서해 어획대상 잠재생산량 추정을 위한 자원평가모델의 비교 분석 (Comparative analysis of stock assessment models for analyzing potential yield of fishery resources in the West Sea, Korea)

  • This study is aimed to compare stock assessment models depending on how the models fit to observed data. Process-error model, Observation-error model, and Bayesian state-space model for the Korean Western coast fisheries were applied for comparison. Analytical results show that there is the least error between the estimated CPUE and the observed CPUE with the Bayesian state-space model; consequently, results of the Bayesian state-space model are the most reliable. According to the Bayesian State-space model, potential yield of fishery resources in the West Sea of Korea is estimated to be 231,949 tons per year. However, the results show that the fishery resources of West Sea have been decreasing since 1967. In addition, the amounts of stock in 2013 are assessed to be only 36% of the stock biomass at MSY level. Therefore, policy efforts are needed to recover the fishery resources of West Sea of Korea.

서해안 패류에서 분리한 대장균 및 장염비브리오균의 항균제 내성 패턴 (Antimicrobial Resistance Patterns of Escherichia coli and Vibrio parahaemolyticus Isolated from Shellfish from the West Coast of Korea)

  • This study investigated the antimicrobial resistance patterns of Escherichia coli and Vibrio parahaemolyticus isolated from oysters Crassostrea gigas, short-necked clams Ruditapes philippinarum and corb shells Cyclina sinensis from the West Coast of Korea from June through November 2013. The antimicrobial susceptibility patterns of the isolated strains of E. coli and V. parahaemolyticus to 12 antimicrobial agents used in Korea for clinical or veterinary therapy were analyzed. Antimicrobial resistance to at least one antibiotic was seen in 52.0% of the E. coli isolates (156 strains) and 44.3% of the V. parahaemolyticus isolates (194 strains). The resistance of the E. coli (34.0%) and V. parahaemolyticus (41.8%) isolates to ampicillin was highest. Multiple antimicrobial resistance against at least three antimicrobials was seen in 9.0% of the E. coli isolates and 1.0% of the V. parahaemolyticus isolates.

선박입출항 데이터를 활용한 남북 항만 간 해상운송 현황 분석 (Analysis of the Status of Shipping between North Korea and South Korea Ports using Vessel Arrival and Departure Data)

  • 북한의 항만 및 해운의 현황과 문제점을 파악하는 것은 향후 한반도 평화 시대에 남북 간 교역을 대비하는데 중요한 의의를 갖는다. 본 연구에서는 남북 항만을 기항한 선박들의 운항 현황을 Port-MIS 선박입출항 데이터를 활용하여 연도별/화물별(선박종류별)/(북한)항만별로 분석하였다. 특히, 남북 간 교역이 가장 활발했던 3개 연도(2006~2008년)의 남북 항만 간 선박입출항 자료를 시각화 작업을 통해 해상 운송의 흐름을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 2006년부터 2008년까지 해주↔인천간 해상화물이 가장 많았으며, 서해안권에서는 해주↔목포, 남포↔인천 루트가, 동해안권에서는 나진↔부산 루트가 활발했음을 파악할 수 있었다. 북한의 동해안권과 서해안권 모두 다양한 운송루트를 보이고 있는 선박은 일반화물선으로 나타났다. 이러한 일반 화물선의 경우, 한국의 서해안에 위치한 항만은 북한의 서해안에 위치한 항만끼리, 한국의 동해안에 위치한 항만들은 북한의 동해안을 각각 운항하는 경향이 나타나고 있었다. 본 연구는 남북 간 교역의 흐름을 용이하게 파악할 수 있어, 향후 남북 항만 간 연안 운송 관련 연구와 정책을 수립하는데 기초 자료가 될 것으로 기대한다.

