부산지역 백세인의 일상활동 수행능력과 건강관련 삶의 질 (Activities of Daily Living and Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) of Centenarians in Busan)

  • Purpose: The aim of the study was to identify the relationships among age, activities of daily living and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) for centenarians in Busan. Methods: Forty-nine centenarians (2 males and 47 females) participated in the study, done from April to July, 2006. Pace-to-face interviews were used to collect data. Activities of daily living were measured using K-ADL, K-IADL and health-related quality of life, using the Short Form Health Survey (SF-36). Results: Over 50% of the centenarians reported independence for six-items but not for bathing. With regard to type of dependency, 77.6% were independent in transferring, 71.4%, in using the toilet, 67.3%, in feeding and in continence and 57.1% in dressing but just 24.5% were independent in bathing. Age was significantly associated with K-IADL (r= -.303, p= .03). The centenarians were more impaired in physical health components compared to mental health components for health-related quality of life. Conclusion: These results may contribute to a better understanding of activities of daily living and health-related quality of life of centenarians. The findings are relevant to health professionals, in particular professionals who are developing wellness programs to optimize health-related quality of life and functional status for the extremely old age population.

진화론적 방법을 활용한 영성 개념분석 (Evolutionary Concept Analysis of Spirituality)

  • Purpose: This study was done to clarify attributes, antecedents, and consequences of spirituality. Methods: Rodgers's evolutionary concept analysis was used to analyze fifty seven studies from the literature related to spirituality as it appears in systematic literature reviews of theology, medicine, counseling & psychology, social welfare, and nursing. Results: Spirituality was found to consist of two dimensions and eight attributes: 1) vertical dimension: 'intimacy and connectedness with God' and 'holy life and belief', 2) horizontal dimension: 'self-transcendence', 'meaning and purpose in life', 'self-integration', and 'self-creativity' in relationship with self, 'connectedness' and 'trust' in relationship with others neighbors nature. Antecedents of spirituality were socio-demographic, religious, psychological, and health related characteristics. Consequences of spirituality were positive and negative. Being positive included 'life centered on God' in vertical dimension, and among horizontal dimension 'joy', 'hope', 'wellness', 'inner peace', and 'self-actualization' in relationship with self, 'doing in love' and 'extended life toward neighbors and the world' in relationship with others neighbors nature. Being negative was defined as having 'guilt', 'inner conflict', 'loneliness', and 'spiritual distress'. Facilitators of spirituality were stressful life events and experiences. Conclusion: Spirituality is a multidimensional concept. Unchangeable attributes of spirituality are 'connectedness with God', 'self-transcendence', 'meaning of life' and 'connectedness with others nature'. Unchangeable consequences of spirituality are 'joy' and 'hope'. The findings suggest that the dimensional framework of spirituality can be used to assess the current spiritual state of patients. Based on these results, the development of a Korean version of the scale measuring spirituality is recommended.

3D 모션입력장치를 이용한 거울치료가 뇌졸중 환자의 상지 운동 기능, 삶의 질, 우울감에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Mirror Therapy Using 3D Motion Input Device on Upper Extremity Function, Quality of Life, Depression in Stroke Patients)

  • PURPOSE : The purpose of this study was to identify whether 3D motion input device based mirror therapy could improve on upper extremity function, quality of life and depression in chronic stroke patients METHOD : Thirty six patients with chronic stroke were enrolled and randomly divided into three groups: 3D leapmotion mirror therapy group, mirror therapy group, and sham therapy group. 3D leapmotion mirror therapy group performed 3D motion input device based mirror therapy, mirror therapy group performed general mirror therapy, control group performed sham therapy. All patients received a total of 15 exercise session over a 5 week period (three times per week). Fugl-Meyer Assessment-upper extremity(FMA-UE), Stroke Specific-Quality of Life(SS-QOL), Beck Depression Inventory(BDI) were performed prior to and five weeks after the treatment RESULT : Subjects in the 3D leapmotion mirror therapy group showed significant improvements in upper extremity function, quality of life and depression following training. The changes of upper extremity function, quality of life and depression in the 3D leapmotion mirror therapy group were significantly more than them of the control group. CONCLUSION : The result of this study suggest that 3D motion input device based mirror therapy is an intervention to improve on upper extremity function, quality of life and depression in chronic stroke patients.

