출력전압 제어 가능한 모듈형 DC/DC 컨버터 설계 (Design of Modular DC / DC Converter Design with Programmable Output Voltage)

  • 본 연구는 부하의 크기에 따라 출력전압이 변환 가능한 모듈형 컨버터 설계에 관한 것이다. 컨버터는 부하의 크기에 따라 효율이 결정되며 낮은 부하에 대해서는 일반적으로 효율이 낮다. 따라서 대용량의 컨버터를 제작하는 것보다는 소용량의 모듈형 컨버터를 제작하여 부하의 크기에 따라 컨버터 모듈의 병렬결선을 통해 시스템의 용량을 결정하는 것이 효율적인 측면에서 유리할 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 부하에 따라 모듈의 수를 조절 가능하도록 설계된 모듈형 DC/DC 컨버터를 소개할 것이다. 모듈의 병렬결선을 위해 출력단에는 프로그램 가능한 저항을 배치하고 이 가변저항을 조절하여 전압의 크기를 조절 가능하게 하였다. 이와 같은 방식으로 제어되는 시스템은 경부하의 경우에 약 32% 가량의 효율 개선을 나타내는 것으로 확인되었다.

Coordinated Control of Reactive Power between STATCOMs and Wind Farms for PCC Voltage Regulation

  • This paper proposes a coordinated control of the reactive power between the STATCOMs (static synchronous compensators) and the grid-side converters (GSC) of wind farms equipped with PMSGs (permanent-magnet synchronous generators), by which the voltage fluctuations at the PCC (point of common coupling) are mitigated in the steady state. In addition, the level of voltage sags is reduced during grid faults. To do this, the GSC and the STATCOM supply reactive power to the grid coordinately, where the GSCs are fully utilized to provide the reactive power for the grid prior to the STATCOM operation. For this, the GSC capability of delivering active and reactive power under variable wind speed conditions is analyzed in detail. In addition, the PCC voltage regulation of the power systems integrated with large wind farms are analyzed for short-term and long-term operations. With this coordinated control scheme, the low power capacity of STATCOMs can be used to achieve the low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) capability of the wind farms during grid faults. The effectiveness of the proposed strategy has been verified by PSCAD/EMTDC simulation results.

Voltage Stability Prediction on Power System Network via Enhanced Hybrid Particle Swarm Artificial Neural Network

  • Rapid development of cities with constant increasing load and deregulation in electricity market had forced the transmission lines to operate near their threshold capacity and can easily lead to voltage instability and caused system breakdown. To prevent such catastrophe from happening, accurate readings of voltage stability condition is required so that preventive equipment and operators can execute security procedures to restore system condition to normal. This paper introduced Enhanced Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm to estimate the voltage stability condition which utilized Fast Voltage Stability Index (FVSI) to indicate how far or close is the power system network to the collapse point when the reactive load in the system increases because reactive load gives the highest impact to the stability of the system as it varies. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) had been combined with the ANN to form the Enhanced Hybrid PSO-ANN (EHPSO-ANN) algorithm that worked accurately as a prediction algorithm. The proposed algorithm reduced serious local minima convergence of ANN but also maintaining the fast convergence speed of PSO. The results show that the hybrid algorithm has greater prediction accuracy than those comparing algorithms. High generalization ability was found in the proposed algorithm.

고집적 메모리의 yield 개선을 위한 전기적 구제회로 (An Electrical Repair Circuit for Yield Increment of High Density Memory)

  • Electrical repair method which has replaced laser repair method can replace defective cell by redundancy’s in the redundancy scheme of conventional high density memory. This electrical repair circuit consists of the antifuse program/read/latch circuits, a clock generator a negative voltage generator a power-up pulse circuit a special address mux and etc. The measured program voltage of made antifuses was 7.2~7.5V and the resistance of programmed antifuses was below 500 Ω. The period of clock generator was about 30 ns. The output voltage of a negative voltage generator was about 4.3 V and the current capacity was maximum 825 $mutextrm{A}$. An antifuse was programmed using by the electric potential difference between supply-voltage (3.3 V) and output voltage generator. The output pulse width of a power-up pulse circuit was 30 ns ~ 1$mutextrm{s}$ with the variation of power-up time. The programmed antifuse resistance required below 44 ㏀ from the simulation of antifuse program/read/latch circuit. Therefore the electrical repair circuit behaved safely and the yield of high densitymemory will be increased by using the circuit.

  • This paper gives derivations of voltage collapse conditions by using the Lyapunov function, which yields the exactly same results with the sensitivity analysis approach. On the other hand, the voltage collapse phenomenon is interpreted in the physical sense, and causes of the static voltage unstability and the dynamic voltage unstability are analyzed with the use of proposed Lyapunov function. In addition a new method is developed to calculate the power capacity limit of transmission lines with respect to voltage stability. This paper shows that it is able to analyze the voltage collapse with the Lyapunov direct method in the simple 2-bus system and proposes that the method works well by observing the variation of Lyapunov function as the load is increased in the system.

  • AC AT feeding system is possible to do the long distance feeding due to compensate the voltage drop. Nowaday this is a typical and efficient type all over the world in high speed train and heavy transport capacity. Normally a Auto-transformer is installed at regular internal (5 to 10km) between Substation and Sectioning post, this study is reviewed the voltage drop according to train movement and the optimal location of auto transformer, and provided the efficient feeding configuration.

  • The conversive limitation of electric energy for the thyristor inverter is analysed under the boundary conditions which the term of a negative inverse voltage is longer than that of the turn off time of the thyristor under commutation. It is clear that the maximum electric energy conversion is affected by the turn off time of the thyristor, the reactance of a commutation reactor, the capacity of a commutation condenser and the voltage of Direct current source. It is useful for design the thyrister invertor and the motor speed control to apply the above conclusion.

  • This study deals with a isolation type MIC(Module Integrated Converter) for AC module with advantages such as DC Wireless, freely selectable installation capacity, minimized shadow effect etc. In this paper, MIC circuit with the function which can remove the ripple voltage of PV module and give the discharging path for charged energy in leakage inductance of isolation transformer. The validity of proposed circuir is verified by the simulation with PSIM.

  • The microwave power supply is mainly composed of the cathode power supply supplying the beam voltage and beam current of the gyrotron and body power supply for the single depressed collector (SDC) operation, which requires the cathode voltage/current of 80 kV/24 A for the cathode and +24 kV for the body. This paper is describing the power supply system for the gyrotron of KSTAR.

  • 본 논문에서는 OR논리게이트를 적용한 순차전압제어방식의 독립형 PV-ESS 시스템을 나타내고 있다. 저압연계방식으로 용량확대에 따른 문제점들을 가지고 있었던 기존 독립형 PV-ESS 시스템에 고압의 아날로그 방식의 순차전압제어 방식을 적용함으로써 고효율, 저가격이 가능한 독립형 PV-ESS 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문은 기존 24V 태양광 단위 모듈의 직렬연결 확장형 고압 배터리의 출력전압 384V을 3상 DC to AC 인버터의 입력 전압으로 하여 인버터의 출력 전압과 출력 전력을 AC380V@60Hz와 10kW로 구성하였다. PSIM 시뮬레이션에 의한 이론 해석의 타당성을 입증하기 위해 실험을 통해 OR 논리 게이트를 적용한 순차전압제어시스템의 동작 특성을 확인하였다.
