MR 브레이크의 내구성에 따른 제어성능평가 (Control Performance Evaluation of MR Brake Depending on Durability)

  • This paper presents performance comparison results of magneto-rheological (MR) brake in the sense of wear characteristics. To create wear circumstance, the brake is operated in 100 000 cycles by DC motor. To make wear test in same design parameters such as the radius of the housing, ferromagnetic disc and gap size, small sample of stainless are inserted in housing of MR brake. The performances of brake are compared between the initial stage (no wear) and 100 000 revolution cycles operated stage (wear). At each circumstance, torque of the brake is measured and compared by applying step current and sinusoidal control input. The controller used in this work is a simple, but effective PID controller. It is demonstrated that the wear behavior is more obvious as the operating cycle is increased in the torque control process.

착용쾌적성이 향상된 방탄복 개발과 성능평가 (Development and Performance Evaluation of Body Armor for Wear Comfort Enhancement)

  • This study helps develop a cool body armor that maintains a tight-fit configuration to the body surface and evaluates the performance of newly developed body armor in a wear test. Three types of body armor were used for evaluation. One was a tight fitting body armor that was constructed to improve the degree of fit and ease of movement for Korean soldier using 3D technology. Another was ventilating body armor with attached spacers on the shoulder to reduce the thermal stress on the soldier. The third was a prevailing body armor produced by a Korean body armor company. In order to evaluate the performance of the body armor, a human wear test, a thermal mannequin test, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) were executed. Five subjects participated in the wear test. Subjective wear sensation, total amount of sweat and dynamic change of clothing microclimate were observed during and after exercise on a treadmill; subsequently, it was found that subjects rated tight fitting body armor and ventilating body armor lighter, drier, and easier to move than the conventional body armor (p<.05). Total amount of sweat was the least in the case of ventilating body armor. The thermal resistance and vapor resistance of the ventilating body armor were improved remarkably. In addition, the skin temperature of the ventilating body armor with spacers was lower than the tight fitting body armor by at least $1^{\circ}C$ in the CFD result. It is noted that thermal-wet comfort of the 3D body armor with ventilating feature is superior to the conventional body armor, especially when the ventilating channel is not closed due to a backpack.

  • 레일마모는 열차의 주행안전 및 승차감에 미치는 영향이 크고, 소음 진동의 주요원인으로 작용한다. 또한 레일마모가 발생할 경우 궤도구조의 파괴를 촉진시킴으로써 차량 및 궤도유지보수비를 크게 증가시킨다. 따라서 현장에서 발생하는 마모 원인을 체계적으로 분석함으로써 마모를 저감할 수 있도록 차량운행 조건과 선로선형 및 궤도구조를 설계하는 것은 중요한 과제이다. 본 연구에서는 궤도의 효율적인 유지관리를 위해 궤도를 구성하고 있는 레일, 체결구, 침목, 도상 등의 요소를 고려하여 레일 궤도의 생애주기 거동 및 유지관리 특성을 분석하였다. 또한 축적된 진단/검측 데이터로부터 궤도 구성품의 건전도를 평가할 수 있는 방법을 정립하고 잔존수명을 예측하여 효율적 유지관리를 실현할 수 있는 기법 개발을 위하여 지하철 레일단면마모데이터를 이용한 구간 특성에 따른 시간-마모량의 확률적 분포 변화와 다중회귀 분석을 수행하였다.

중년기 여성의 아쿠아로빅 웨어 디자인 개발을 위한 착의 평가 (Sensory Test for the Development of Aquarobic Wear Design for Middle-Aged Women)

  • Aesthetic impression, structural stability, functionality during exercise, freedom of movement and physiological suitability should be considered when developing aquarobic wear for middle-aged women. We conducted a visual evaluation of the commercial aquarobic wear of the five brands (ARENA, TURN, RALLY, RENOMA and ELLE) with the highest market share and selected three items: one-piece type (OPT); two-piece type (TPT) and whole-body type (WBT). These are the most worn types of aquarobic wear for each brand. The G4 showed the best results in appearance evaluation of the shoulder strap width, front neckline, armhole line, side hip line and short pants length in the OPT category. The TPT had better ratings as the shoulder strap was located in the center of the shoulder, and the front and the back necklines were not too deep. The five items of WBT clothing received similar ratings for each element, so it is considered that the advantages are evenly distributed. No single design was a clear favorite. Based on the above results, continuous research on the development of aquarobic wear that is more suitable and preferable for middle-aged women should be conducted.