미래 식품 경향과 조리과학 (Future food and the role of food cookery Science)

  • The environment which surrounds us such as climates, technology change rapidly. Forecasting the future of food by reviewing the subject at the moment would be meaningful, because we could understand the impact of new technology, set the new goal and create the future by speaking out on issues of our concern and by our choices. There are two points of view on our future, one is pessimistic view due to the food and the water shortage, as well as environmental contamination. Another is optimistic view mainly because of innovative technologies. Biotechnology would enable to develope the personalized food using nutrigenomics, nutrigenetics, and nutraceuticals. Nanotechnology and shelf-life extension techniques would contribute great deal to the development of the future food. Consumer's concern for the health and the wellness as well as palatability would affect the development of future food so that the involvment of food cookery scientists are more important to meet the consumer's needs and trends.

소방공무원의 일과 삶의 균형이 직무만족에 미치는 영향과 조직지원인식의 조절효과에 관한 융합 연구 (The Convergence Study on the Influence of the Work and Life Balance of the Firefighter's on Job Satisfaction and the Moderating Effect of Perceived Organizational Support)

  • 본 연구는 소방공무원의 일과 삶의 균형과 직무만족의 관계에서 조직지원인식이 어떠한 역할을 하고 있는지 파악함으로써 소방공무원의 직무만족에 대한 예방적 차원의 개입 방안을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경기도 소방공무원 108명을 대상으로 유의표집을 실시하여 조사하였다. 연구결과, 소방공무원의 일과 삶의 균형은 직무만족에 유의미한 영향을 미치며, 일과 삶의 균형과 직무만족 간에 조직지원인식의 조절효과가 유의미하게 나타났다. 웰니스 융합연구로서 본 연구결과를 토대로, 조직지원인식을 소방공무원의 내적 대처자원으로서 적용할 가능성을 보여주었다는 점과 직무만족을 이끌어내기 위한 예방차원의 효과적인 '일과 삶의 균형 정책'의 적극적인 도입과 지원을 할 수 있도록 제안하였다.

What can be the role of Ayurveda in Health Education: An Overview.

  • In the present highly changing era, every dimension from Technology to Education, Environment to Sanitation and from Agriculture to our Food basket is getting changed. Our experiences say that the most affected ethnic group from this rapidly changing pattern of our food intake, lifestyle are our adolescent. This is also a fact that our adolescent passes their 2/3 of time of a day in their schools. In this regard our school system needs to formulate their comprehensive approach to Health for our adolescents. On other hand Ayurveda, the ancient Indian system of Medicine had expressed views on a concept of Holistic Health thousand years ago. This research article is an attempt of borrowing this valuable concept from Ayurveda and suggesting to introduce them into our comprehensive school health programme such as concept of wellness, quality of life, Holistic Health and measures related to diet and lifestyle for preservation, promotion of health and prevention of disorders etc. This manuscript also evaluates the existing approaches of school health programmes towards current scenario. Now a day's our food habits, dietary intake and the life style are not at the level of satisfactory condition this lead to early onset of metabolic chronic disorder especially in our adolescents because on the basis of age-immunity relationship they are easily targeted. The chronic metabolic disorders results into overweight, obesity, anxiety, mental trauma, distress, over- fatigued, incapable for physical work, getting tired soon. This article provides a space to rethink and reformulate our school health programmes in light of our ancient tradition of medicine.

머신러닝 기반 건강컨설팅 성공여부 예측모형 개발 (Developing a Model for Predicting Success of Machine Learning based Health Consulting)

  • This study developed a prediction model using machine learning technology and predicted the success of health consulting by using life log data generated through u-Health service. The model index of the Random Forest model was the highest using. As a result of analyzing the Random Forest model, blood pressure was the most influential factor in the success or failure of metabolic syndrome in the subjects of u-Health service, followed by triglycerides, body weight, blood sugar, high cholesterol, and medication appear. muscular, basal metabolic rate and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol were increased; waist circumference, Blood sugar and triglyceride were decreased. Further, biometrics and health behavior improved. After nine months of u-health services, the number of subjects with four or more factors for metabolic syndrome decreased by 28.6%; 3.7% of regular drinkers stopped drinking; 23.2% of subjects who rarely exercised began to exercise twice a week or more; and 20.0% of smokers stopped smoking. If the predictive model developed in this study is linked with CBR, it can be used as case study data of CBR with high probability of success in the prediction model to improve the compliance of the subject and to improve the qualitative effect of counseling for the improvement of the metabolic syndrome.

