매일신문에 나타난 복식현상에 관한 연구(I)-남성복, 여성복, 아동복 중심으로- (Study on the aspect of costume in "Maeil Shinmun" - Focused on Men's wear, Women's wear and Children's wear-)

  • This study presents the aspects and changing process of the habiliment from the National Liberation up to now by analyzing the articles of costume found in$\ulcorner$Maeil Shinmun$\lrcorner$from Jan. 1. 1946 to Dec. 31. 1996. In the period of 1946~1959, the political and economic conditions through the National Liberation and Korean war deteriorated and the interest in costumes were weakened. But the economic recovery and social stability in the middle of the 50's made the lost interest in costumes increase. From 1960 to 1969, the high economic growth was achieved by“Five year plans for Economic Development”and the progress of mass media, transportation, communication and education brought western culture to our society. It spread rapidly and changed the way of life and the sence of value. These phenomenon led to a great transition on the Korean costume culture in the 60's In 1970~1979, the articless of costume made a change from the 60's, which focused on women's wear, and tuned to one including general costumes not only women's wear but also men's wear due to the women's social roles, the unisexmode and diverse costume. In 1980~1989, the growth of the consumption, the banning of the school uniform, Asian Games(1986) and Olympic games(1988) caused the high qualification, personalization and diversification in the fashion industry. Further more, the traditional-oriented trend with korean culture was emphasized. It pursued the modernization of the traditional Korean Costume, Hanbok, to introduce the unique Korean Beauty. From 1990 to 1996, in the era of international-ization and open door policy, the competition of nations became intense and the comprehention about environmental destruction highlingted the concerns on ecology. The recognition of environmental protection and recycling were reflected in the fashion. It prevailed that the pursuit of personalization,. diverse style, practicality and the fashion leader called generation appeared.

무가압함침법에 의한 $Al_2O_{3p}$/AC8A 복합재료의 제조 및 특성 (Fabrication and Characteristics of $Al_2O_{3p}$/AC8A Composites by Pressureless Infiltration Process)

  • 무가압함침법에 의한 $Al_2O_{3p}$/AC8A 복합재료의 제조와, 제조법과 관련하여 부가적인 Mg의 첨가와 강화상의 부피분율이 $Al_2O_{3p}$/AC8A복합재료의 기계적 성질과 마모저항에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 강화상 입자와 기지재료의 일부를 분말로 조합한 혼합분말 속으로 기지금속을 자발적으로 침투시켜 부피분율이 20~40%인 $Al_2O_{3p}$/AC8A 복합재료를 제조할 수 있었다. 그러나 강화상의 부피분율이 40%인 복합재료의 경우 기공율의 상승으로 복합재료의 강도는 저하하였다. Mg의 첨가량이 5~7wt% 일 때 가장 높은 강도를 나타냈으며, 경도는 Mg 첨가량의 증가에 따라 점진적으로 상승하였다. $Al_2O_{3p}$/AC8A복합재료는 저속에서 기지재료에 비해 내마모성이 저하하였으나, 고속에서는 AC8A합금에 비해 약 5.5배의 우수한 내마모성을 나타냈다. 마모기구의 관찰에 의해 부피분율 20% $Al_2O_{3p}$/AC8A복합재료의 경우 연삭마모가 주된 마모기구임을 알 수 있었으며, 부피분율 40% $Al_2O_{3p}$/AC8A복합재료는 높은 기공율로 인한 마모 가중으로 저속에서도 경미한 응착마모가 관찰됐고 마찰 속도가 증가함에 따라 격심한 마모로 진행되었다.

