  • Necessity of the service-on-demand that reflect a personal characteristic of a customer was increased by an aggravation of web service competition. So a study on a customization is being performed actively. The common customization system supporting of the personalization is performed through the computational data like individual characteristic or preference. Various studies on the service that used emotional information were performed. But we can't use this emotional information in the web system because of characteristics of emotional information system In this study, we design the adaptive customization system that used emotional information of the customer and analyse the system by experiments.

  • This study has been conducted for the purpose to materialize a research task management system supporting smart work in regards to web accessibility. Smart phones have been on the spotlight in managing businesses and government affairs for their economical benefits and time wise efficiency. However, there is a lack of evidence in the actual development and implementation of smart phones in he current reality. Thus, this study has been conducted to build such a system with this current situation in mind. Prior to developing the system, studies have been made regarding HTML5, web accessibility, and Smart work. Through a theoretical study, an HTML5-based web accessibility system has been constructed and its methodology of development presented. As a result, the methodology presented through this study proves to be beneficial in the system development of smart devices-based environment which obey Web Accessibility.

  • This paper introduces the method for a design and implementation of an integrated virtual education system WebClass which is based on the World Wide Web and maximizes the interaction among users. Existing virtual education systems did not provide a flexible integration of their functions as they included various interaction functions without user interaction models. We designed an user interaction model for supporting various instructional model and implemented user interfaces of WebClass based on the interaction model. Thus we developed an intergrated virtual education system that is based on user interaction model instead of amalgam of various interaction functions. WebClass support both synchronous and asynchronous sharing functions for user interactions. Our goal was to support and efficient virtual education by maximizing user interaction.

  • In web-based education environment, it is necessary to provide individually adjusting feedback according to learner's characteristic. Despite this necessity, it is a current state that there are difficulties in deriving the variables of learners' characteristics and lack in developing the systematic strategies and practical tools for providing individually adjusting feedback. This study analyzed the learners' learning patterns, one of learner's characteristic variables regarded as important in web-based teaching and learning environment by employing Apriori algorithm, and also grouped the learners by learning pattern. Under this framework, the e-SRM feedback system was designed and developed to provide learning content, learning channel, and learning situation, etc. for individual learners. The proposed system in this study is expected to provide an optimal learning environment complying with learner's characteristic.

  • It is difficult for existing construction support system to provide real-world information such as geographical and spatial data, geographic information system is expected to be able to supply efficiently analyzing and supporting function as well as actual data by connecting construction support system. Furthermore, the providing method and content of GIS are varied by building various network and information service, and use of web GIS which can offer diverse and dynamic solution on network is spreaded. In this study, information management system for construction works(CIMSGIS : Construction Information Management System on Web GIS) based on web GIS is developed, which can confirm instantly state of advance and manage construction progress by real-time reporting and instruction. Also CIMSGIS can support decision making on intuitive understanding and manifold operation reporting.

  • In this study, we suggest the effective storage structure and management method for XML-based electrocardiography(ECG) data to support the interoperability between medical information systems, and implement the metadata system of ECG data providing the web-based information service. ECG matadata management system include functions for storing and managing as well as reporting PDF service of ECG data. We analyzed a characteristics of the data and access patterns for XML-based ECG and then used the non-partitioning storing method and indexing the extracted metadata from the HL7 aECC for supporting the quick search. We, using the template mechanism, converts the XML-based results data into various formats in order to provide services of the ECG reporting.

Evaluation of Geo-based Image Fusion on Mobile Cloud Environment using Histogram Similarity Analysis

  • Mobility and cloud platform have become the dominant paradigm to develop web services dealing with huge and diverse digital contents for scientific solution or engineering application. These two trends are technically combined into mobile cloud computing environment taking beneficial points from each. The intention of this study is to design and implement a mobile cloud application for remotely sensed image fusion for the further practical geo-based mobile services. In this implementation, the system architecture consists of two parts: mobile web client and cloud application server. Mobile web client is for user interface regarding image fusion application processing and image visualization and for mobile web service of data listing and browsing. Cloud application server works on OpenStack, open source cloud platform. In this part, three server instances are generated as web server instance, tiling server instance, and fusion server instance. With metadata browsing of the processing data, image fusion by Bayesian approach is performed using functions within Orfeo Toolbox (OTB), open source remote sensing library. In addition, similarity of fused images with respect to input image set is estimated by histogram distance metrics. This result can be used as the reference criterion for user parameter choice on Bayesian image fusion. It is thought that the implementation strategy for mobile cloud application based on full open sources provides good points for a mobile service supporting specific remote sensing functions, besides image fusion schemes, by user demands to expand remote sensing application fields.

Cloud-based Satellite Image Processing Service by Open Source Stack: A KARI Case

  • In recent, cloud computing paradigm and open source as a huge trend in the Information Communication Technology (ICT) are widely applied, being closely interrelated to each other in the various applications. The integrated services by both technologies is generally regarded as one of a prospective web-based business models impacting the concerned industries. In spite of progressing those technologies, there are a few application cases in the geo-based application domains. The purpose of this study is to develop a cloud-based service system for satellite image processing based on the pure and full open source. On the OpenStack, cloud computing open source, virtual servers for system management by open source stack and image processing functionalities provided by OTB have been built or constructed. In this stage, practical image processing functions for KOMPSAT within this service system are thresholding segmentation, pan-sharpening with multi-resolution image sets, change detection with paired image sets. This is the first case in which a government-supporting space science institution provides cloud-based services for satellite image processing functionalities based on pure open source stack. It is expected that this implemented system can expand with further image processing algorithms using public and open data sets.

  • Existing web based learning system provides various instruction paths. However, learners are provided with the same instruction content with little consideration of each learner's learning style. Therefore, Current Web based learning is lacking as a system that encourages individual learning, by failing to provide for proper instruction methods for each learner. This prototype system can find the most effective way of learning for each learner by analyzing a learner's learning. It also provides content based on the most effective instruction method for the learner taking into consideration learning style. Especially, this proposed adaptive learning system supporting dynamic link by learning style by evaluation for each steps of leaning process.

Development of Efficient Order Communication and Pharmacy Supporting System for Traditional Korean Medicine (효율적인 한의 처방조제지원시스템 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the order communication system for Traditional Korean Medicine(TKM) which can support prescribing decisions and provide the toxicological information. The relative vulnerability of the infrastructure of TKM has made us start the study. We carried out the benchmarking for TKM charting solution firstly, and then designed the intelligent search and supporting method for prescription decisions. We developed of the medical herbs database and the web-based order communication program which can be used in medical field actually. This system supplies a various functions to oriental medical doctors such as management for prescription history, search for herb's effects, generating prescriptions, inventory management, alerting of toxicity and taboo, guideline for taking medicine, and so on. The design and implementation process has been described in this research. We expect that this system will play an important role in electronic medical record(EMR) or electronic health record(EHR) binding diagnosis and management functions.
