  • A policy for recycling waste concrete has been extensively studied, but it is still lacking to recycle and reuse as a cementitious powder, and the property has big different depending on the aggregate rates. In this study, the amount of cement powder according to the internal properties of the aggregate were mixed. From as a result, Concrete Powder to play inside the aggregate composition of the cement composition CaO rigs that causes loss of power and strength reduction due to rising real water cement ratio will affect large.

  • In the automotive industry, such as scrap metal and plastic scrap process is being recycled. Although the glass beads are used as road paving or other additives and processing crushing, recycling is known that there are limits. The utilization of waste glass was evaluated as a concrete admixture by using powder characteristics and chemical composition of the glass. As a result of using waste-glass powder as an admixture, it is difficult to expect the pozzolanic effect, but it is found that it can increase the fluidity of concrete and ensure the durability performance in the appropriate amount range.

  • The paper study on the mechanical properties of self-compacting concrete with waste marble powder. A change in the replacement ratio s of waste marble powder was measured compressive strength and slump flow, U-Box. As a results, Slump flow and U-box using waste marble powder tend to increase slump flow and compacting with replacement ratio. As the concrete with a replacement ratio of copper slag up to 10% was found to have a compressive strength superior to that of plain.

  • Chestnut processing plants have wasted large amounts of chestnut inner skin waste, which contains chestnut flesh. To review the availability of the chestnut flesh as a food ingredient, We have analyzed the physiochemical characteristics of the chestnut powder extracted from inner skin waste. Then, we have examined on tastes and other sensory tests using breads, noodles and jellies made from various percents of chestnut powder. The results are as follows; The water absorbing capability and amylose degradability of the powder from the inner skin waste are 40% and 8% higher than those of the core chestnut powder, respectively. Also, the power from the inner skin waste shows similar characteristics with one of the core chestnut in iodine reaction. The breads, noodles and jellies from the chestnut powder have similar characteristics in flavor, hardness, elasticity, cohesiveness, adhesiveness, chewing property, and gumminess with the traditional ones.

  • The marble powder is a by-product that can be freely collected during the manufacturing process of marble, such as sawing, shaping, and polishing. Disposal of this waste powder is one of the environmental problems worldwide today. Therefore, this study investigated to solve this problem by consuming the waste marble powder in high fluidity concrete, as a pore filler. For this purpose, the waste marble powder was used as a binder replacing 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20% of cement in high fluidity concrete. After mixing, slump flow test, time-to-reach the slump flow of 500mm test, O-lot test and U-box test were conducted with fresh concrete. For the hardened concrete, compressive strength was determined at the age of 28 days. According to the test results, the workability of high fluidity concrete increased with the powder of 15% replacement, and the compressive strength of high fluidity concrete also increased with the same amount of powder.

  • Research on the recycling of waste concrete has been conducted mainly focusing on the production of high-quality recycled ag g reg ate, and as a result, standards and specifications for recycled ag g reg ate have been established. However, in the case of waste concrete powder, although a lot of research on its utilization has been conducted in Korea, an innovative technology leading to commercialization has not yet been announced. Recently, research on technology using waste concrete powder as a raw material for clinker or cement has been actively conducted in major overseas advanced countries. This study investigated the overseas cases with regard to high value-added recycling technology and commercialization trend of waste concrete powder for carbon neutrality in cement and concrete industries. A number of studies have reported that it is essential to completely separate the aggregate and hydrated cement paste fraction for recycling of waste concrete powder. Also in major foreig n countries such as EU and USA, commercialization and standardization of using waste concrete powder as a raw material for clinker or a additive for cement are now in progress beyond the R&D stage. Therefore, Research and standardization for recycling of waste concrete powder should be urgently carried out from the perspective of carbon neutrality in Korea.

  • The purpose of this study was the development of a recycling process to recover the hydraulic properties of hydration products which account for a large proportion of cementitious powder from concrete waste. This process was performed to recycle cementitious powder as recycle cement. Therefore, after the theoretical consideration of the properties of recycle process of recycled aggregates and cementitious powder, we investigated the hydraulic properties of cementitious powder under various temperature conditions in hardened mortar which was modeled on concrete waste. And we analyzed properties of chemical reactions of recycled cement with admixture materials such as Fly-Ash, Blast Furnace Slag As a result of the experiment, the most effective method to recover hydraulic properties of the cementitious powder from concrete waste was condition of burning at 700℃ for 120 minute. And it is shown that the fluidity of mortar was decreased rapidly when the burning temperature of recycle cement was increased. However, the compressive strength and fluidity were improved significantly when admixture materials such as Fly-Ash or Blast Furnace Slag was added.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine whether cementitious powder separated from waste concrete can be used as an alternative raw material to limestone and reduce the usage of natural resource (limestone) and $CO_2$ emission based on recycling cementitious powder from waste concrete. Experiments actually analyzed the chemical composition of cementitious powder and performed hyperthermia analysis, measurement of free CaO and XRD analysis to measure the degree of recovery of hydration in the model of cementitious powder manufactured based on chemical composition. These were performed in each cementitious powder model at different calcination temperatures such as $900^{\circ}C$, $1200^{\circ}C$, $1300^{\circ}C$, $1400^{\circ}C$ and $1450^{\circ}C$. Through the experiments, it was found that the recovery of hydration was at a level which can be used as the alternative raw material for limestone, but the replacement ratio was directly affected by the degree of mixing of fine aggregate in less than $150{\mu}m$, which cannot be separated from cementitious powder. It was shown that there was no difference in the production of compounds involved in hydration at calcination temperatures of $1200^{\circ}C$ or higher. Therefore, to pursue the replacement of limestone and reduction of greenhouse gas by recycling cementitious powder, the development of technology to efficiently separate aggregate fine powder is required.

  • Treating methods and characteristics of waste from a nuclear fuel powder conversion plant were studied. To recovery or treat a trace uranium in liquid waste, the ammonium uranyl carbonate(AUC) filtrate must be heated for $CO_2$ expelling, essentially. Uranium content of final treated waste solution from fuel powder processes for a heavy water reactor(HWR) could be lowered to 1 ppm by the lime treatment after the ammonium di-uranate(ADU) precipitation by simple heating. Otherwise, in case of the waste from fuel powder processes for a pressurized light water reactor(PWR), it is result in 0.8 ppm as a form of uranium peroxide such as $UO_4{\cdot}2NH_4F$ compounds. Optimum condition was found at $101^{\circ}C$ by the simple heating method in case of HWR powder process waste. And in case of PWR powder process waste, optimum condition could be obtained by precipitating with adding hydrogen peroxide and adjusting at pH 9.5 with ammonia gas at $60^{\circ}C$ after heating the waste In order to expelling $CO_2$. As the characteristics of recovered uranium compounds, median particle size of ADU was increased with pH increasing in case of HWP waste. Also, in case of uranium proxide compound recovered from PWR waste, the property of $U_3O_8$ power obtained after thermal treatment in air atmosphere was similar to that of the powder prepared from AUC conversion plant.
