For the prevention of the network intrusion from damaging the system, both IDS (Intrusion Detection System) and Firewall are frequently applied. The collaboration of IDS and Firewall efficiently protects the network because of making up for the weak points in the each demerit. A model has been constructed based on the DEVS (Discrete Event system Specification) formalism for the simulation of the system that consists of IDS and Firewall. With this model we can simulation whether the intrusion detection, which is a core function of IDS, is effectively done under various different conditions. As intrusions become more sophisticated, it is beyond the scope of any one IDS to deal with them. Thus we placed multiple IDS agents in the network where the information helpful for detecting the intrusions is shared among these agents to cope effectively with attackers. If an agent detects intrusions, it transfers attacker's information to a Firewall. Using this mechanism attacker's packets detected by IDS can be prevented from damaging the network.
In this paper, the productivity estimation of the painting line in an automobile plant is studied. To improve the bottleneck and the weak point of the process, computer simulations are performed. In determining the system specification, the status of the conveyor lines and the other physical facilities are considered in order not to intervene with each other and to satisfy the painting facility restrictions. As simulation parameters, production performance ratio, number of hanger and dolley, down time, speed of conveyor and the pitch of a painting body are chosen on the basis of exhaustive field evaluation to study their effects on the capacity of the process. The results of the simulation show that we can improve the capability of they system without additional investment to the plant facility. The best condition for the maximum capacity of the process is selected by comparing the alternative computer simulation results. As a simulation language, Promodel is used which is very useful and easy to use in manufacturing oriented simulation.

In this Paper, the estimation method of painting process in the automobile plant using computer simulation techniques is studied to improve the bottle neck process, the weak point and the productivity. For model and analysis, Promodel is used which is a manufacturing oriented simulation software developed by Promodel corporation in the U.S.A. Firstly the result of the simulation shows that we can obtain capability improvement in the system performance using computer simulation. Secondly, the optimum system specification is decided by comparing reports generated by scenario in simulation program find out the suitable conditions. Finally, the speed of conveyor and a pitch of painting body as the most critical parameters are chosen on the basis of exhaustive field evaluation to study their effects o the capacity of the process. The best alternative condition for the maximum capacity of the process is selected by computer simulation.
We studied about the rotor design change using a Ferrite ring magnet to reduce material cost in the condition of the same stator core design. However, this design direction has many weak points such as the decrease of BEMF, the low maximum output, the irreversible demagnetization characteristics of a permanent magnet and so on. In order to mitigate such disadvantages, an optimization design of the BLDC motor has been developed by changing each design parameter and by improving the electromagnetic structure. In the proposed water pump SPM BLDC motor using Ferrite magnet, the outer and inner diameter of stator is fixed to the value of the conventional IPM BLDC motor using Nd-Fe-B magnet. The design specification requirements should be satisfied with the same output power and efficiency characteristics in the same dimension. As a result of this study, the design comparison results considering driving performances and material cost are represented. Through the actual experiment with the prototype of the designed motor, the simulations results are verified.
Pile-to-pilecap connection performance is important as Integral abutment bridges (IABs) have no expansion joints and their flexible weak-axis oriented supporting piles take the role of the expansion joint. This connection may govern the bridge strength and the performance against various lateral loads. The intention of this study is to identify crack propagation patterns when the pile-to-pilecap connection is subjected to lateral loadings and to propose novel connections for improved performance under lateral loadings. In this study, eight different types of connections were developed and modeled, using Abaqus 6.12 to evaluate performances. Three types were developed by strengthening the connections using rebar or steel tube: (i) PennDOT specification; (ii) Spiral rebar; and (iii) HSS tube. Other types were developed by softening the connections using shape modifications: (i) cylindrical hole; (ii) reduced flange; (iii) removed flange; (iv) extended hole; and (v) slot hole connection types. The connections using the PennDOT specification, HSS tube, and cylindrical hole were shown to be ineffective in the prevention of cracks, resulting in lower structural capacities under the lateral load compared to other types. The other developed connections successfully delayed or arrested the concrete crack initiations and propagations. Among the successful connection types, the spiral rebar connection allowed a relatively larger reaction force, which can damage the superstructure of the IABs. Other softened connections performed better in terms of minimized reaction forces and crack prevention.

