Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine various national standards and to suggest problems and improvements on KS (Korean Industrial Standards) in spectacle frames. Methods: We surveyed the latest published KS, ISO (International Organization for Standardization), JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards), DIN (Deutsches Institut fur Normung) and ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards with relating spectacle frames. The titles that were considered in comparative study were terms and vocabulary, measuring system and terminology, marking, requirements and test methods, formers, screw threads, and others. Results: There were 9 different languages such as English (USA and UK), French, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, German, Italian and Spanish for the lists of equivalent terms and vocabulary in all standards except KS and ANSI, but gave an explanation for terms and vocabulary in only KS. Complementary terms and definitions were not existed in annex of KS and ANSI for measuring system and terminology, but they were included in annex of standards of the others. KS and ANSI standard for requirements and test methods differed from the ISO revision. Except JIS and ANSI, standards of formers were almost identical. KS standard of screw threads were similar to JIS. Standards of welded joints and nickel release did not exist in KS. Conclusions: All standards except ANSI tend to follow ISO, especially DIN is almost entirely identical to ISO. But KS is behind the times because it has been amended lately or established in accordance with older editions of ISO. Therefore, in order to assist quality control and safety for spectacle frames, KS standards shall be superseded by the specifications which is identical to ISO within a reasonable time.
In this study, I examined the visual elements for narrative structure and the symbols, scene components and visual styles in the images through analyze the flat staging in Tomm Moore's animated feature film, . As a research method, I figure out the general theories about staging and analyze extracted scenes which revealed flat staging in the , then summarize and clarify the flat staging production elements and features of Tomm Moore. As a result, in , the composition of the screen using the basic shapes, the screen composition containing the spiral which is symbol of the Celtic traditional pattern, the stable and flat frame expression through the balanced screen composition, expression of spatial sensation using perspective, appearance of the period by using the inverted perspective, and composition that can emphasize the flat formability are appeared as a characteristic. Through this, the two-dimensional planarity was maximized to convey the feeling of appreciating the illustrations of fairy tales. Tomm Moore, who produced animation based on folk tales in order to inherit the traditional culture of Ireland, has been attracting worldwide attention because of its flat staging to help narrative, enhancing the original expression and performance of animation. I hope that this study will be used as basic data for industry workers and researchers who make unique and excellent animated feature film.

Purpose: To plan and improve consumers' satisfaction by analyzing consumers' purchasing behavior of spectacles. Also this will show the need of improvement in reliance of an optician. Methods: A total of 307 people (10 to 60 years) participated in individual questionnaires. Questionnaires comprised of general characteristic of surveyed people, purchasing spectacles behavior, satisfaction after purchasing spectacles, reliability of optician, and improvement points of optician. Results: Most important points in selecting the product were the design and the price of the spectacles. 142 people (46.3%) replied "average" and 140 people (45.6%) replied "satisfying" out of maximum point of satisfaction level which was 5 points. 72.3% of people have regularly visiting optical shop due to the high accessibility, after-sales care, and courteous optician. On the contrary, 27.7% replied "never visit same optician shop again" because of the low accessibility, minimal range of products, and high price. Data showed that people had high re liability about the opticians' knowledge of product, and their technique of eye refraction. Data revealed that people did not show high satisfaction about opticians' knowledge of ophthalmology, and price of products. Most important improvement points were accurate spectacle prescription by Opticians rating 42% of reply. Factors most considered during spectacle selection among the 10 to 20 age group were design by 34.8% and price by 10.1%. Among the 40 to 50 age group, most considered factors were design by 14% and spectacle frame material by 10.1%. Conclusions: Satisfaction rate of purchasing spectacles for the total participant group was 4.2 average grades. Reliability of opticians' eye refraction result and prescription was 50.5%. However consumers wanted to obtain more accurate eye refraction result and prescription with more comprehensive explanations. Also, consumers wanted opticians to be sensitive and have appreciative eye in select spectacles for customers, and to offer precise spectacle dispensing services and courteous after-sales care.