  • 산화억제제로 사용한 이규화 몰리브덴($MoSi_2$)의 함량에 따른 일방향 탄소/탄소 복합재료의 마찰 및 마모 특성에 관하여 대기상태 하에서 정속마찰시험기를 이용하여 측정하였다. 그 결과, 탄소/탄소 복합재료는 마찰온도 150~180${\circ}C$에서 급격한 마찰계수의 전이, 즉 normal wear 영역에서의 낮은 마찰계수(${\mu}$=0.15~0.2)에서 dusting wear 영역에서의 높은 마찰계수(${\mu}$=0.5~0.6)로의 전이를 나타내었다. 이렇게 마찰계수가 전이하는 온도범위의 존재는 탄소/탄소 복합재료로 만든 브레이크가 복합재료의 열적 특성에 큰 영향을 받는다는 것을 의미한다. 그리고 산화억제제인 $MoSi_2$를 가지는 탄소/탄소 복합재료는 이를 함유하지 않은 복합재료에 비해 약 1.5배 정도의 낮은 평균마찰계수 및 마모율을 나타내었으며, 특히 4 wt% $MoSi_2$ 함량을 가진 복합재료가 가장 큰 마모활성화 에너지 값을 나타내었다.

고투과율 광학유리(SF57HHT) 초정밀절삭의 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Ultra-precision Turning of High Transmittance Optical Glass(SF57HHT))

  • Heavy flint optical glass(SF57HHT) is new material that has extremely high transmittance. Due to brittleness and high hardness, optical glass is one of the most difficult to materials for ultra-precision turning. According to the hypothesis of ductile machining, all materials, regardless of their hardness and brittleness, will undergo transition from brittle to ductile machining region below critical undefromed chip thickness. In this study, cutting test was carried out to evaluate cutting performance of heavy flint glass using ultra-precision machine with single crystal diamond bite. The machined workpiece surface topography, tool wear and surface roughness were examined using AFM and SEM. The experimental results indicate that the machining mode become the brittle mode to ductile mode, when the maximum undeformed chip thinkness is large than critical value. Tool wear mainly occurs on the flank face and its wear mechanism is dominated by abrasion. This study demonstrates the feasibility of SF57HHT by diamond turning.

국가별 TED 강연자의 의복선택을 통해 본 수트에서 캐주얼 웨어까지 착용 변화 (Attachment Transition from Suit to Casual Wear via TED Speakers' Clothing-Behavior in Different Cultural Contexts)

  • This study investigated the difference of clothing-behavior for the same occasions in terms of a cross-cultural context. It analyzed clothing items worn by TED speakers via video at TED.com in the US, UK, France, Japan, and South Korea from October to December 2012. An analysis on the 233 videos showed considerable differences among countries. American speakers wore casual items on the top and formal wear on the bottom. Most British speakers wore the same styles on the top and the bottom outfits such as 'formal-top & formal-bottom' or 'casual-top & casual-bottom'. French speakers chose mix and match styles. Japanese and Koreans selected the same styles on the top and the bottom outfits such as 'formal-top & formal-bottom' or 'casual-top & casual-bottom'. In particular, Japanese speakers selected various casual items more than other countries' speakers. Korean senior speakers had a preference to wear more formal clothing and young people liked more casual attachments. This study found that clothing attachments differed by cultural context and generation.

상대 재료의 경도를 고려한 DLC필름의 트라이볼로지 특성 (A Study on Tribological Characteristics of DLC Films Considering Hardness of Mating Materials)

  • DLC films were deposited on Si wafer by RF plasma assisted CVD using CH4 gas. Tribological tests were conducted using rotating type ball on disk friction tester in dry air. Four kinds of mating balls were used. The mating balls were made with stainless steel but apply different annealing conditions to achieve different hardness conditions. Testing results in all load conditions showed that the harder the mating materials, the lower the friction coefficient among the three kind of martensite mating balls. In case of austenite balls, the friction coefficients were lower than fully annealed martensite ball. The high friction coefficient in soft martensite balls seems to be caused by the larger contact area between DLC film and ball. The wear tracks of DLC films and mating balls could have proven that effect. Measuring the wear track of both DLC films and mating balls have similar tendency comparing to the results of friction coefficients. Wear rate of austenite balls were also smaller than that of fully annealed martensite ball. The results of effect of applying load showed, the friction coefficients were become decrease when the applying loads exceed critical load conditions. The wear track of mating balls showed that some material transfer occurs from DLC film to mating ball during the high friction process. Raman spectra analysis showed that transferred material was a kind of graphite and contact surface of DLC film seems to undergo phase transition from carbon to graphite during the high friction process.

