  • This study aims at developing the high speed/intelligent machining system suing the plug/play method of an open architecture controller. The plug/play technology by the Application Specific Function (ASF), can readily implement the open architecture controller into various machining system or other automatic equipments. For the open architecture controller, this study developed the open HMI, screen editor, ASF, visual builder, and controller OS technology as software components. On the other hand, we developed the I/O module and main board as control hardware system. This study, as an example, presents integration of individual component technologies for the plug/play type open architecture CNC system.

Visual tracking based Discriminative Correlation Filter Using Target Separation and Detection

  • In this paper, we propose a novel tracking method using target separation and detection that are based on discriminative correlation filter (DCF), which is studied a lot recently. 'Retainability' is one of the most important factor of tracking. There are some factors making retainability of tracking worse. Especially, fast movement and occlusion of a target frequently occur in image data, and when it happens, it would make target lost. As a result, the tracking cannot be retained. For maintaining a robust tracking, in this paper, separation of a target is used so that normal tracking is maintained even though some part of a target is occluded. The detection algorithm is executed and find new location of the target when the target gets out of tracking range due to occlusion of whole part of a target or fast movement speed of a target. A variety of experiments with various image data sets are conducted. The algorithm proposed in this paper showed better performance than other conventional algorithms when fast movement and occlusion of a target occur.

원심펌프 회전차 형상 설계에 대한 연구 (A study on a design for a centrifugal pump impeller shape)

  • In this study, a design for a shape of centrifugal pump impeller has been performed using a p.c. under a Windows environment. Interaction between a user and a computer has been easily established using the Visual Basic. In determining an outer diameter of an impeller, steps are divided into two, a basic computational step and a refinment step. In this way user can enter his/her experience at the refinment step and hence can expect to lessen the nonlinear nature inherent to the design. In determining a shape of a side view of an impeller, the Bezier cubic curve has been used, and it can be seen that the Bezier cubic curves are well suited in the shape design under a Windows environment. By simply manipulating the four control points, one can generate various cubic curves among which one is selected. Also, a simple method, which can determine the curved position of an impeller vane, has been developed. These data can be used for final CAD drawings.

  • The feedback control systems of welding process using visual information can improve weld qualities. However, it is very difficult to get the visual information of weld pool since welding are is much stronger than light from weld pool. To explore the possibility of extending the capability of automatic welding machines a study of a closed loop controlled welding system consisted of a GTA welding machine, a vision system, a stepping motor system and a digital computer was undertaken. Particularly, in this system, a CCD camera with 850nm long pass filter was focused on the weld pool to give a weld pool image. Subsequently, image analysis technique has been developed to measure a weld pool width. Using this weld pool width measurement, a colsed loop control system adjusted welding speed to maintain constant weld pool width.

  • At the large commercial facilities, people try to grasp a customer's needs as the marketing strategies for effective management and maximization of profits as well as the primary purpose for functional and effective spatial plan. In planning the interior of each department, they try to provide the image of the interior environment corresponding to customer's emotional needs. And this kind of efforts also have been improved as visual merchandising strategies based on the transmission of visual information. This study is to examine the correlation among customer's behavior, circulation and VMD by gasping their shopping patterns at the department stores based on the spatial and emotional approach to form an environmental image of each department. The researcher focused on time, speed and rate of shopping that show customer's behavioristic characteristics and examine the factors to have an influence on decision making. With the result, this study proposes the primary data and evidence for MD planning, circulation planning and VMD planning of each department.

Multi-focus Image Fusion using Fully Convolutional Two-stream Network for Visual Sensors

  • We propose a deep learning method for multi-focus image fusion. Unlike most existing pixel-level fusion methods, either in spatial domain or in transform domain, our method directly learns an end-to-end fully convolutional two-stream network. The framework maps a pair of different focus images to a clean version, with a chain of convolutional layers, fusion layer and deconvolutional layers. Our deep fusion model has advantages of efficiency and robustness, yet demonstrates state-of-art fusion quality. We explore different parameter settings to achieve trade-offs between performance and speed. Moreover, the experiment results on our training dataset show that our network can achieve good performance with subjective visual perception and objective assessment metrics.

GK-DEVS의 실시간 시각 시뮬레이션을 위한 외곽공간의 관리 (Bounding Space Management for Real-time Visual Simulation of GK-DEVS)

  • This paper presents bounding space(BS) management for real-time visual simulation when using GK-DEVS models. Since GK-DEVS, extended from DEVS formalism, has information of 3D geometry and 3D hierarchical structure, we employs three types of bounding spaces: BS of its own shape, BS of its children GK-DEVS, and total BS. In addition to next-event scheduling functionality of previous GK-Simulator, its abstract simulation algorithms is extended to manage the three types of BSs so that BSs can be utilized in the rendering process of a renderer, so called GK-Renderer, We have implemented the method and evaluated it with an automated manufacturing system. In the case study, the proposed BSs management method showed about 2 times improvement in terms of rendering process speed.

