그동안 아날로그 환경에서 타이포그래피 적용에 관한 연구는 활발히 진행되었고, 그 연구를 바탕으로 오늘의 디자인에 적용되어 왔다. 그 결과 지면 출력을 위한 편집디자인은 많은 발전을 가져왔지만, web환경에서의 웹디자인은 프로그램이 허용되는 범위내에서 그대로 이용하는 현실이다. 웹디자인의 발전에 따라 다양한 서체가 개발되었으나 서체로는 다양하고 개성있는 소비자들의 욕구를 충족 시켜줄 수 없고, 다시말해서 개성이 사라지고 획일화되어 남과는 차별화를 요구하는 사용자에게는 불만의 요소가 되어왔다. 그래서 본 논문에서는 웹디자인에서 타이포그래피를 적용시키는 방법과 자신의 개성을 강조하고픈 사용자들의 욕구를 충족 시켜줄 대체 방안을 논하고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 사회문제 중 하나인 계속적으로 증가하는 미아발생부분에서 미아발생시 보호자를 손쉽게 찾기 위한 해결방안으로 WWW를 기반으로 어느곳에서나 이용할 수 있는 편리하고 안전한 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 지문인식을 비롯한 생체인식기술은 이미 오랜 시간동안 연구가 계속되고 있고 많은 분야에서 생체 인식을 이용한 개인 인증이 실시되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 생체 인식 중 가장 일반화되고 있고 사람마다 고유의 특성차이를 나타내는 지문을 영상 처리 방법으로 인식하여 본인 여부를 판단하는 지문인식 방법을 이용하여 미아나 장애인 보호를 위한 WWW 기반 미아방지시스템(NomiaSys)을 설계하고 구현하였다. 또한 본 시스템의 활성화 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Web development and Internet technology development bring many kinds of works to web. This is the main reason why XML, document standard is popular. XML in web can be used to express document template or standard. XML with java can be more powerful and general. For example, XML can be used to transmit data and to print data into the screen using Ajax in JSP(Java Server Page) and to make interfaces in android, which is useful to reduce development cycle. However, XML is not easy to learn for the novice. In this paper, we propose the easy and effective way to reduce the learning curve of XML and to make and use XML documents. For the purpose, we suggest template base XML document generation and we design and implement XML document generator based on Template. XML document generator of template-based provides user interface and layout of XML document. So, users can generate XML document easily and effectively.

World Wide Web정보는 인쇄출판물에 수반되는 편집상의 검토나 동료의 평가가 생략되기 때문에 학술정보로 사용될 경우 신빙성이나 권위 면에서 의심을 받게 된다. 따라서 학술정보로 사용할 수 있는 WWW 정보자원의 선택 기준이 필요하며, 이 기준을 개발하기 위하여 미국 15개 대학의 WWW 평가방법을 수집, 분석하여 공통의 평가기준을 추출하였다. 그 후 실 예를 통하여 웹문서내에서 저자사항, 출판자, 갱신일 등의 확인 안되는 문제의 해결방안을 제시하였다.

디지털 매체가 우세한 21세기에 잡지는 신문과 방송, 인터넷 매체의 중간쯤에 폭넓게 자리잡고 있다. 대부분의 사람들이 디지털 기술의 발전과 함께 잡지의 종말을 예상했지만, 예상과 달리 잡지는 보다 자유로운 테마를 갖고 전문화되면서 그 위치를 더욱 확고히 하고 있다. 그러나 인터넷과 같은 디지털 매체는 일상생활에서 무시할 수 없는 미디어로 자리잡았고, 잡지의 디지털 화는 선택이 아닌 필수의 조건이 되었다. 특히 현재 발행중인 인쇄잡지의 웹버전의 개발은 더욱 시급한 문제로 대두되고 있다. 따라서 인쇄 잡지가 기존에 고수하고 있는 아이덴티티를 디지털 매체에 적용 할 수 있는 표현유형에 관한 연구는 필연적인 결과라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 Mgazine Identity의 개념과 구성요소에 관한 연구를 통해 Mgazine Identity의 구축단계를 유형화한다. 이를 바탕으로 국내 ·외 사례를 비교 ·분석하여 현재 발행되고 있는 잡지의 표현유형을 도출해 내고자 한다.

