Development of a Web-based Presentation Attitude Correction Program Centered on Analyzing Facial Features of Videos through Coordinate Calculation (좌표계산을 통해 동영상의 안면 특징점 분석을 중심으로 한 웹 기반 발표 태도 교정 프로그램 개발)

  • In order to improve formal presentation attitudes such as presentation of job interviews and presentation of project results at the company, there are few automated methods other than observation by colleagues or professors. In previous studies, it was reported that the speaker's stable speech and gaze processing affect the delivery power in the presentation. Also, there are studies that show that proper feedback on one's presentation has the effect of increasing the presenter's ability to present. In this paper, considering the positive aspects of correction, we developed a program that intelligently corrects the wrong presentation habits and attitudes of college students through facial analysis of videos and analyzed the proposed program's performance. The proposed program was developed through web-based verification of the use of redundant words and facial recognition and textualization of the presentation contents. To this end, an artificial intelligence model for classification was developed, and after extracting the video object, facial feature points were recognized based on the coordinates. Then, using 4000 facial data, the performance of the algorithm in this paper was compared and analyzed with the case of facial recognition using a Teachable Machine. Use the program to help presenters by correcting their presentation attitude.

A Study on Copyright Infringement over Online Streaming Services by Reconstructing Web Cache (웹 브라우저 캐시 재조립을 통한 온라인 스트리밍 서비스 상의 저작권 침해 가능성에 관한 연구)

  • As internet technology advances, users can share content online, and many sharing services exist. According to a recently published digital forensic study, when playing an online streaming service, you can restore the played video by reconstructing the Chrome cache file left on local device such as a PC. This can be seen as evidence that the user watched illegal video content. From a different point of view, copyright infringement occurs when a malicious user restores video stream and share it to another site. In this paper, we selected 23 online streaming services that are widely used both at home and abroad. After streaming videos, we tested whether we can recover original video using cache files stored on the PC or not. As a result, the paper found that in most sites we can restore the original video by reconstructing cache files. Furthermore, this study also discussed methodologies for preventing copyright infringement in online streaming service.

  • As people are highly interested in health, the number of people who participate in various sports programs is getting increased. But there is no web service which integrates all the information of the public sports facilities in Seoul and it's convenient to use the public sport facilities. So we propose an integrated information system whoever can find the public sports facilities in Seoul. The public APIs for the Seoul public sports facilities provided by Seoul city are used to integrate the information. Also, our web page provides various graphic function using pictures and videos of the facilities on the environment of HTML5. And it is the responsive webpage which can be provided on both desktop and mobile environment. By implementing the wizard page, the managers of the facilities who are not specialized can renew the information about their facilities easily. And for the easier searching, we provides three options of searching: local, subjects, themes.

  • This study was done to develop a digital textbook for students to use over the internet for maternity nursing practice. The textbook is not only for student nurses, but also for nurse midwives and nurses working in the maternity. The process used was as follows; 1. Existing educational media on maternity nursing were reviewed and examined. 2. Workshops and meetings were held to decide the most appropriate type of presentation. 3. The digital content including text, pictures, audios, and videos were developed using Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier. 4.Revisions were made recursively as the content was previewed and implemented over the internet by professionals and the end-users. 5. A database of members and a web survey module were developed and posted. The clinical implication of a digital textbook over the internet is the possibility of using it to educate many student nurses throughout the country and to disseminate the content for whoever needs it in practice settings and facilities. Another implication is that this site stressed interactivity by developing member database and web survey. In conclusion, the study found this first trial of digital textbook to be a unique educational media for nursing skills practice. Further refinement of this media is strongly recommended.