국내 여성복 브랜드의 패션필름 유형에 따른 소비자 인식차이 (Consumer's Perception of Types of Fashion Film)

  • This research investigates consumer responses to different types of fashion film used in national women's wear brands. The content analysis was conducted as a preliminary study for women's wear fashion brand based on the 2012/2013 fashion brand yearbook. Three types of fashion film (Wearing Apparel Products, Brand Advertising and Storytelling were used as stimuli for the present study. We analyzed 224 data gathered using SPSS 22.0. The results showed significant differences among types of fashion film in regards to film attitude, product evaluation, creativity, information literacy, re-watching intention and word of mouth intention variables. This study revealed that the Brand Advertising type received the most positive evaluation in many aspects. Especially, the Storytelling type received the most positive evaluation in creativity. Wearing Apparel Products type gained high points in information literacy. The present study helps brand managers determine a fashion film that best suits each brand characteristics.

The Effects of Demographic Factors on Children's wear Brand Preference and Their Reasons, and Brand Evaluation (paper no.3)

  • This study is designed to analyze the effects of demographic factors on children's wear brand preference and their reasons, and brand evaluations. A total of 355 usable data was collected from housewives in three metropolitan cities (Seoul, Daejeon, and Sungnam) in Korea. An ANOVA and crossing analysis were used to determine the strength(percentage) among several dependent variables. Also, regression analysis was used to examine the effects of demographic factors on each factor and component related to fashion brand evaluation. Overall, ANOVA and crossing analysis results showed that the visual attributions (variables) of clothing marked significantly higher scores than others (functional attributions). This result is noteworthy because it is opposite of common stereotypes and prejudices that selectors who first recognize visual information (aesthetic attributions) as a clothing buying criteria should be unsatisfied with them after wearing. Therefore, this research suggests that the chief reason in determining the outcome of success or failure in fashion industry depends on their trend productions with fashion image creation by reflecting the exclusive trends based on consumer's taste and wants.

타이어 마모에 영향을 미치는 가혹도 인자 (Severity Factors Affecting Tire Wear)

  • 타이어 마모는 자동차 드라이버들의 주요 관심 사항 중의 하나일 뿐만 아니라 타이어의 수명과 밀접하게 관련되어 있다. 자동차 타이어의 사용 조건들은 여러 가지 요인들이 함께 작용하기 때문에 타이어 마모에 대해 명확하게 규명하는 것은 쉽지 않다. 따라서, 타이어 마모를 평가하기 위해서는 실제 사용 조건에서의 마모 평가가 필요하다. 타이어의 수명과 밀접한 관련이 있는 마모를 평가하기 위하여 정해진 가혹한 주행 조건을 갖는 dedicated test를 통하여 마모 성능 시험을 실시하였다. 타이어 마모에 영향을 미치는 많은 인자들을 단순화시키기 위하여 정해진 운전자의 가혹도로 시험함으로써 운전자의 운전 습관에 따른 영향을 최소화하였다. 마모와 관련이 있는 노선 가혹도의 영향을 확인하기 위하여 노선 별로 횡가속도를 측정하여 얻어진 driving severity number(DSN)을 이용하여 DSN에 따른 타이어의 마모율과 마모 양상에 대해 비교해 보았다. 이러한 dedicated treadwear test 결과를 제공함으로써 타이어 마모 성능을 만족시키기 위한 설계에 유용한 자료를 제공할 수 있다.