An Analysis of the Decision Factors on Mokpo Port by Multinomial Logit Model

  • Relative importance of maritime transport that takes charge of main current of freight in country' economy is very large. Especially, port and facility carry out important role which treats freight of import and export smoothly and improves international trade as turning point, to achieve key role on connection and association between sea and land. For such reason, enlargement of port facilities or development of port needs to grasp exactly the utilization of port, attributes and selective factors of shipper. On the other hand, the amounts of physical distribution on Mokpo port located in Korean west coast are increasing, with fast economic growth of East Asian including China. This study uses discrete choice model that is measuring to analyze attribute and characteristic of Mokpo port, and analyzes port selection by decision factors of shipper. This paper composed a questionnaire using the result of preceding research, to decide port selection factor among competitive ports. Through factor analysis on a basis of the questionnaire' result, five principal components were extracted. These are resorted out by Logit model, to grasp competitive elements of port. This research fin present direction which raises competitive power of ports in west coast of Korea, especially on alternative and concentration of middle-class port as Mokpo may be useful.

실트질 모래지반의 응력경로를 이용한 액상화 분석 (Analysis of Liquefaction using Stress Path in Silty Sand Grounds)

  • It has been generally much fine contents in West Coast of Korea. When cyclic shear stress causing liquefaction was estimated as using cyclic triaxial tests in these grounds, it didn't appear linear relations between deviator stress and confining stress where σ'₃ was more than 150 kpa. Namely, due to no normalization of cyclic shear stress ratio, the errors of this is increased. Therefore, more confining stress is increased, more increment of deviator stress is decreased. So, using linear relations between tanø'/sub d/ of dynamic internal friction angle and CSR where σ'₃ was less than 150 kpa, liquefaction of these grounds was evaluated. Also, as doing detail evaluation which had carried response analysis of earthquake, this appeared good results which was well compatible with empirical methods using N-value of SPT. It was thought that these result evaluated vulnerable liquefaction area more correct than existing methods. Also, characteristics of liquefaction in West Coast grounds was compared with clean sands, with analysis of behavior of pore pressure ratio and axial strain affected by fine contents, as cyclic loading was applied.

An Empirical study on improvement of operation for feeder vessel route between Busan and west coast of Japan

  • In this paper, practical problems for current feeder service between Busan port and west coast of Japan were extracted through in depth interviews with Japanese feeder vessel companies, shippers, and port authority based upon which major criteria (elements) for improvement of the feeder network are structured in hierarchic order and weighed relative importance through AHP method. From the questionnaire answered by Korean and Japanese port users and experts the weights of criteria were calculated and the shipping service was ranked the first by both parties with 0.235 and 0.217, respectively. The port service and support system ranked the second and the third, whereas the port marketing was shown to be the lowest of all. Considering the overall weights, the increase in a port loading and unloading speed of port service was followed by provision of dedicated deck for feeder vessel of port facilities for Korean respondents. Therefore, speed up of the port operations and providing docks for feeder vessel are to be firstly provided for more efficient feeder operations, which would be the basis for the construction of optimal transportation network.

해양 조류발전단지 간섭 연구 (Ocean Current Power Farm Interaction Study)

  • Several tidal current power plants are being planned and constructed in Korea utilizing the strong tidal currents along the west and south coasts. A tidal current reaches 9.7 m on the west coast; there are few potential regions for tidal current power generation. The construction of a dam to store water can prevent the circulation of water, causing a great environmental impact on the coast and estuary. The tidal barrage could produce a large amount of power, but it should be carefully considered. The purpose of developing renewable energies is to minimize the environmental impact and to maximize the utilization of clean energy. To produce a great quantity of power, tidal current farms require the placement of numerous units in the ocean. The power generation is very dependent on the size of the rotor and the incoming flow velocity. Also, the interactions between devices contribute greatly to the production of power. The efficiency of a power farm is estimated to determine the production rate. This paper introduces 3 D interaction problems between rotating rotors, considering the axial, transverse, and diagonal distances between horizontal axis tidal current devices.

