Purpose: Aspiration pneumonia is an important complication of drug intoxication with decreased mental status. The purpose of the study is to investigate the risk factors of aspiration pneumonia in the patients of benzodiazepine overdose with or without co-ingestion of other drugs. Methods: A retrospective chart review of patients who visited the emergency department between January 2012 and December 2014 was conducted. Demographic data, time from ingestion to visit, initial vital signs, symptoms, mental status, medical history, laboratory results, chest radiological findings and co-ingested medications were recorded. Multiple logistic analyses were performed to verify the association between variables and the development of aspiration pneumonia. Results: A total of 249 patients presented to the emergency department with benzodiazepine overdose. Aspiration pneumonia had developed in 24 patients (9.6%). Univariate analysis revealed time from ingestion to visit was longer, Glasgow coma scale score was lower, hypoxia was presented, leukocytosis was shown, types of ingested drugs was high, less activated charcoal was applied and tricyclic antidepressants was taken in patients that developed aspiration pneumonia. Time from ingestion to visit (odds ratio (OR) 1.121, 95% confidence interval (CI), 1.057-1.189, p=0.000), GCS score (OR 0.724. 95% CI, 0.624-0.839, p=0.000), oxygen saturation (OR 0.895, 95% CI, 0.835-0.959, p=0.002), and co-ingestion of TCA (OR 4.595, 95% CI, 1.169-18.063, p=0.029) were identified as risk factors of morbidity of aspiration pneumonia upon multiple logistic regression analysis. Conclusion: Time from ingestion to visit, low GCS score, low oxygen saturation and co-ingestion of TCA were risk factors of the development of aspiration pneumonia in benzodiazepine overdose patients.

Purpose: Hospice care represents all meaningful aspects of physical, mental and economical status of the end stage patients. The purpose of this study was to estimate the cost of home-based hospice care. Method: Fifteen nurses participated in counting an hour for requirement and home visit data of 50 end stage patients were analyzed. The method of to estimate the cost of home-based hospice care was three ways. Result: In case, including traffic expense, Singles fixed fee per visit via direct inquiry was 112,970 won but in case, excluding traffic expenses, was 86,036 won and traffic expenses per visit was 26,934 won. Final cost of home-based hospice care integrated the fixed fee per the needed time for visit and fee-for services. The fixed fee per 30 minutes was 35,251 won and 60 minutes was 46,595 won and 90 minutes was 57,939 won. We included pain management and the management of emergency and bereavement care among fee-for services. Conclusion: The cost of hospice care should be establish for not only patient but the living spouse, families, and children of the dying and for anyone else affected by any patient's death.
Purpose: The purpose of the study was to investigate and compare the usual source of healthcare and frequent visits to emergency departments. Methods: The study subjects were 7,252 individuals with chronic diseases who filled out the questionnaire of the 2013 Korea Health Panel Survey. Data were analyzed using chi-square test and logistic regression. Results: Compared to having a public health center or clinic as a usual source of healthcare, it is 1.341 times more likely for a chronic disease patient to visit an emergency department if the hospital is her/his usual source of healthcare, while it is 1.656 times more likely for the patient to visit a general/tertiary hospital. Conclusion: It is important to investigate visits at the emergency department requiring primary care for diseases.
The purpose of this study is to examine the differences of selecting coffee shop and type of coffee according to the reason for the visit. The proposed model was empirically tested by using survey data collected from 209 university students in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. SPSS has been used to preform this analysis. The study found six reasons for visiting Coffee shops which are convenience, social contact, psychological factor, economic factor, mental factor, and habitual visit. As we gorup these six reasons into three groups, students who visit coffee shops according to economic or habitual factor consider more on 'diversity of coffee'. And students who visit coffee shops according to convenience or habitual factor consider more on 'kindness of worker'. And last group who visit coffee shops according to social factor consider more on 'moderate price of coffee'. The reason why the reason for the visit and the attributes of selecting Coffee Shop are not meaningful to the type of coffee which students chose is that most of students tend to choose certain type such as Americano. And this also result from the traditional managements which don't have enough effort or the differentiation about the variety of menu.
Starting from April, 2003, new pre-review system has been introduced and implemented to reduce unnecessary conflict with medical care organizations caused by current retrospective claim review system and to enhance efficiency of review system. The main purpose of pre-review system is to educate doctors to contrive adequacy of medical services. This research mainly focuses on effectiveness of pre-review system's influence on physicians' behavior changes. The analysis-participants were drawn from 1,449 clinics which implemented pre-review system, since April of 2003. The research results are as followings. First, the amount per claim has reduced by $\\3,154$, days of visit per claim by 0.1 day, and amount per visit by $\\412$, which were statistically significant. Second, anesthesiologists have decreased in three indicators the most, and the internists had least of changes. Third, the amount per claim and days of visit per claims has dropped significantly on physicians with less periods of practice and physicians with more ages. Fourth, the clinics without the expensive medical equipments, the city clinics showed significant decrease on days of visit per claim. Fifth, in intervention methods, the one-to-one education showed more significant decrease on amount per visit rather than information feedback by paper. In conclusion, the pre-review system have an impact on self-imposed physician behavioral change. The outcome of this research may be utilized for future extension implementation of pre-review system. Furthermore, it is showed that ability of transitions in medical services review system according to the future transition of payment system and context of health service policy.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the antimicrobial effect of silverized elastomers on mutans streptococci in dental plaque. Methods: Forty patients undergoing orthodontic treatment were randomly placed into 1 of 2 groups. We examined the maxillary right and left central incisors and premolars, and the mandibular right and left canines of all participants. We ligated the right maxillary and left mandibular teeth of the participants in group 1 with silverized elastomers and ligated their contralateral teeth with conventional elastomers. We ligated the left maxillary teeth and right mandibular teeth of group 2 participants with silverized elastomers. Each participant visited the clinic 4 times at 3-week intervals. We applied the elastomers to the teeth on one side of each patient's mouth during their first visit. During the second visit, the elastomers were removed for microbiological analysis and replaced with steel ligatures. During the third visit, we used silverized elastomers to ligate the teeth contralateral to those treated on the first visit. The elastomers were removed during the fourth visit, and microbiological analyses were performed. We compared the quantity of bacteria on silverized and conventional elastomers at the 0.05 level of significance. Results: The percentage of mutans streptococci was not significantly different in cultures of dental plaque from the silverized and the conventional elastomers (p > 0.05). Conclusions: There was no significant difference between the antimicrobial effect of the silverized elastomers and that of the conventional elastomers.