Wear evaluation of CAD-CAM dental ceramic materials by chewing simulation

  • PURPOSE. To evaluate the wear of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) dental ceramic materials opposed by enamel as a function of increased chewing forces. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The enamel cusps of healthy human third molar teeth (n = 40) opposed by materials from CAD-CAM dental ceramic groups (n = 10), including Vita Enamic® (ENA), a polymer-infiltrated ceramic network (PICN); GC Cerasmart® (CERA), a resin nanoceramic; Celtra® Duo (DUO), a zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS) ceramic; and IPS e.max ZirCAD (ZIR), a polycrystalline zirconia, were exposed to chewing simulation (1,200,000 cycles; 120 N load; 1 Hz frequency; 0.7 mm lateral and 2 mm vertical motion). The wear of both enamel cusps and materials was quantified using a 3D laser scanner, and the wear mechanisms were evaluated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results were analysed using Welch ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis test (α = .05). RESULTS. ZIR showed lower volume loss (0.02 ± 0.01 mm3) than ENA, CERA and DUO (P = .001, P = .018 and P = .005, respectively). The wear of cusp/DUO [0.59 mm3 (0.50-1.63 mm3)] was higher than cusp/CERA [0.17 mm3 (0.04-0.41 mm3)] (P = .007). ZIR showed completely different wear mechanism in SEM. CONCLUSION. Composite structured materials such as PICN and ZLS ceramic exhibit more abrasive effect on opposing enamel due to their loss against wear, compared to uniform structured zirconia. The resin nano-ceramic causes the lowest enamel wear thanks to its flexible nano-ceramic microstructure. While zirconia appears to be an enamel-friendly material in wear volume loss, it can cause microstructural defects of enamel.

원전 배관감육 평가를 위한 새로운 기법의 도입 및 타당성 (Introduction and Feasibility on a New Technology for the Pipe Wall Thinning Evaluation of Nuclear Power Plants)

  • A huge number of carbon steel piping components installed in the secondary system of nuclear power plants are exposed to aging mechanisms such as FAC (Flow-Accelerated Corrosion), Cavitation, Flashing, and LDIE (Liquid Droplet Impingement Erosion). Those aging mechanisms can lead to thinning of the piping components. To manage the wall thinning degradation, most of utilities in the world predict the wall thinning rate based on the computational program such as CHECWORKS, COMSY, and BRT-CICERO, evaluate the UT (Ultrasonic Test) data, and determine next inspection timing, repair or replacement, if needed. There are several evaluation methods, such as band, blanket, and strip methods, commonly used for determining the wear of piping components from single UT inspection data. It has been identified that those single UT evaluation methods not only do not consider the manufacturing features of pipes, but also may exclude the data of the most thinned point when determining the representative wear rate of piping components. This paper describes a newly developed single UT evaluation method, E-Cross method, for solving above problems and introduces application examples for several pipes and elbows. It was identified that the E-Cross method using the length and width of UT data excluded the most thinned points appropriate as the single UT evaluation method for thinned piping components.

신체 변화 및 패션 취향분석을 고려한 여자 아동복 디자인 (Children's Wear Design Considering Physical Changes of Children and Fashion Preferences of Children and Parents)

  • The aim of this study was to present a flexible and satisfactory clothing design for girls aged 4 to 6 years of age, which can be worn comfortably for 3 years, during that age range. This study focuses attention on the need for well-fitting clothes in the young girls' market, and provides a basis for development of designs that can be worn for a long time, are comfortable for children to wear, and reflect preferences of both children and parents. Documentary research was executed to examine the history and changes of children's wear. Internet and market research were carried out to understand the current situation of girls' clothing in Korea. In-depth interview subjects were girls aged 4 to 6 and their guardians. Subjects were asked questions related to children's wear size and design, and measurements were taken of child subjects. Children's wear on the Internet was found to be trendy and inexpensive but of a low quality, as was children's wear at Dongdaemun market. Children's wear at department stores was of high quality and pretty, but did not consider size much and was expensive. One problem of the Korean children's wear market was lack of a unified size system. In-depth interviewees pointed out that there are not many clothes that fit their children perfectly. Problems included t-shirt, sleeve and pants length. Parents said they preferred simple and clean designs, and children interviewees all liked pink dresses and skirts. Children's physical measurements presented by Size Korea were compared and verified with measurements taken of child interviewees, and used as a basis for patterns. The study presented two designs for girls of ages 4 to 6 to wear all through that age range. A sample was made for one of the designs, and an evaluation showed very successful results.