비행안전을 고려한 조종사의 비행착각에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Spatial Disorientation of Pilots for Flight Safety)

  • Statistical data have shown that most of aircraft accidents attributed to the spatial disorientation result from visually restricted environments such as a flight amid clouds or a night flight, in particular during roll maneuvering. This study investigates the time necessary for a flighting pilot to recognize a sloped status as a horizontal status on the condition that the roll maneuver is operating when the visual sense is blocked In this study, aspects which affect such disorientation phenomena are examined. The result of this study shows that a pilot is rushed into a somatogyral illusion when a certain time elapses with visual sense blocked, and that as a speed of the flight increases and a bank of aircraft decreases, so a rushing time increases rapidly.

식물생장조절제 Trinexapac-ethyl을 이용한 그린관리 (Green management of using with Trinexapac-ethyl)

  • 본 연구는 식물생장조절제 Trinexapac-ethyl을 골프장에 사용한 후 하절기 크리핑 벤트그래스에서 나타나는 생육특성을 파악해, 골프장 코스관리의 기초자료를 제공하고자 수행되었으며 그 결과, 잔디 밀도는 Trinexapac-ethyl 처리 후 대조구에 비해 밀도는 평균 1.7개($cm^2$) 높았으며, 생육조건이 좋지 않은 6월부터 7월 사이에는 평균 2개($cm^2$)이상 높아, 여름철 밀도의 차이가 컸다. 뿌리길이는 대조구에 비해 평균 0.3cm 길게 나타났으며, 6월과 8월을 제외하면 나머지 기간 동안 뿌리 길이의 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 시각적 품질의 차이는 매우 컸는데, 시험 기간 내내 대조구에 비해 유의적으로 높은 품질을 유지하였으며, 특히 장마철과 고온기에도 대조구에 비해 하고현상이 적게 발생되어, trinexapac-ethyl에 의한 고온 스트레스 경감 효과가 있을 것으로 분석되었다. 그린스피드의 차이는 조사 시간 내내 큰 유의차를 보였으며, 특히 벤트그래스 생육에 불리한 6월 말부터 7월 중순까지는 생장조절제에 의한 그린스피드 효과가 더 크게 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 통해, 잔디 생육이 왕성한 봄부터 크리핑 벤트그래스에 생장조절제를 주기적으로 처리 할 경우, 잔디 밀도와 시각적 품질이 개선되고 그린스피드도 빨라져 관리가 힘든 장마철과 여름철 그린관리에 매우 효과적이라는 사실을 알게 되었다. 향후에는 농약 및 비료와의 혼용가능성에 대한 연구가 수행될 예정이며, 생장조절제 trinexapac-ethyl의 다음 해 봄철 그린-업에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구도 수행될 예정이다.

융복합적 신체안정화운동이 고등학교 축구선수의 시각반응속도와 기능적 움직임, 균형 및 폐활량에 미치는 영향 (Effect of convergence body stabilization exercise on the visual response speed and functional movement, balance, and vital capacity of High School Football Players.)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 고등학교 남자 축구선수 24명을 대상으로 10주간 신체안정화운동 프로그램 중재 후 기술체력에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 것이다. 블레이즈포드로 시각반응속도 검사를 시행한 결과 위팔, 왼발, 오른발의 15초간 반응횟수와 반응시간(p<0.001)은 유의하게 증가하였다. 기능적 움직임 평가하기 위해 7가지 동작의 향상 여부 평가결과 허들건너기(p<0.001), 능동적폄다리올리기(p=0.022) 동작이 유의하게 향상되었다. 균형능력을 평가하기 위해 와이발런스 평가결과 양쪽 복합점수(p<0.001)가 유의하게 향상하였다. 기동력과 근지구력을 평가하기 위해 폐활량 측정결과 노력성폐활량(p<0.001)과 1초간 강제날숨량(p=0.003)이 유의하게 향상되었다. 10주간 신체안정화운동 중재 후, 경기에 필요한 기술 체력인 순발력, 민첩성, 다리 근력, 다리의 안정성, 기동력, 근지구력을 효과적으로 향상할 수 있다는 결론을 얻었고, 이러한 기술체력의 향상은 축구선수들의 부상을 방지할 수 있으며, 경기력을 향상할 수 있을 것이다.