Personalized Nutrition Intervention for Weight Control With Korean Foods via Internet Service System

  • People with obesity or over-weight need nutritional intervention to reduce their weight, because weight loss reduces the incidence rate of chronic diseases such as hypertension, type II diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and cancer in obese people. This study was to develop a system for individualized weight control program available both for wired and wireless internet users. This system is especially useful to users carrying wireless internet mobile device. If they input their physical information (height, weight and waist circumference) and mineral levels measured by hair tissue mineral analysis, the system provides evaluation of their health status and metabolic related functions such as endocrine and carbohydrate tolerance. Based on these evaluations, food menus are then offered to them to manage their health status and to improve their metabolic related physiological functions in a personalized way. The system also provides more information for recommended foods, such as nutritional information, food ingredients, recipes, and videos related to cooking. Bibimbap was selected as an example dish for customized contents for mobile web. Bibimbap is one of the most well-known Korean traditional dishes prepared with various kinds of ingredients including several different kinds of vegetables, meat, and egg so that it is a low calorie dish as well as a well-balanced diet. Therefore, this system developed in this study allows the mobile users to access web site through wired wireless internet everywhere and provides a customized content to the users to manage their weight and finally to achieve a desirable weight.

  • In this paper, we propose multicast technique in order to reduce the required network bandwidth by n times, by merging the adjacent multicasts depending on the number of HENs (Head-End-Nodes) n that request the same video. Allowing new clients to immediately join an existing multicast through patching improves the efficiency of the multicast and offers services without any initial latency. A client might have to download data through two channels simultaneously, one for multicast and the other for patching. The more the frequency of requesting the video is, the higher the probability of caching it among HENs increases. Therefore, the requests for the cached video data can be served by HENs. Multicast from server is generated when the playback time exceeds the amount of cached video data. Since the interval of multicast can be dynamically expanded according to the popularity of videos, it can be reduced the server's workload and the network bandwidth. We perform simulations to compare its performance with that of conventional multicast. From simulation results, we confirm that the Proposed multicast technique offers substantially better performance.

  • This study was designed to develop e-Learning multimedia contents to provide the first aid rescuer with the basic resuscitation, members of the public, corporations and any other institutions who wish to learn this skills. It is carried out from October to December in 2001. This program was constructed on the basic of the network-instructional system Design model, this model has severalprogressive steps, which includes the planning, analysis of the contents, development of the contents, instructional design, development of web-based and multimedia, pilot test, implement, and evaluation. The URL of this site is http://www.cyber.hc.ac.kr named as the cyber education program for the basic resuscitatingskill. This contents consisted of 8 chapters providing as follows : Introduction, anatomy and physiology of heart-ling, Adult Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, Adult Foregin-body Air-Obstruction, Child Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, Child Foregin-body Air-Obstruction, Infant Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation, Infant Foregin-body Air-Obstruction. To make the learning more interesting, as much animation and videos were integrated. In conclusion, this e-Learning multimedia contents will be useful for student as well as members of the public. It significantly increases the chances of saving the life of person who has collapsed.

  • In this paper, we develop a system that can add additional information to video for educational purposes by utilizing various Open APIs. Teachers can use the system to reconstruct general videos for educational purposes. Especially, teachers can use various Open APIs easily without programming by simply typing keywords. In addition, the system manages the information about keywords so that it can provide learning contents that are appropriate for the students. Using the proposed system, students can easily understand the contents of the video and extend the knowledge since the information about keywords are adaptively provided.

  • With ever more popularity of video web-publishing, popular content is being compressed, reformatted and modified, resulting in excessive content duplication. Such overlapped data can cause problem of search speed and rate of searching. However, duplicated data on other site can provide alternatives while specific site cause problem. This paper proposes the efficient method, for retrieving. similar video data in large database. In this research we have used the method to compare summarized video image instead of the raw video data, and detected similar videos through clustering in that dimension feature vector through PCA(principle component analysis). We show that our proposed method is efficient and accurate through our experiment.

  • Interesting education which utilizes cyber visual and audio multimedia effects, we regard it as a very effective education but those programs are not prepared yet. So, the purpose of this research is to provide a new direction for cyber fashion education with the use of avatars as the multimedia factor to increase student's interest and understanding. First, we investigated the present situation of fashion cyber education and the present avatar usage situation online, and also we searched literature and the internet to investigate the general theory of design. Second, we used Adobe photoshop 7.0 to make avatars, then, we used Macromedia Flash MX to design the avatar on our web site, and to make it look more realistic. According to the research results, cyber fashion education is usually used as marketing in certain areas, and for middle school, and high school students it is mainly used as text and lecture videos. When searching for fashion sites that use avatars, we found that most fashion shopping malls use them. Because avatars can give visual effects and also increase interest and fun, they can increase concentration and understanding and can be effective in fashion cyber education.