In this paper, we implement robot which are ability to recognize obstacles and moving automatically to destination. we present two results in this paper; hardware implementation of image processing board and software implementation of visual feedback algorithm for a self-controlled robot. In the first part, the mobile robot depends on commands from a control board which is doing image processing part. We have studied the self controlled mobile robot system equipped with a CCD camera for a long time. This robot system consists of a image processing board implemented with DSPs, a stepping motor, a CCD camera. We will propose an algorithm in which commands are delivered for the robot to move in the planned path. The distance that the robot is supposed to move is calculated on the basis of the absolute coordinate and the coordinate of the target spot. And the image signal acquired by the CCD camera mounted on the robot is captured at every sampling time in order for the robot to automatically avoid the obstacle and finally to reach the destination. The image processing board consists of DSP (TMS320VC33), ADV611, SAA7111, ADV7l76A, CPLD(EPM7256ATC144), and SRAM memories. In the second part, the visual feedback control has two types of vision algorithms: obstacle avoidance and path planning. The first algorithm is cell, part of the image divided by blob analysis. We will do image preprocessing to improve the input image. This image preprocessing consists of filtering, edge detection, NOR converting, and threshold-ing. This major image processing includes labeling, segmentation, and pixel density calculation. In the second algorithm, after an image frame went through preprocessing (edge detection, converting, thresholding), the histogram is measured vertically (the y-axis direction). Then, the binary histogram of the image shows waveforms with only black and white variations. Here we use the fact that since obstacles appear as sectional diagrams as if they were walls, there is no variation in the histogram. The intensities of the line histogram are measured as vertically at intervals of 20 pixels. So, we can find uniform and nonuniform regions of the waveforms and define the period of uniform waveforms as an obstacle region. We can see that the algorithm is very useful for the robot to move avoiding obstacles.
To evaluate the effects of reflected glare on eyes, authors assessed the periodic health examination(1991-1996) & self-administered questionnaire data of a semiconductor producing company. The 13 lead frame(LF) department workers have been exposed to high reflected glare in the process for examining the silver plating products. We compared the data of connector(14) and clerical(12) workers as the non-exposed ones. Among LF department workers, 100% felt their visual acuity worsened(connector:81.8%, clerical:85.7%), and 70% had worn the glasses o. contact lenses(connector : 14.3%, clerical :40%) since working at the company. Major ophthalmic symptoms of the LF workers are asthenopia, tearing, decreased visual acuity, congestion and glare. Decrease of visual acuity by Hahn's line change of the LF workers is significantly high during a 5-year follow-up(p<0.05 by simple regression) compared with connector clerical workers.
A typical histogram equalization contrast enhancement effect for improving the image quality is excellent. However, because it appears that excessive changes of the brightness values, The average brightness of the image is changing in units of frames of applications such as a TV video is unsuitable. In order to solve these drawbacks, a modified method of histogram equalization on various studies have been made. But the result images of existing methods sometimes shown visual degradations such as over-enhancement and false contouring. In this paper, we propose improved contrast enhancement method through bi-histogram equalization using target mean brightness based on differential compression method. The proposed method is based on the average brightness value by dividing the histogram, the histogram for each zone, according to the frequency differential of compression. And equalize the modified histogram based on target mean brightness. This allows to suppress deterioration of picture quality, and changes in the average brightness of each frame of video, while maintaining and improving the contrast. Experimental results show that the proposed method compared to the conventional method, the average brightness of each frame from a movie well maintained, and no degradation of the image quality showed a good effect to improve the contrast.
While we interact with other people or objects, the brain continuously updates our own body schema to recognize the agent of observed actions. The Extrastriate Body Area (EBA) provides an initial interface for the sense of agency by integrating visual inputs of body parts with internal signals related to self-generated body movements. Less is known, however, about how the functional use of tools contributes to such processes. Here, we investigated whether tool-specific affordance would differentially affect the neural responses in the EBA depending on the agency of imaginary actions. In each trial we presented a picture of an object in a rectangular frame. Objects were either the tools typically brought towards the body (body tools; e.g., telescope, earphones) or away from the body (world tools; e.g., pen, dice; Rueschemeyer, Pfeiffer, & Bekkering, 2010). Depending on the color of the frame, participants imagined either themselves or the other person using the tool (self vs. other conditions). These four types of trials were randomly intermixed with blank trials. As results, independently localized right EBA regions of interest showed greater activation when participants imagined themselves using body tools than using world tools whereas no such differential activations were found when they imagined the other person using the tools. The postscan test revealed no significant difference in vividness of imagery between the self and other conditions. Our results suggest that the EBA incorporates functional affordance of tools into the body schema in order to enhance the sense of agency and to guide our own actions.