Web offset newspaper prints is the most widely used printing process in domestic printing industry, but there are no industry-wide specifications for press control to assure consistent quality across newspaper printing plants. As newspaper printing becomes more of a commodity and less of an art, it is necessary to develop the print quality specification standard suitable for Korea web offset newspaper printing field. There are a few commonly employed printing standards such as, SNAP(Specification for Non-Heatset Publication) of the US, IFRA(INCA-FIEJ Research Association), J-color (Japan printing machinery association). And there exists KS for domestic standards, however, since it has been directly imported from ISO standards, there are discrepancies in printing materials and media. This paper aims to examine the color reproduction quality of domestic web offset newspaper prints by comparing with foreign standards. Printing experiments on this study have been performed at one of the domestic newspaper printing companies. The color reproduction properties of the web offset newspaper prints are measured by means of densitometry and colorimetry. These measures are evaluated comapratively with the international standards by means of analyzing, the major factors that determine the color reproduction quality of web offset newspapar prints.

최근 웹의 발전은 포털(portal) 사이트 중심에서 사용자 제작 콘텐츠 사이트 중심으로 진화하고 있다. 따라서 많은 기업들이 사용자 편의를 위한 콘텐츠 제작용 웹 응용프로그램을 선보이고 있으나, 다양한 웹 브라우저와 이기종(heterogeneous) 장치에서 동작하고 있는 웹 응용프로그램은 다양한 원소스 데이터의 포맷 형식들로 인해 아직까지 배포와 관리에 대한 많은 문제점들을 갖고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 콘텐츠를 여러 가지 단말기에서 작업할 수 있는 환경과 멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 제작, 배포, 관리할 수 있는 통합형 출력 및 배포도구 (Integrative Displaying and Distributing Tool, IDD-Tool)를 제안한다. IDD-Tool은 사용자가 개인 맞춤의 작업환경에서 쉽게 콘텐츠 제작에 참여할 수 있고, IDD-Tool에서 제작된 콘텐츠를 유통시킬 수 있어 교육, 출판, 기업 등의 분야에서 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이라 예상된다.

웹 서비스라는 환경을 이용하여, 템플릿을 생성 제공하고, 사용자가 쉽게 편집 할 수 있도록 제공하며, 편집한 파일과 동질의 인쇄물을 실시간으로 출력할 수 있는 웹 표준을 따르는 COM 포트 (Communication Port)를 이용한 POD(Print on Demand) 시스템의 프레임워크(framework)를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 프레임워크의 특징은 기본적인 인터넷 활용 능력을 갖춘 사용자들로 하여금, 기존의 전문 편집 프로그램과 비교하여 상대적으로 쉽게 배우고 활용 할 수 있으며, 사용자가 직접 제작한 파일을 화면 그대로의 품질로 실시간으로 인쇄할 수 있는 프로그램을 만들고, 접근성을 높이도록 하였다.

A printing defect known as fluting (or waviness) of the web printed by heatset web offset printing process is one of the chronically serious problems deteriorating print quality. In this paper, fluting occurrence on uncoated papers was explored in terms of many printing conditions including drying temperature, fountain solution amount, ink supply, and press configurations. For this purpose, fluting on prints from real press runs was appraised in a quantitative manner. As results, ink supply was a distinctive factor for fluting such that the lower ink amount, the milder fluting. However increase in fountain solution seemed to make fluting severer while the effect of drying temperature was inconsistent for each paper. This result might indicate variable drying requirements for each paper. Thereby it was suggested that the optimum drying conditions related to the printabilities of each paper need to be established to minimize fluting potential. A press with short dryer and drastic cooling unit produced higher fluting. Suggestions for future work were given along with interpretation for the results.