The purpose of this research was to derive political suggestion to increase the demand for forest visit by analyzing the demand of forest visitors, focusing on the residents of Seoul and capital areas. The determinants of demand, which is the number of forest visit in a year, were analyzed by independent variables; six factors from factor analysis on selective attributes, demographic characteristics, and other variables related with the general matters when visiting a forest. As a result, among the independent variables, selective attribute (tourism resource factor), gender (male), and residency (Seoul) were found out to have positive(+) effect on demand for forest visit. However, other selective attribute (external factor of forestry), occupation (white-collar employee), and level of education (over college graduate) were found out to have negative(-) effect on demand for forest visit. Based on these results, implications for the expansion of demand for forest visits were derived.
Purpose - Generally, the consumer's decision-making process for restaurant selection is simple and familiar. However, online information becomes important because the decision-making process of consumers becomes complicated in new restaurants and special situations. Because consumers can search for information online, information retrieval is now possible in selecting new restaurants. In particular, consumers often make decisions based on online information when making restaurant reservations. Research design, data, and methodology - All items were measured based on previous studies. The data were collected from customers who had visited the store by visiting the web page of the food service franchise within the last 3 months for the panel of the online survey institute. The questionnaires were surveyed from July 2 to July 11, 2018 for about 10 days. A mail and a message were sent to 2,000 people, and 310 people were asked to complete the questionnaire. Total of 303 data were used in the questionnaire, excluding 7 insufficient data. Results - The findings of this study are as follows: Consensus, vividness, and neutrality have positive effects on enjoyment. Consensus have positive effect on anxiety, but vividness and neutrality did not have significant effect on anxiety. Also, enjoyment has a positive influence on intention to visit, and anxiety has a negative influence on visit intention. Conclusions - First, franchise companies online advertising in a variety of ways, but they are mixed with other customers' WOM and offered to consumers. In this case, the information provided by the company may be distorted. Therefore, a restaurant franchise company needs to operate an official online channel to provide accurate information to its customers. Second, it is necessary to make contents so that other customers can participate in online channels of food service franchise companies. Third, food service franchise company should produce enough online contents to experience indirectly even if the customer does not visit the store directly. Fourth, food service franchise company needs to prepare a way for many customers to participate in many official contents.

Background: Medication-related problems (MRPs) frequently occur during the discharge period. Elderly patients, particularly, are at high risk for these problems due to polypharmacy and the use of potentially inappropriate medications. The purpose of this study was to build and implement collaboration between general hospital and community pharmacies to address MRPs among high-risk elderly patients before/after discharge. Methods: This retrospective study was conducted between June and December of 2020. The inclusion criteria were patients with aged ≥65 years; residents of Jeonju; discharged from Jeonbuk National University hospital; either on medication of exceeding 10 medications (or high-risk medications) after hospitalization through the emergency room, or having severe illness. Patients received medication reconciliation and counselling by hospital pharmacists before discharge and home-visit pharmaceutical care as follow-up by community pharmacists after discharge. Results: Twenty-two patients agreed to home-visit pharmaceutical services. Fifteen and 11 patients completed the first and second home-visit pharmaceutical care service, respectively. Forty-two MRPs were identified in 15 patients. The types of high-frequency MRPs were incorrect administration of drug, adverse drug reactions, medication non-compliance, drug-drug interactions, lifestyle modifications, and expired medication disposal. After consultation with the pharmacist, 34 out of 42 MRPs were resolved. Conclusions: Transitional care for high-risk elderly patients before and after discharge was successfully built and implemented through a collaboration between general hospital and community pharmacies. This study suggests that home-visit pharmaceutical services may have positive effects on the safe use of drugs during the transition period; however, additional research is needed to expand on these findings.