Moving object detection is to detect foreground object different from background scene in a new incoming image frame and is an essential ingredient process in some image processing applications such as intelligent visual surveillance, HCI, object-based video compression and etc. Most of previous object detection algorithms are still computationally heavy so that it is difficult to develop real-time multi-channel moving object detection in a workstation or even one-channel real-time moving object detection in an embedded system using them. Foreground mask correction necessary for a more precise object detection is usually accomplished using morphological operations like opening and closing. Morphological operations are not computationally cheap and moreover, they are difficult to be rendered to run simultaneously with the subsequent connected component labeling routine since they need quite different type of processing from what the connected component labeling does. In this paper, we first devise a fast and precise foreground mask correction algorithm, "Neighbor Foreground Pixel Propagation (NFPP)" which utilizes neighbor pixel checking employed in the connected component labeling. Next, we propose a novel moving object detection method based on the devised foreground mask correction algorithm, NFPP where the connected component labeling routine can be executed simultaneously with the foreground mask correction. Through experiments, it is verified that the proposed moving object detection method shows more precise object detection and more than 4 times faster processing speed for a image frame and videos in the given the experiments than the previous moving object detection method using morphological operations.
The existing studies of VDT syndrome have been researched only about for nurse groups without radiological technologists. The target of this study was workers who perform VDT task in general hospital placed in Daejun City such as insurance judgement, patient affairs, medical record management, medical computing service, hospital administration, and radiological sections. This study was conducted at October 15, 2009 to November 2, 2009 using structured questionnaire. Results of group A (age 20-29, less than 5 years experience at clinical site, normal staff, and unmarried group) showed significant skin and psychological conditions among recognition symptoms of VDT syndrome. Group B (age 30-39, 6-10 years experience at clinical site, managing staff, and married group) tends to be similar at orbital, whole body and muscles' frame response among recognition symptoms of VDT syndrome. Results of "Multiple Linear Regression" with dependent variable that is scores of recognition symptoms of VDT syndrome are as follows. The factors which influences for orbital-related problem is gender, health cares and obstacles during daily life. The factors which influences for whole body-related is exercise, stress and recognition for health condition and the factors which influences muscles' frame-related is 6-10 years experience at clinical site, human relationship, health cares and obstacles during daily life. These are proved to be similar by statistic analysis. There is small difference at recognition symptom of VDT syndrome between the radiological technologist and other groups in general hospital. Yet, as the working circumstance of radiological technologist gradually changes to VDT environment, the recognition symptom of VDT syndrome became conscious. This can be prevented by regular job rotation, which will escape the continuous repetition of working pattern.

Video instance segmentation is an intelligent visual task with high complexity because it not only requires object instance segmentation for each image frame constituting a video, but also requires accurate tracking of instances throughout the frame sequence of the video. In special, human instance segmentation in drama videos has an unique characteristic that requires accurate tracking of several main characters interacting in various places and times. Also, it is also characterized by a kind of the class imbalance problem because there is a significant difference between the frequency of main characters and that of supporting or auxiliary characters in drama videos. In this paper, we introduce a new human instance datatset called MHIS, which is built upon drama videos, Miseang, and then propose a novel video data augmentation method, CDVA, in order to overcome the data imbalance problem between character classes. Different from the previous video data augmentation methods, the proposed CDVA generates more realistic augmented videos by deciding the optimal location within the background clip for a target human instance to be inserted with taking rich spatio-temporal context embedded in videos into account. Therefore, the proposed augmentation method, CDVA, can improve the performance of a deep neural network model for video instance segmentation. Conducting both quantitative and qualitative experiments using the MHIS dataset, we prove the usefulness and effectiveness of the proposed video data augmentation method.
