습윤 모래에서 인장강도의 예측 (I) : 이론 (Prediction of Tensile Strength of Wet Sand (I) : Theory)

  • 낮은 응력 단계에서 모래의 인장강도는 포화도 또는 흡입력에 따라 증가하다. 최대값에 도달한 후 감소한다. 최대인 장강도는 어느 포화도에서든 발생될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 습윤 모래의 인장강도를 정확히 예측할 수 있는 이론이 제시되었다. 이 이론은 닫힌 형태의 식으로 pendular, funicular, capillary 세 가지로 구분되는 함수특성곡선 전체 영역을 하나로 통일하여 표현하였다. 낮은 응력 단계에서 내부마찰각 ${\phi}_t$, 공기침투압(air entry pressure)의 역수값 ${\alpha}$, 간극크기범위변수(pore size spectrum parameter) n 등 세 가지 변수가 이론에 사용되었다. 공기침투압 역수값이 최대인장강도를 지배하는 주 요인으로 작용하고, 최대인장강도가 발생될 때 포화도는 오직 간극크기범위변수에만 의존한다.

  • This study deals with the effect on performance of epoxy resign mortar mixed special cement for surface control and maintenance of aging concrete construction. The test of main property of epoxy resign in this study are the evaluation on the adhesive strength between substrate and epoxy resign mortar under the environment of wet or concrete substrate surface. We gained the test results of good adhesive strength over 15 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ under the wet and dry condition of concrete surface.

국내산 닥 줌치한지의 물리적 성질 -줌치치기 시간, 초지기법, 합지 수에 따른 강도 차이- (The Physical Properties of Handmade Jumchi-Hanji Made with Korea Paper Mulberry)

  • This study examined the effects of the number of Dakji layer (a layer, two layers), the time of Jumchichigi (20, 40 and 60 minutes) and the type of Choji method making Dakji (Oebal-teugi, Ssangbal-teugi) on five strength properties of Jumchi-Hanji. As a result, the number of Dakji layer and the time of Jumchichigi influenced the five strength properties (tensile, wet tensile, tearing, bursting, and folding strengths). Jumchi-Hanjis made with two layers of Dakijis had higher properties than Jumchi-Hanjis with a layer of Dakji in the strength properties. The more the time for Jumchichigi is spent, the more the five strength properties of Jumchi-Hanji increased. The type of Choji was related to only three strength properties. The tearing strength of Jumchi-Hanjis with one and two layers, and the wet tensile and the folding strengths of Jumchi-Hanjis with two layers depended on the type of Choji. The differences of Jumchi-Hanji and Dakji were also identified in the strength properties. All Jumchi-Hanjis had low tensile and wet tensile strengths when compared to Dakjis. However, Jumchi-Hanjis, made by sixty minute Jumchchigi, had generally higher tearing, bursting, and folding strengths than the Dakjis. In conclusion, the strength properties of Jumchi-Hanji could be improved by controlling the number of Dakji layers and the time of Jumchichigi.

Acid Group이 도입된 Casting 폴리우레탄 탄성체의 접착 및 기계적 물성에 관한 연구 (Studies on Adhesion and Mechanical Properties of Casting Polyurethane Elastomer with Acid Groups)

  • Acid group을 도입하여 접착 및 그립성이 향상된 casting 폴리우레탄을 합성하였다. 폴리우레탄의 그립 특성 및 접착 특성을 확인하였고, 접촉각 및 인장강도, 기계적 물성 등을 연구하였다. Acid 함량에 따른 특성들을 조사하기 위해 acid 함량별로 경화제를 제조하여 각각의 특성들을 연구하였다. Acid group을 도입함으로써 접착력 및 wet slip이 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며, 인장강도 및 마모 등 기계적 물성 또한 증가하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. Acid 함량별로 물성을 측정한 결과 일정한 함량까지 기계적 물성은 증가하며, 일정 함량 이상에서는 기계적 물성 및 접착력이 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. Wet slip과 접촉각의 경우에는 acid group 도입에 의해 친수성이 증가함으로 acid 함량이 증가할수록 wet slip은 증가하며 접촉각의 경우에는 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

미세분 함량에 따른 골판지원지의 압착탈수 특성 (Wet Pressing Properties of OCC Stock depending on the Fines Contents)

  • The effects of fines contents in OCC stock on the wet pressing process were evaluated in this study. The fines were collected from the beaten OCC stock by using 200 mesh. The dryness of handsheet samples after the couch and after the 1st wet press were greatly affected by the fine contents of the OCC stock. The higher contents of fines resulted in the lower value in dryness but the higher value of density followed by the higher strength properties. The addition of the retention aids and the drainage aids on the OCC stocks showed the wet pressing efficiency were greatly affected by the fine contents rather than the addition of polymer additives. The increase in the fine retention by the polymer additives offset the improvement in the wet pressing efficiency originated from the polymer additives.

나노 콜로이달 실리카를 이용한 포장용지의 미끄럼특성 제어 (The Control of Anti-slip Characteristics of Packaging Paper Using Nano-colloidal Silica)

  • In this study, a nano-colloidal silica sol was applied to control the anti-slip property by spraying on kraft paper. Two kinds of nano-colloidal silica sol which have cationic and anionic charge were applied in kraft paper, and the friction and physical strength properties of kraft paper were investigated. The application of colloidal silica sol on wet web in wet-end process by spraying method was tried to improve the friction property and to avoid the general problems of machine contaminations caused by the scattering of sprayed silica particles in dryer part. The physical properties of sheet were also improved by the application of wet web spraying method, and the optimum conditions of wet web spraying operation were closely related with the conditions of pH and electrical charge of wet web and silica sol.

