Application of Reverse Engineering System for Improvement of Curl Distortion in Stereolithography Process (광조형 공정시 휨에 의한 변형을 개선하기 위한 역설계 시스템의 적용)

  • The slender device(long length and thin width) manufactured by stereolithography process suffers from large curl distortion. This paper adapts two control parameters such as a critical exposure and a penetration depth. The measurement of the test parts dimension are carried out by reverse engineering method with the optical 3-dimensional measurement equipment. We investigate how each parameter contributes to the part accuracy and estimates the optimal set of parameters which minimizes the dimensional error of the test parts. Finally, As being an the RAM slot as being an example of the slender device, the RAM slot is made with the optimal values of control parameter and the results are investigated

  • MCU(Micro Controller Unit) used for the automobiles has been required for improving of the safety and high reliability. Also, the necessity of high performance MCU equipped with high fuel-efficiency has been risen according to increased requests of high fuel-efficiency and improving the occupants safety with the development of intelligent vehicles and future vehicles. The MPC5554 32-bit embedded controller, made by Freescale Semiconductor, specialized in the part of the power train provides the high reliability, fast interrupt process and real-time control. In This paper, the investigation on IPMSM using MPC5554 has been performed. Also SVPWM(Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation) is implemented to the servo system.

  • For the commercialization of the urban maglev, an articulated turnout which consists of several segments of turnout girders and where switching is done by rotating those segments is under development. In this paper, to determine the alignment of this articulated turnout, the requirements for the alignement are analyzed. Requirements include: those for the levitation control and for the ride comfort. For the levitation control, rail joint width should be limited to a certain value, and for the ride comfort, the lateral acceleration and the time derivative of the lateral acceleration satisfy a guideline. According to these requirements, the alignment criteria are discussed.

  • Recently the styrofoam has been used fur material of press die pattern. The object of this research is to develope an automated laser system for manufacture of press die pattern which depends chiefly on handwork during its process. After converting 3-D CAD model into cross-sectional shape information, the unnecessary part of the section is vapored away by laser. The depth and width of cut are mainly under the control of laser power and beam feed rate. The optimum manufacturing conditions are obtained by preliminary experiments. It is necessary fur precise styrofoam pattern manufacturing to develope laser system which has sufficient motion accuracy and program or beam path generation and automatic control of this system.

  • CFRD (Concrete Faced Rockfill Dam) face slab concrete has a much capability to occur crack due to drying shrinkage, hydration heat and bas compaction etc. Because of crack of concrete induce structural problem and decrease durability of concrete, it is need to reduce crack of concrete. This is an experimental study to analyze the Control Property of Plastic Shrinkage Crack for CFRD face slab concrete. For this purpose, it was investigated and analyzed the engineering properties of plain concrete and using admixtures (polypropylene fiber, fly-ash) according to test result As the result, it was found that crack width and area of concrete using admixtures less than of plain concrete.

  • As inexhaustible clean energy, solar energy will be the most ideal green energy in the 21st century. The effective method to convert solar energy into electrical energy is by solar photovoltaic power generation technologies. LED Emitting Diode is a kind of component which can transform electricity into visible light. As the smart current control system for photovoltaic street lights, the proposed system has improved the battery charging and discharging mechanism to extend the lifespan and effectively controls the LED discharge current according to battery charge state and lighting.

  • A parallel-resonant converter with zero-voltage-switching, pulse-width-modulation(ZVS-PWM) control is proposed. Similar to the previously proposed series-resonant counterpart, it has a simple structure and can be controlled at a constant switching frequency using an active-clamp technique. The nearly constant current output characteristic of the parallel-resonant converter lends itself beneficially to precisely controlled constant current power supply applications. An experimental breadboard featured an accuracy of $\pm$1% for an output current of 2A, with an efficiency of 75%.

  • Much attention has been given to EMI effects created in variable speed ac drive system. Zero switching states of inverter control invoke large common mode voltage. This paper focuses on the switching techniques to mitigate common mode voltage. This paper proposes a common-mode voltage reduction method based on sinusoidal pulse width modulation in three phase PWM inverter system. By using three carriers wave displaced by 120 degrees, it is possible to eliminate a common mode voltage pulse In one control period. Simulation and experimental results show that common mode voltages In the proposed technique are reduced more than conventional technique.

  • The module UPS can flexibly implement expansion of power system capacities. Furthermore, it can be used to build up the parallel redundant system to improve the reliability of power system operation. To realize the module UPS, load sharing without interconnection among parallel connecting modules as well as a small scale and lightweight topology is necessary. In this paper, the three-arm converter/inverter is compared with the general full-bridge and half-bridge topology from a practical point of view and chosen as the module UPS topology. The switching control approaches based on a pulse width modulation of the converter and inverter of the system are presented independently The frequency and voltage droop method is applied to parallel operation control to achieve load sharing. Two prototype 3kVA modules are designed and implemented to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approaches. Experimental results show that the three-arm UPS system has a high power factor, a low distortion of output voltage and input current, and good load sharing characteristic.

  • This paper presents a single-phase five-level inverter controlled by two novel pulse width modulation (PWM) switching techniques. The proposed PWM techniques are designed based on minimum switching power loss and minimum total harmonic distortion (THD). In a single-phase five-level inverter employing six switches, the first proposed PWM technique requires four switches to operate at switching frequency and two other switches to operate at line frequency. The second proposed PWM technique requires only two switches to operate at switching frequency and the rest of the switches to operate at line frequency. Compared with conventional PWM techniques for single-phase five-level inverters, the proposed PWM techniques offer high efficiency and low harmonic components in the output voltage. The validity of the proposed PWM switching techniques in controlling single-phase five-level inverters to regulate load voltage is verified experimentally using a 100 V, 500 W laboratory prototype controlled by dspace 1103.