The present, most of bridges have been constructed with RC piers in Korea. But the construction of bridges with RC piers is limited to certain working environment and weather that give rise to some series trouble such as weak constructability, quality deterioration and rising of the cost of construction. For this reason, the construction tend to focus on the developing of more effective and economical construction methods. Of all methods, prefabricated precast segment piers have been examined more extensively, it has become a solution of some problems like traffic congestion that usual site placing methods have. The Korea government has the already issued specification earthquake effect. But the existing seismic specification are inapplicable to bridges with prefabricated precast segment piers. This study analyzes structural behabviors of the RC model, prestressted pier moel, the prefabricated precast segment pier with no shearduct model and the prefabricated segment piers with shearduct and changed post tensioning force.

Deflection in terms of serviceability of reinforced concrete structures is considered as one of significant factor. Domestic concrete specification offers a procedure to evaluate deflection using effective moment of inertia at cracked section, which has been known as Branson's equation in ACI. Branson's equation was derived from statistical analysis of maximum deflection of flexural members, but is somewhat weak in no reflection of bond characteristics between reinforced bars and concrete, such as tension stiffening effect. Therefore, present code creates difference from actual deflection. In this study, experiments about deflection of RC beams was completed to compare domestic standard and Eurocode 2, which calculates deflection considering tension stiffening effect. Four RC beams were built and tested, and initial modulus of elasticity and tensile strength of concrete used in the test was calculated by each design standard.

With regard to urban culture this study aims to essential understanding and systematic approach to the culture. The "2012 Seoul Survey" report has been used to find out causality among the related variables. In the first place 'satisfaction of cultural condition' was operationally selected as a dependent variable for regression. For the purpose of controlling the third factors for ceteris paribus effect correlation analysis was previously done between the dependent variable and all other variables respectively, which resulted in two groups of variables: group (1) - 2 variables of very significant correlations(p-value<0.01) and (2) - the other 6 variables of significant correlations(p-value<0.05). Then hierarchical regression was adopted to these 2 groups to analyse statistical significance of independent variables, and multicollinearity(VIF; variance inflation factor). Additionally to OLS robust and bootstrapping regressions were done to confirm the validity of this model specification. At last a regression model specified by group (1) as independent variables(they are 'community spirit caring for women, the disabled, the poor and the old,' 'satisfaction of bicycle riding condition' shows that the variables have statistically significant and substantially strong effect on 'satisfaction of cultural condition.' This finding implies the following understanding; (1) urban festivals are regarded as the main of the urban culture as of now and this results from the low level of today's culture, (2) culture is telling and hearing stories but the influential relationship between urban culture and community spirit on the weak is negative, which says that the cultural perception among citizen is somewhat selfish and far from the essential understanding of the urban culture. In spite of restrictive external validity this finding can be used as a direction for promoting culture and a basis for related policy choice in cities.
Numerous train operating companies provide training by means of driving simulators. A detailed analysis in the course of the rail research project 2TRAIN has shown that the simulation technology, the purposes of training and the overall concept of simulator-based training are rather diverse (Schmitz & Maag, 2008). A joint factor however are weak assessment capabilities and the fact that the simulator training is often not embedded into the overall competence management. This fact hinders an optimal use of the simulators. Therefore, 2TRAIN aims at the development of enhanced training and assessment tools. Taking into account that several simulators are already in use, the focus lays on the extension of existing simulation technology instead of developing entirely new systems. This extension comprises (1) a common data simulation interface (CDSI), (2) a rule-based expert system (ExSys), (3) a virtual instructor (VI), and (4) an _assessment database (AssDB). The foundation of this technical development is an assessment concept (PERMA concept) that is based on performance markers. The first part of the paper presents this assessment concept and a process model for the two major steps of driver performance assessment, i.e. (1) the specification of exercise and assessment and (2) the assessment algorithm and execution of the assessment. The second part describes the rationale and the functionalities of the simulator add-on tools. Finally, recommendations for further technical improvement and appropriate usage are given. based on the results of a pilot study.
This paper suggests method of safe security S/W by verifying and its result of formal verification tool. We will survey many formal verification tools and compare features of these tools. And we will suggest what tool is appropriate and methodogoly of developing safe security S/W. The Z/EVES is the most appropriate tool. This paper proposes formal verification of ACS by using RoZ tool which is formal verification tool to create UML model. The specification and verification are executed using Z/EVES tool. These procedures can find weak or wrong point of developed S/W.