감물염색가공에 따른 줌치한지 종이소재의 강도 변화 -감물염색가공 여부와 감물농도 차이에 따른 변화- (The Strength Properties of Jumchi-Hanji Papers Dyed with Persimmon Juice)

  • This study analyzed differences between Jumchi-Hanji papers not dyed and dyed with persimmon juice (50% concentration) in five strength properties (tensile, wet tensile, tearing, bursting, and folding strengths). For the analysis, the undyed and the dyed Jumchi-Hanji papers were made by Jumchichigi during 40 minutes and made with the Dakji of different layer (a layer, two layers) and Choji method (Oebal-teugi, Ssangbal-teugi). Differences between Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with the different concentration of persimmon juice (20% vs 70%) in the five strengths were also identified. For this examination, Jumchi-Hanji papers were made with two layer Dakji (Oebal-teugi Choji method) and by Jumchichigi during 60 minutes. Jumchi-Hanji papers made in this study were used as test samples. As a result, Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with persimmon juice had higher tensile strength (CD), wet tensile strength (MD, CD), and bursting strength than those of undyed Jumchi-Hanji papers. However, tearing strengths (MD, CD) of dyed Jumchi-Hanji papers were lower than undyed Jumchi-Hanji papers. Folding strengths (CD) of dyed Jumchi-Hanji papers were low but the folding strengths (MD) of them were high compared to undyed Jumchi-Hanji papers. In addition, the concentration of persimmon juice influenced the five strength properties of Jumchi-Hanji. The tensile, wet tensile, and bursting strengths of Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with a 70% concentration were higher than those one of Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with a 30% concentration while the tearing and folding strengths of Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with a 70% concentration were lower than Jumchi-Hanji papers dyed with a 30% concentration.

양생방법 변화가 혼화재 다량치환 고강도 모르타르의 압축강도 및 수축변화에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Curing Methods on Compressive Strength and Shrinkage of High Strength Mortar with High Volume SCMs)

  • 우리나라의 많은 건설 공사에서는 건축물이 고층화 되면서, 공기단축 및 물의 처리 곤란 등의 이유로 고강도 콘크리트일지라도 습윤양생을 실시하지 않고 공사를 진행하는 경우가 존재한다. 이와 같이 건조 상태로 양생하게 되면 압축강도 감소, 건조수축 및 자기수축 등 수축변화가 크게 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 또한 본 연구팀에서는 기존의 연구로서 유지류를 콘크리트에 혼합할 경우 비누화 반응을 이용하여 콘크리트의 자기수축 저감 및 내구성 향상에 대한 연구를 진행한바 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 양생방법을 비양생 건조, 유화처리정제식용유(ERCO) 도포 후 건조, 7일 수중양생 후 건조 및 28일 수중양생 후 건조 등 양생 방법 변화에 따른 혼화재 다량치환 모르타르의 압축강도 특성, 수분증발에 따른 수축변화 특성에 대하여 분석하였다. 실험결과는 양생방법으로 비양생 건조를 실시하게 되면 28일 수중양생을 실시하였을 경우보다 약 50% 전후의 강도저하와 1.9배의 수축 길이변화율 증가로 나타나, 혼화재 다량치환 고강도 모르타르에 있어 습윤양생이 매우 중요하게 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 단, ERCO 도포의 경우는 강도 및 수축변화측면에서 무양생인 건조보다는 우수하지만 7일 수중양생 후 건조보다는 성능이 저하하는 것으로 나타났다.

Surface Analysis of Papers Treated with N-chloro-polyacrylamide Using X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy: Mechanism of Wet Strength Development

  • The surfaces of sheets added with N-chloro-polyacrylamide (N-Cl-PAM) are analyzed using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) to clarify the chemical bonding involved in the paper strength development induced by N-Cl-PAM. The comparison of the observed N1s chemical shift of the sheet with those of the paper strength additives and the model compound, 1-butyryl-3-propyl urea, illustrated the presence of covalent bonds of alkyl acyl urea and urethane on the fiber surfaces. Thus the formation of the covalent bonds by N-Cl-PAM themselves and by N-Cl-PAM with cellulose and hemicellulose may be an explanation for much higher effectiveness of N-Cl-PAM on the improvement of wet strength of paper than A-PAM.

탄소섬유강화형 복합재료의 기계적 성질에 미치는 수환경의 영향 (The Influence of Water Environment on the Mechanical Properties of Carbon/Epoxy Reinforced Composite Materials)

  • This study is investigated of tensile and fatigue strength for advanced composite materials under hygrothermal environment. The materials used are two types of Carbon/Epoxy reinforced composite materials i.e., 13$0^{\circ}C$ cure-type composite T-1/347, and 18$0^{\circ}C$ cure-type MM-1/982X. These are composed by cross-ply laminates. Test condition is the distilled water of 8$0^{\circ}C$. The separate absorption contents estimated by the Fick's diffusion rule are similar to the experiment results. The tensile strength of T-1/347 wet specimens more increased than that of dry ones, but that of MM-1/982X decreased. The fatigue strengthes of both T-1/347 and MM-1/982X wet specimen more decreased than those of dry specimens.