우리나라 동위도지역(동해안, 서해안) 해안림의 식물상 (Flora of the Coastal Forests on the Same Latitude of East and West Coast in Korea)

  • Investigation of flora was performed from March to October of 2008 as Eastern and Western coastal districts located in the same latitude ($36^{\circ}47^{\prime}-37^{\circ}48^{\prime}$), in order to apply this to basic data for effective protection and management of coastal forests also for insurance of biodiversity in coastal forests. As a result of the investigation of floras, both coastal forests recorded product-plants as follows: 98 families, 262 genera, 370 species, 46 varieties, 4 forms, 1 hybrid, 421 taxa in total. The Eastern coastal forests had 85 families, 188 genus, 248 species, 32 varieties, 3 forms, 1 hybrid, 285 taxa in total, whereas Western coastal forest had 96 families, 227 genus, 306 species, 39 varieties, 2 forms, 1 hybrid, 348 taxa in total. Among them, seashore plants accounted for 10.2% of total plants appeared in both coastal, and they are 26 families, 38 genus, 40 species, 3 hybrids and 43 taxa in total. There are special Korea plants in both coastal; 9 families, 9 genus, 8 species, 1 varieties, 1 hybrid, 10 taxa in total. There are rare plants in both coastal; 8 families, 8 genus, 7 species, 1 varieties, 8 taxa in total. Naturalized plants are also existed; 11 families, 24 species, 1 variety, 30 taxa in total.

중선포천, 관곡천, 광양서천에서 염생식물과 수생식물상 분포 (Floristics of Halophytes and Hydrophytes in the Jungseonpo, Gwingok, and Gwangyangseo Rivers)

  • 염생식물은 해수와 염분 토양에 강한 염분 내성에 적응된 식물이다. 본 연구는 중선포천(경상남도 사천시), 관곡천(경상남도 하동군), 광양 서천(전라남도 광양시)에서 염생식물과 수생식물의 분포를 규명하기 위해 수행하였다. 중선포천에서는 총 6종의 염생식물과 10종의 수생식물이 수집되었다. 관곡천과 중선포천에서는 각각 5종, 11종의 염생식물이 관찰되었다. 관곡천과 중선포천에서는 각각 5과 13종, 8과 16종의 수생식물이 관찰되었다. 이 중 모새달(Phacelurus latifolius)은 한국의 서부와 남부에 국지적으로 분포하여, 이 종은 생태 및 보존적 멸종위기종이다. 개발에 따른 분포지의 축소가 일어나고 있어 많은 염생 식물종의 개체수가 줄어들고 있다. 남해안에 있는 세하천의 본 조사 지역은 염생식물의 분포가 지역간 차이가 있었고, 염생식물이 잘 받달된 서해안과도 달랐다. 돌가시나무(Rosa wichuraiana)를 비롯한 7종이 과거 기록에 추가되었다.

3년간의 측정결과에 따른 비래염분의 계절별 특성 (Seasonal properties of airborne chlorides to the result of 3 year-measurement)

  • 해양 환경하의 조건에서 건설된 콘크리트 구조물이 해수에 직접 닿을 경우, 해수중의 염화물 농도를 측정함으로서 콘크리트 구조물의 염화물 확산계수 산정이 용이하지만, 해수와 직접 접촉되지 않는 경우, 비래염분 등에 의한 염화물 확산계수의 산정에 어려움이 있다. 따라서, 해안에 인접한 콘크리트 구조물에 날아드는 염분량 등을 측정 평가하는 것은 콘크리트 구조물의 설계 시공 및 유지관리에 중요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 동해, 서해, 남해안의 27개 지역, 72개 지점을 선정하여 매월 1회 1개월간의 누적 비래염분량을 '03년 7월부터 '06년 6월까지 3년간 측정하여 국내 해안가의 비래염분 환경을 계절별 비래염분량의 측면에서 알아보고자 하였다. 측정 결과, 동해와 남해안에서는 여름철, 서해안에서는 겨울철에 상대적으로 많은 비래염분량이 발생하였으며, 이것은 계절풍에 기인한 것으로 판단된다.
