A Study on Quality Verification Techniques of Bus Information System (버스정보시스템의 품질평가 기법 연구)

  • The objective of Bus Information System developed as a part of the ITS, provides the operation information of buses to passengers and managers. The system uses roadside antennas (reading electronic tags on board buses) to enable wireless communication each other and radio data communication to deliver information about buses and their locations. This information is used to estimate the arrival time of the bus which will be shown on the bus stop message board or via internet. Bus Information System or Bus Management System (BMS) is going ahead and set up in many local governments, and recently quality improvement of the BIS is considered as a very important element in expanding of business or management. Therefore this research wished to contribute rationalization of the system by maintaining optimum quality. An gang was chosen to apply overall quality control process and will be evaluated in terns of its propriety and performance. This study has led the improvement of service and promote the use of public transits, which is the best way to solve the city traffic problem by effective management of public transits.

A Efficient Cloaking Region Creation Scheme using Hilbert Curves in Distributed Grid Environment (분산 그리드 환경에서 힐버트 커브를 이용한 효율적인 Cloaking 영역 설정 기법)

  • Recent development in wireless communication and mobile positioning technologies makes Location-Based Services (LBSs) popular. However, because, in the LBSs, users request a query to database servers by using their exact locations, the location information of the users can be misused by adversaries. Therefore, a mechanism for users' privacy protection is required for the safe use of LBSs by mobile users. For this, we, in this paper, propose a efficient cloaking region creation scheme using Hilbert curves in distributed grid environment, so as to protect users' privacy in LBSs. The proposed scheme generates a minimum cloaking region by analyzing the characteristic of a Hilbert curve and computing the Hilbert curve values of neighboring cells based on it, so that we may create a cloaking region to satisfy K-anonymity. In addition, to reduce network communication cost, we make use of a distributed hash table structure, called Chord. Finally, we show from our performance analysis that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing grid-based cloaking method.

  • In this paper we have evaluated the degree of performance improvement in Multi-Carrier CDMA system adopting CCI canceller against MUI under mobile channel coexisting MU which is a major interference degrading the performance of Multi-carrier CDMA system. As a result of analysis, BER performance was improved by adopting CCI canceller and it was found that the amount of performance improvement was largely increased as Eb/No became higher. As an example, in case that data service BER = 10$^{-5}$ must be achieved with $E_{b/}$ $N_{o}$ = 12 ㏈, 4 users could be supported without CCI canceller while 30 users could be supported with CCI canceller, Also, we found that performance improving effect of 5$\times$10$^{-3}$ in a point of view BER could be achieved by adopting CCI canceller with fixed $E_{b/}$ $N_{o}$. o/. o/.

  • Since IoT is expected to enable hyper-connected society to be realized with the advent of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution, many advanced foreign countries as well as United Kingdom identified IoT spectrum policy as one of the first priority in spectrum management in order to cope with the frequency demands required for the promotion of IoT service. In Korea, the frequencies of 110 MHz bandwidth has been also supplied additionaly for IoT in July 2016 in order to activate a promising new IoT industry based on wireless communication, which has great potential for future industrial growth. Therefore, in this paper, we propose spectrum policy and the research and innovation trends on IoT to promote IoT industry by analyzing the major communication network, the key challenge technologies and the spectrum policy framework of foreign countries.

Efficient Packet Transmission Utilizing Vertical Handover in IoT Environment (IoT 환경에서 수직 핸드오버를 활용한 효율적인 패킷 전송)

  • The Internet of Things (IoT) has recently been showered with much attention worldwide. Various kinds of devices, communicating with each other in the IoT, demand multiple communication technologies to coexist. In this environment, mobile devices may utilize the vertical handover between different wireless radio interfaces such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, for efficient data transfer. In this paper, an IoT broker is implemented to support the vertical handover, which can also support and manage heterogeneous devices and communication interfaces. The handover is activated based on RSSI, Link Quality values, and real time traffic. The experimental results show that the proposed handover system substantially improves QoS in Bluetooth and reduces power consumption in mobile devices as compared with a system using only Wi-Fi.

  • Real-Time Enterprise (RTE)'s key requirement is that it should respond and adapt fast to the change of the firms' internal and external situations including the change of market and customers' needs. Recently, the big data processing technology to support the speedy change of the firms is spotlighted. Under the circumstances that wire and wireless communication networks are evolving with an accelerated rate, it is especially critical to provide a strong security monitoring function and stable services through a real-time processing of massive communication data traffic. By applying the big data processing technology based on a cloud computing architecture, this paper solves the managerial problems of telecommunication service providers and discusses how to operate the network management system effectively.

  • Dedicated Short Range Communications(DSRC) as a prominent communications candidate for Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) have been developed to support ITS applications such as value-added information service, e-commerce, electronic toll payment, etc. These various applications associated with electronic payment through unsecure communication channel of DSRC suffer from security threats. To ensure secure payment, we have adopted appropriate cryptographic mechanisms including encipherment, authentication exchange and digital signature. The cryptographic mechanisms require to use cryptographic keys established between two communication entities. In this paper, we propose a secure electronic payment system which is designed to have some functions for strong authentication, encryption, key agreement, etc. Especially, we adopt domestic developed cryptographic algorithms such as EC-KCDSA and SEED for digital signature and block cipher, respectively. We can show those mechanisms are appropriate for the secure electronic payment system for ITS services under the DSRC wireless environment in aspects of constrained computational resource use and processing speed.

  • Using the ETC Service, it is now possible to charge a vehicle for driving pass a specific toll booth electronically, without the vehicle even having to slow down. The smart card and card reader used to collect tolls electronically have a serious problem which it dose not have a standard for the ETC system. In this paper, we suggest the ETC system using mobile phone to collect tolls efficiently instead of existing system which is consist of a Interface Module to connect between a mobile phone and OEE, a mobile phone to send the information of tollgate fees and OEE to communication with RSE of roadway in the vehicle. This primary focus of this system is the IM functions and protocol to assist of the existing mobile phone and OBE.

In this paper, implementation of Fast XML encoding system through introduction Fast Infoset algorithm and Fast Schema algorithm for web services increase performance.

  • This study analyzes the issue of the supply of force of fire in the high-rise buildings, and proposes an efficient method to do so. The results are as follows. First, in terms of Detect fire, it is necessary to shorten force of fire supply time by diversifying fire alarms such as alarms, vibrations, and voices from outside, clarification of fire occurrence points, and marking of fire. Second, with regard to communication signals, strengthening the installation target of wireless communication auxiliary facilities, supplementing the installation of repeaters, and constructing a multicommunications network were proposed. Third, in terms of Decide action, it is necessary to supply firefighter and firefighting equipment with the method of crossing of a river in adjacent buildings. Fourth, in terms of Respond to site, helicopters and emergency elevators are used to assist in the supply of firefighting equipment using drones. Easy-to-break glass windows and identification marks are required in every floor. Finally, in terms of applying fire suppressants, water can be supplied by means of a helicopter adjacent to the structure.
