer is implemented with a Personal Computer using graphic user interface. Consequently. we can get a reliable but economic system.

  • It is evident that advancement of ubiquitous technologies in the near future guarantees more convenient and plentiful living. With regarding to car life, we dream of an automatic driving without any effort of operation. This paper touches the realization issue, a convergence of wireless sensor network and Telematics specializing on an information routing mechanism between participating components in Telematics sensor communication network. We list up new requirements of wireless sensor network deployed for Telematics services. Then context-aware routing architecture is proposed in order to solve these constraints, in which a network topology for routing can be dynamically configured according to the combination of context models of network components.

  • KT will deploy HSPA+/CCC network in this year to handle data explosion. CCC is an evolutionary wireless network architecture which divides a node B into baseband and radio part. By collecting baseband units in a digital unit central station and installing only remote units on desired sites, the operator can reduce the total cost of ownership and $CO_2$ emission. In this paper, we describe some expected problems in deploying HSPA+/CCC network, and how to implement the wireless network planning system to solve them effectively.