압입축에 발생하는 프레팅 마모가 피로균열 발생 위치에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Fretting Wear on Fatigue Crack Initiation Site of Press-fitted Shaft)

  • 본 연구는 압입축에 프레팅이 발생할 경우 프레팅 마모에 의한 접촉형상의 변화가 접촉응력의 분포, 균열발생 위치에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 압입축의 프레팅 피로실험시 측정한 접촉면의 프로파일을 이용하여 유한요소 해석을 수행하고 피로 사이클별 마모형상 변화에 따른 접촉면의 응력 변화를 분석하였다. 접촉면의 응력 해석결과를 이용하여 프레팅 피로손상 파라미터와 다축 피로이론를 적용하여 마모에 따른 균열발생위치의 변화를 해석하고 실험과 비교, 분석하였다. 프레팅 마모에 의해 접촉 끝단의 응력집중은 초기에 급격하게 감소하며, 마모가 진행될수록 응력집중의 위치는 접촉끝단에서 안쪽으로 이동한다. 따라서 프레팅 마모에 의한 접촉응력의 변화가 균열발생 위치의 변차와 다중균열발생의 주요원인임을 명확히 하였다.

  • In any mechanical system consisting of gears, shafts and/or bearings, the majority of metallic particles deposited into and carried by the lubrication system originate from the deterioration of oil-wetted working surfaces, even in proper lubrication system, due to failure mechanism (s) such as wear, fatigue and fretting corrosion. Determination of the point at which transition from normal to abnormal or to actual damage occurs has become a focus of attention in research activities for years, because it has been recognized that reliable, economic operation can be achieved through appropriate preventative measures. Known collectively from 'all size wear debris analysis' as early failure detection, the methods of testing for damage differ considerably, range from a micron or a submicron size debris analysis to Magnetic Chip Detector (MCD) ferrous debris analysis. This paper will be focused on the utilization of the low-cost analysis techniques for evaluation of industrial machinery condition.

고강도 Fe계 합금의 고온 변형 특성 (High Temperature Deformation Behavior of Fe-base High Strength Alloys)

  • Fe-base amorphous alloy and two crystalline phases composite were fabricated. The effect of temperature and strain rate on mechanical properties was evaluated utilizing compression test. Mixture of non-crystalline and crystalline phases were found using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) tests. Based on glass transition temperature and crystallization temperature. compression tests were performed in the temperature ranging from $560^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$ with $20^{\circ}C$ interval. Relationship between microstructure, including fracture surface morphology, and mechanical behavior was studied. The peak stress of Fe-base amorphous alloy was over 2GPa and expected to have a good wear resistance, but it is expected hard to deform because of low ductility. The peak stress and elongation of two crystalline phases composite was over 1GPa and about 20%, therefore it is possible to deform high strength wear resistant materials such as engine valve.

  • 본 연구에서는 SiC 및 SiC-TiB$_{2}$복합재료의 마모 및 마모천이기구를 비교 실험한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 두 재료의 마모천이현상은 각각의 하중이 200N(SiC)과 80N(SiC-TiB$_{2}$)이상에서 나타나게 되었다. 마모기구는 임계미끄럼시간에서 두 단계로 나뉘어진다. 소성변형에 의한 grooving과정과 잔류응력에 의한 grain pull-out과정들로써 미세 구조를 통해 관찰할 수 있었다. grain pull-out과정은 초기단계에서 부터 생성된 전위가 축적되어 잔류응력을 발생시키므로 일어난 과정이다. SiC에 TiB$_{2}$를 첨가하므로 마모는 더욱 심하게 일어나게 되었다. 입계의 강도를 더 약하게 하였기 때문이다. 그러나, 파괴인성은 입계강도가 약할수록 증가하였다. 결국 파괴인성이 큰 재료가 마모는 더 심하게 일어남으로 서로 상반된 관계를 갖고 있슴을 결론지을 수 있었다.