상황인식 기반의 u-Health Care 시스템 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on u-Health care System Design based on Context-awareness)

  • 본 논문에서는 인간의 신체와 관련된 상황정보를 기반으로 한 u-헬쓰케어 시스템 설계 연구이다. 최근 운동 클럽 에서 전문 트레이너와 함께 체계적인 운동을 하는 것이 웰빙에서 이슈가 되었지만, 그중에서 기존의 헬쓰케어 시스템은 단지 고정된 시스템에서 현재 자신의 혈압과 맥박, 심전도, 근전도 등의 일반적인 정보만 제공하기 때문에 장시간이나 장기간의 운동을 하기에는 시간이 지날수록 흥미도가 떨어지고, 사용자 자신에 맞는 관리를 하기가 어렵다. 본 논문에서 개발된 u-헬쓰케어 시스템은 센서 네트워크와 DB를 접목한 상황 인식 시스템을 이용하여 자신의 현재 상태와 운동 진행 상태를 분석한 맞춤 운동을 할 수 있는 상황인식 기반의 서비스를 제공하는 u-헬쓰케어 시스템을 설계 개발 하였다.

노인의 라이프케어와 웰니스를 위한 자원봉사활동 참여요인 분석 (An Analysis on the Participation Factors of Volunteer Activities for Life Care and Wellness of the Elderly)

  • 본 연구는 온라인 사회관계와 정보통신기기 이용능력을 참여요인에 포함하여 노인의 자원봉사활동 참여 요인을 분석함으로 노인의 자원봉사활동의 참여요인을 파악하는 기초자료를 제공함과 동시에 효과적인 참여 활성화를 위한 전략 수립에 도움이 되고자 하였다. 2017년도 노인실태조사의 통계자료에서 10,299명 중 65세 이상 10,073명의 자료만을 표본 추출하였다. 노인의 자원봉사활동 참여율은 빈도분석하였고, 자원봉사활동 관련요인들에 따른 자원봉사활동 참여의 차이는 교차분석과 일원배치분산분석을 실시하였다. 자원봉사활동의 참여의 영향요인을 알아보기위해 다항 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 현재 자원봉사를 하고 있는 노인 3.9%, 과거에 자원봉사를 한 경험있는 노인은 11.5%였다. 연령, 교육 수준, 경제적 수준, 주관적 건강, 신체기능, 정보통신기기 이용능력, 사회적 네트워크, 대면연락빈도, 비대면 연락빈도에 따라 자원봉사활동 참여는 유의한 차이를 보였다. 회귀분석에서는 정보통신기기 이용능력, 사회적 네트워크, 대면 연락빈도가 공통적인 영향요인으로 나타났다. 노인의 자원봉사활동 참여를 활성화하기 위해서는 기존에 보고되었던 인적자원, 경제적 자원 및 사회적 자원을 갖출 수 있도록 지원하는 것이 노인의 자원봉사활동 참여 유도에 도움이 될 것이다. 또한 노인의 사회적 관계, 대면연락빈도 및 정보통신 기기 이용 능력에 대한 고려가 중요할 것으로 사료된다.

구기자-맥문동 전통주 제조용 진균 발효제와 알콜발효 효모의 선발 및 최적 발효조건 (Screening of Fungal Nuruk and Yeast for Brewing of Gugija-Liriope tuber Traditional Rice Wine and Optimal Fermentation Condition)

  • 구기자와 맥문동을 이용하여 새로운 생리기능성 전통주를 개발하고자 항고혈압 활성이 보고된 구기자 3품종과 항통풍성을 가진 맥문동 2품종과 시판 Saccharomyces cerevisiae 3종류와 시판 2종류의 발효제를 이용하여 발효시켜 구기자-맥문동 전통주 제조에 적합한 알콜 발효 효모로 Saccharomyces cerevisiae C-2와 당화효소를 생성하는 진균 발효제로 SJ누룩을 최종 선발 하였다. 또한 이들을 이용한 발효 최적조건으로 구기자-맥문동 첨가량과 발효 최적시간 등을 검토하였다. 최종적으로 장명 구기자와 맥문동 1호를 덧밥에 각각 3%씩 첨가하고 Saccharomyces cerevisiae C-2와 SJ 누룩으로 $25^{\circ}C$에서 5일간 발효시켜 고품질의 기호도가 높고 항고혈압 활성과 항통풍성을 가진 새로운 구기자-맥문동 전통주를 개발하였다.
