In this paper, we are proposing improved vanishing points detection and segments labeling methods for inside wall frame detection from indoor image of a piece of having a colour RGB. A lot of research related to recognizing the frame of artificial structures from the image is being performed due to increase in demand for AR technology. But detect the inside wall frame in indoor images have many objects that caused the occlusion is still a difficult issue. Inner wall frame detection methods are usually segment labeling methods and detect vanishing point methods are used together. In order to improve the vanishing point detection method we proposed using inner wall orthogonality which forms the cube. Also we proposed labeling method using tree based learning and superpixel based segmentation method for labelingthe segments in indoor images. Finally, in experiments have shown improved results about inside wall frame detection according to our methods.

This study presents the effective stiffness-based optimal technique to control Quantitatively lateral drift for shear wall-frame structure system using sensitivity analysis. To this end, the element stiffness matrices are constituted to solve the compatibility problem of displacement degree of freedom between the frame and shear wall. Also, lateral drift constraint to introduce the approximation concept that can preserve the generality of the mathematical programming and can effectively solve the large scaled problems is established. And, the section property relationships for shear wall and frame members are considered in order to reduce the number of design variables and differentiate easily the stiffness matrices. Specifically, constant-shape assumption which is uniformly varying in size during optimal process is applied in frame structure. The thickness or length of shear wall can be changed depending on user's intent. Two types of 20 story shear wall-frame structure system are presented to illustrate the features of the stiffness-based optimal design technique.

In a shear wall-frame structural system, the structural response is determined by the interaction between the shear wall in bending mode and the frame in shear mode. In order to effectively consider these characteristics of a shear wall-frame structure, the simplified numerical model using the T-shape rigid body was suggested in the previous study. Based on the previously proposed model, an efficient numerical model for a wall-frame structure with an eccentric core has been proposed in this study. To this end, the previously proposed 2D model is extended to the 3D model and it is enhanced by considering torsion effects. As a result, the enhanced model can be applied to the analysis of a wall-frame structure with an eccentric core as well as a centric core.
Metal curtain wall systems are widely used in high-rise commercial and residential buildings. While aluminum is the most frequent used frame material, steel framing is also reemerging as a high-performance material in glazed curtain walls due to less thermal conductivity and design flexibility. The purpose of this study is to evaluate thermal performance of a steel frame curtain wall system by comparing with a aluminum frame curtain wall system. The thermal transmittance was measured according to KS 2278, and condensation resistance was calculated by the test results according to KS F 2295. The steel framing test specimen showed lower thermal transmittance and temperature descending factor compared to the aluminum framing test specimen.
A supplementary reinforced concrete wall can be used to improve the seismic behavior of a buckling restrained braced frame as a mixed system. In such a novel system, the total lateral force is resisted by the combination of the RC wall system and the BRBF. There is not enough research on the response modification factor of such a mixed system. This paper investigates the response modification factor, and such relevant factors as ductility reduction factor and over strength factor for a system consisting of reinforced concrete wall and buckling restrained braced frame. To this purpose, nonlinear incremental dynamic analysis as well as static push over analysis are used for 6- to 14-story sample structures. The results show that for mixed considered systems, the mean value of response modification factor varies approximately from 7 to 9.

A wall-frame structure resists horizontal load by the interaction between the flexural mode of the shear wall and the shear mode of the frame, which implies that the frame deflects only by reverse bending of the columns and girders, and that the columns are axially rigid. However, as the height of frame increases the shear mode of frame changes to flexural mode, which is due to the extension and shortening of the columns. An approximate hand method for estimating horizontal deflection and member forces in high-rise shear wall-frame structures subjected to horizontal loading is presented. The method is developed from the continuous medium theory for coupled walls and expressed in non-dimensional structural parameters. It accounts for bending deformations in all individual members as well as axial deformations in the columns. The deformations calculated from the presented approximate method and matrix analysis by computer program are compared. The presented approximate method is more accurate for the taller structures.

The objective of this study is to investigate the seismic response of high-rise RC bearing-wall structures with irregularity. For this purpose, three 1:12 scale 17-story reinforced concrete model structures were constructed according to the similitude law, in which the upper 15 stories have a bearing-wall system while the lower 2-story frames have three different layouts of the plan : The first one is a moment-resisting frame system, the second has a infilled shear wall with symmetric plan and the third has a infilled shear wall with eccentricity, Then, these models were subjected to a series of earthquake excitations. The test results show the followings: 1) the existence of shear wall reduced greatly shear deformation at the piloti frame, but has almost the negligible effect on the reduction of the overturning-moment angle, 2) the frame with shear wall resists most of overturning moment in severe earthquake, 3) the torsional behavior is almost independent of the translational, 4) the absorbed energy due to the overturning deformation has the largest portion in the total absorbed energy.
The building frame and its foundation along with the soil on which it rests, together constitute a complete structural system. In the conventional analysis, a structure is analysed as an independent frame assuming unyielding supports and the interactive response of soil-foundation is disregarded. This kind of analysis does not provide realistic behaviour and sometimes may cause failure of the structure. Also, the conventional analysis considers infill wall as non-structural elements and ignores its interaction with the bounding frame. In fact, the infill wall provides lateral stiffness and thus plays vital role in resisting the seismic forces. Thus, it is essential to consider its effect especially in case of high rise buildings. In the present research work the building frame, infill wall, isolated column footings (open foundation) and soil mass are considered to act as a single integral compatible structural unit to predict the nonlinear interaction behaviour of the composite system under seismic forces. The coupled isoparametric finite-infinite elements have been used for modelling of the interaction system. The material of the frame, infill and column footings has been assumed to follow perfectly linear elastic relationship whereas the well known hyperbolic soil model is used to account for the nonlinearity of the soil mass.

This study was conducted to examine experimentally the seismic performance of non-ductile reinforced concrete (RC) frames retrofitted with precast(PC) engineered cementitious composite (ECC) wall panels. The seismic performance was investigated through cyclic load tests on RC frame with different aspect ratio (hw/lw = 2 and 3) and installation position (center and both side of RC frame) of the PC ECC wall panels. Test results indicated that the seismic strengthening method using PC ECC wall panels is effective to improve significantly the strength, stiffness and energy dissipation capacity of non-ductile RC frame. Based on test results, it can be recommended to install PC ECC wall panel at the center of RC frame for improving the strength and to install slender wall panels at both side of RC frame for increasing ductility.
The structural behavior of reinforced concrete frame infilled with a masonry wall is investigated by the method of discontinuous deformation analysis (DDA). An interface element is developed and it is incorporated into DDA to analyze the continuous and discontinuous behavior of the masonry structure. The numerical results are compared with previous research and possess satisfactory agreement. Then the structural behavior and stress distribution of a reinforced concrete frame infilled with a masonry wall subjected to a horizontal force are studied. In addition, the justification of equivalent strut is assessed by the distribution of principal stresses. The results show that the behavior of the masonry structure is highly influenced by the failure of mortar. On the basis of the distribution of principal stress of the masonry wall in the reinforced concrete frame, the equivalent strut can be approximately substituted for the masonry wall without separation and opening. However, the application of equivalent strut to the masonry wall with separation and opening needs further study.
